« Met my needs, as expected, but..... »

I am very familiar with Ibis hotels; and everything here was in line with my expectations. I would have been perfectly happy had it not been for a hiccup with the breakfast service on my second morning (10th Oct.). When I arrived at the restaurant (about 9.20, I think), hardly any of the foodstuffs were available and there was no crockery or cutlery. It took some time for this to be remedied - and then only in a limited way.

The quality of the bedding & bathroom were good., so was the maid service. The room was good for my length of stay. The breakfast was good BUT there was not enough cutlery/crockery and it felt cramped at 9am especially around the initial tray pick up area & bread/croissant area. The juice machine ran out of juice on Sunday morning. The bar is always inadequately stocked and staffed during the weekends I have stayed there - we always come for the Prix De L'Arc De Triomphe horse racing as do many of the guests and it would be nice to have a properly run bar - this problem is not unique to this hotel, we have stayed at a few Ibis hotels for this weekend and they never cater for the increased demand on the bar.

The room was extremely small, the air conditioner didn't work, they offered me a fan and I should open the window (4 days without air conditioner). There wasn't mini freezer in the room, the washroom was so small that, when I take a shower, wet the whole bathroom. The wardrobe was so short. The breakfast is expensive and it is not good, few fruits, fried eggs, sausage, bacon, etc... I've really regretted book this hotel

It was a little further from the Gare du Nord than I expected - but I should have paid more attention to the map. The room was clean. and the bed very comfortable, but it was small and ill-equipped, for example, no place for luggage. I was a single occupant but it would have been very small for two. For what was provided the price seemed far too high (but that applies to many things in Paris these days). All in all it compared badly with what is provided by, say, the Leonardo chain in Germany.

Rude personal; scruffy old tiny rooms. The hotel will charge you for leaving your luggage in coin-based lockers after check-out . the staff won't tell you upfront and of course won't take the luggage themselves but instead send you to the garage to the locker room. Never seen this before not even in the worst 1 star pensions.

« I would use Ibis again. »

Hotel is clean, small room. Only 2 single pillows, a thick duvet so couldn’t use it. No extra sheet so couldn’t use that instead of duvet. Charging port didn’t work, no wifi was promised. Breakfast was a buffet which was stated when booking i paid extra for it and didn’t get to have any.

Bed were very comfortable with great pillows. Although the room was compact there was enough space for the two of us. Bathroom was roomy with towels/shower gel and hairdryer. Very convenient location short walk from Gard du Nord with other metro stations nearby. Not the greatest of areas but no different from hotels near any main line station. Never felt unsafe. Continental style breakfast with great bread. There was also fruit salad/yogurt/ham/cheeses/croissants and a boil your own egg pan.
