Falling short for the standards of high-end value hotels

Expectations were high but unfortunately, the hotel dissapointed in key aspects of what's considered a high-end stay. Our mattress was clearly worn down, was un even i.e., had "holes" in certain parts and needed a change. Automatic light switches in wardrobes did not turn themselves off when closed which meant that we had to sleep with those lights on. When asked concierge to fix it, no one did. No soap in soap dispenser at the shower. When entering the hotel, the doorman instead of greating me, asked me, rather rudely where I ws heading (as if I did not belong there) In short, had great expectations about Accor's top tier sofitel brand and was utterly disappointed by the experience. As a titanium member in Marriott, a Diamond member in Hilton and a Globalist member in Hyatt, I wanted to tell my friends and piers to try Accor. There is no way I would do that over the other brands.

We stayed at the Santa Clara because we celebrated our wedding there. It was an absolute dream with the perfect customer service that we have ever had in our lives. The staff were extremely nice and always ready to be there for us when we needed anything. The wedding was also perfect, everything went how we planned it and again the staff were just amazing! I will recommend this hotel 100% and we want to stay there again!
