« Good choice for a long weekend in Paris »

Nice and clean room, large bathroom. Breakfast was buffet style with good variety. Walking distance to Gare du Nord station, tour buses and Metro stops. Recommended for travellers on short stays in Paris.

Positives: We were very impressed with the modern look of the hallway and the room, which was exceptionally clean. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. Short walk from Gard du Nord. Negatives: I was not impressed with the fact that we had to pay to store our luggage, as we arrived before check-in and wanted to go straight out; I have never had to do this at a hotel before. We had to take our luggage down to the storage lockers, which you access through the damp basement and have to cross through the car park; I definitely would not have felt comfortable doing this alone... not a very nice customer experience. It's a shame that the fresh modern look on the rooms and the hallways is not carried through to the reception area; it would make for a better first impression. All in all it was a pleasant stay, if not slightly marred by the luggage experience.

Air conditioner was not working and also when I asked for directions at front desk on how to get to the Eifel Tower realized it was intentionally wrong, luckily we asked again at the train station.

A handy location, just 10 minutes walk from Gare du Nord, the Metro station Louis Blanc not too far away, and a bit further on a Carrefour Cite small supermarket. Not many restaurants nearby though. Our room was a big surprise, being two knocked into one - very spacious and a shower room and TV each! Only downside - the aircon was extremely noisy, so we turned it off and opened the (two!) windows as far as we could (they are on a chain to restrict them) and some cooler air came in. Staff were friendly but not too gushing. Breakfast was the normal Ibis buffet, plenty of choice, and the Madeleines were freshly baked and absolutely delicious! There was some building work going on in the hotel during our stay, but that did not disturb us. I would have given an Excellent for the room except for the noisy aircon. A very good hotel, and we will return!

Our room was great, except for one thing, which was that the air-conditioner was extremely noisy! Everything else was good. The refurbished shower room was lovely and clean and the shower efficient. The bed was comfortable. Because the air-conditioner was too noisy to use, we had to have the windows open, but the chain on them restricted the amount of fresh air coming in. The breakfast was very good, and the highlight was the fresh baked Madeleines, they were delicious - the best I ever tasted! Staff on reception friendly and helpful.

« Experienced several maintenance issues »

When I arrived, I had to go from my room to the front desk several times because my key card did not work. Eventually they determined that the battery did not work. They took my card and I had to get another one later. Also the power to the thermostat was off, therefore the cooling did not work. It was very warm in the room and I could not sleep well.

« Not a worthy stay »

Unfriendly staff.. Not even care to help or respond properly. No basic facility, not even a common oven to heat baby milk. Very small rooms, no space to keep stroller also. Renovation work is going on outside our rooms which makes troublesome noisy and dusty environment. Overall very much unsatisfied with the service - Not a worthy stay for family.

Good location near train and metro stations, but air conditioning was not working and was not fixed throughout our stay. We were provided with an electric fan upon request, but aircon would have made our stay a lot more comfortable as it was quite hot during that week. It would have been better if we were moved to a different room with a working aircon. If the whole hotel has a problem with the air conditioning and the weather was hot, customers should have been informed upon check-in of this issue and occupied rooms should have been provided with electric fans immediately. Wi-fi was also dropping-off and/or quite slow - sometimes no connection even after several device restarts. A working internet connection in a hotel that provides it is important to customers who are doing further research on places in Paris during their stay.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my most sincere apologies. The two issues you are pointing out are issues that we are currently working on. You may have noticed some works going on on your floor. Those are regarding the aircon that we are replacing in the entire hotel. So for a short period of time, the faulty aircon that we had had to be set off in order to do these works. As for the wifi, many guests reported it as being slow or unefficient. As a result we are changing our internet provider for a better connection. This will occur during the coming weeks. I am sorry your stay didn't fully meet your satisfaction.
