Warm, welcoming staff, everyone was so friendly, happy, and helpful. Beautiful old Spanish hotel with great ambiance, really felt like you got a sense of Cuban people/culture; Loved relaxing in the lobby; round the clock live Cuban music in the hotel bar/patio; complementary drinks/appetizers Mon, Wed, and Fri in the lobby and daily full breakfast buffet included in room rate. Great location for exploring Habana Viejo.

a bit old fashion - like the island but very comfortable in the heart of La Havana. super swimming pool. excellent breakfast for Cuba. Nice music and atmosphere. the staff is polite and efficient. A very good hotel in general

« Wonderful Hotel in Havana ! »

My long weekend stay at Hotel Sevilla in Havana was fantastic ! Everyone on the staff from check-in to check-out, were very friendly and professional. When I needed help, they were attentive to my requests. The house-keeping staff was so friendly and did a great job. The food at the restaurants was wonderful. The staff even found out that it was my birthday and gave me a nice gift. I have recommended this fine hotel to others visiting Havana, and I will definitely stay here again on my next trip. Thank you to the staff at the Hotel Mercure Sevilla Havana.

Best hotel for a first visite to the Habana city. Perfectly situated, confortable, clean (European standard) and it keeps it's cuban atmosphere. The breakfast is marvellous, fresh fruits, diversified food (sweet and salty) and a beautiful view to start the day. I recommand this hotel to all my relatives.

faded grandeur, in need of major overhaul particularly the lifts, which failed daily . However the porters were very efficient and helpful, going the extra mile. the tourist information was lacking and inefficient promising to get back to me with information, but failing. Required to go to other hotel to get tourist bookings

Excellent hotel from all perspectives and I would highly recommend it. Firstly I would like to acknowledge the excellent service from the manager (Gerardo Souto) and the front desk staff. When we arrived at the hotel the Visa network was down and we did not have sufficient cash for the two nights stay. Gerado realised the predicament we were in, allotted us a room and assured us that he would make alternative arrangements if the network was not up by the next day. Fortunately that night the network came back up. In addition, the hotel overall is excellent in terms of all aspects - location, layout, rooms, breakfast, bar, entertainment, etc. And it has a stunning panaromic view of Havana from the top floor - which is the breakfast and dinner restaurant.

The staff was so great, friendly and helpful. The entertainment was definitely first class. You can spend hours just enjoying the various musicians and dancers. Location is perfect for walking around old Havana.

« Way overpriced. »

I wouldn't recommend staying in this hotel for the price it charges. We spent almost $600 per night here, as we went with a child, so they charged a huge surcharge for an one extra person. But even without that, it's just not worth the price of a room. Here's the good and the bad: The good: live music in the lobby and breakfast terrace nearly all day and night. Excellent musicians, very enjoyable! Lovely courtyard and decor, nice pool. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially pool towel guy, the bell boys, doormen, a sweet waiter that danced with people and the concierges. (There was one decidedly sour woman at the front desk, unfortunately). Beautiful breakfast terrace with view, and great buffet for breakfast. The bad: The room itself gets one star. Totally plain, no frills, and even shoddy, with peeling paint, crusty. I know they're going for a retro feel, but they could do this in a more tasteful way. And basically, because they charge an arm and a leg--the most expensive hotel room I've ever paid for--guests are bound to be disappointed. Highway robbery!

All hotels have sen their price getting higher since a year since the demand is far higher than the offer. « Dont expect anything special. The rate you pay is not reflective of what you get »

Below average hotel and service was no where near what I expected. Understanding that it is Cuba, there is still a certain level of service you have in mind going to an Accor hotel. For what we paid, I couldve stayed at the best Casa in Havana with the greatest service and much better cleanliness. Guaranteed check in time was 2 or 3PM, we got in at 12PM, walked around the city waiting for the rooms to be cleaned and when we came back at 5PM they still werent ready. Once they gave us the keys, we went up only to find the room not cleaned. A little disappointing for sure and they did nothing to compensate for the mistakes. We had a business meeting in the lobby area and and tried waiving down a server and didnt have anyone come over until 45 minutes after! All in all, not impressed with this hotel, not impressed with Accor group but still love Havana and will stay elsewhere on the next visit.

The best at this hotel is the customer care. I saw the director of operations present all the time, helping out clients with various needs. Including me with a credit card issue. He was so helpful and patient with clients.

I enjoyed the ambience of this nice old fashioned hotel. The breakfast was wonderful; the staff was always hepful. The location was exactly what I needed, very close to the centre. Not always perfect, but but I liked it very much.

I was last in Havana in 1994 so had tempered expectations about the tourism industry in Cuba. It was a very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Sevilla. The location was great, the staff was friend and helpful and the food was fine - the breakfast included in my stay had a nice selection in a beautiful 9th floor dining room. The pool area was nice and relaxing after a hot day of touring around. My room was large and comfortable with an old colonial style. All in all a very good stay!

Hotel was in excellent condition. Staff was courteous and energetic. Conversion of money was expensive due to government control. Excellent location. Close to restaurant, shops and coastline. I recommend this hotel.

A beautifully restored historical building with an interesting past. The dining room in the former ballroom on the top floor was a feature. The meals were very good. There was a vibrant atmosphere with music almost all the time. Some of the expected comforts such as soap were missing.

Sevilla hotel is quite conveniently located and it has a nice pool, and a top floor restaurant with a commanding view of the city. The hotel retains some of its old charm and style and the pictures of illuatrious former guests are definitely a premium. Overall though its conditions lack a much needed refurbishment, and the price charged for its rooms it rather applies to a five-star than an average 4- stat. Staff is vwry serviceable and gentle and tris to make up for the shortcomings of the structure. Overall a pleasant sejour albeit a pricey one :)

Hotel accommodation were excellent, the staff's attentiveness and expertise was top-quality, property is centrally located - all terrific. Only thing that could use improvement is food - probably not their fault, given what is available in the country.

« NOT AT THE STANDARD OF ACCOR »

I booked two rooms for a total of 6 days. I went around Cuba from Santiago to Habana for more than two weeks and so could sample different hotels or type of accommodation. Sevilla comes at the bottom of the list. The rooms were not properly maintained (bulbs were missing, the toilets did not work correctly, the showers were broken, the curtains were hanging in an haphazard fashion, and the breakfast was just awful. The staff was all smiles and no work!!!!

I stayed 2 nights at the end of November 2016 before embarking on a 2 week cycle tour of Cuba. I had a lovely room - well more like a suite really. It was very clean and comfortable. OK so there was a damp smell, but that was fine once the aircon was turned on. Yes the room was 'dated' but this is Cuba. The room was spotless and the little hand written notes were a lovely touch from the housekeeping department. they even made an elephant from the towels. I would recommend this hotel. It is located in a perfect position on the edge of Old Havana and Central, close to the Capitol Building and the Malecon. If you are looking for 21st Century chrome and glass then don't go to Cuba. If you are looking for charm, cleanliness, comfortable bed and a great view from the top floor restaurant, then the Mercure Seville is for you. Just a comment on the breakfast in the restaurant - the selection was absolutely fine. I am a gluten free vegetarian and managed very well. You have to realise that there is not the range of foods available in Cuba as in many other places. You will not go hungry and just have to accept things are different here. Note, things are different, NOT bad.

« Don't expect much »

overpriced and under nice sweet maids, grumpy front desk people - very full of themselves. I mean, they work at the desk of a hotel, why not be! and then there is the $5 internet cards sold every where else for $2. Very disappointed to pay $500 a night for a beautiful old building - with GREAT entertainment - but little things just not right. place would have been a good deal at $60 a night. MAYBE

« Never again at his Accor Hotel »

This was one of my worst stay at a hotel which is run down, airconditioning sucks, no fans to make rooms comfortable,communication with staff difficult due to limited comprehension in English. Being offered VIP breakfast at rooftop restaurant found service deplorable thought the view is great and nice musicians to entertain.The General Manager was polite as well Anabel one of the managers but they were all helpless stating non availibity of materials etc. Overall not good value for money! I do understand Cuba has its own difficulties of goods and materials better to stay with Cuban families and save money as seems impossible to have decent hotels in Cuba. Nevertheless enjoyed the overall ambience of music and willingness of staff to help whatever they could.
