« I've stayed before and looking forward to staying again. »

Your atttention to detail to make my stay as comfortable as possible, for example having the room cooled down before my arrival. In reception the person looked to see if the room I had previously stayed in was available..it wasn't but I was put in a room nearby. I was not a member of Acor Hotels when I checked in for the second time in a month but the receptionist ensured that I was sent an email invitation which I have since accepted.

Murpheys pub meal was crap...this was refunded by the General Manager when he found out...which was appreciated...the room had a detol smell...the shower had nowhere to sit any toiletries, only the floor...the toilet rolls got wet from the shower and they were just hanging on the wall loose...the tiles in the shower floor were all stained and the shower walls were peeling where they were painted over .... furniture very dated...pretty much sucked for the price...when I mentioned this to the GM the next day he just said "its twice the price in the dry season" I really dont think that's something to be proud of...breakfast was crappy as well...bacon cooked like the yanks have it stiff and uncutable...a side salad with dressing wtf is going on there...its breakie...the coffee machine for guests must have used powdered milk...pretty gross...had to pay $5 if you wanted a barista coffee...overall a pretty sad place to stay...

Room up to usual Mercure standard. Unfortunately fridge froze my road snacks for the next day (read - limp frozen rocket, blurrhh) Shower always sprays under the showerscreen and across the bathroom. But lovely, thick towels. Dinner - would be nice if gluten-free options were shown as GF after the name of the dish on room menu. Had to ring kitchen to ask. Lovely presentation of meal, looked great! Ordered Thai Salad and Pear Tart - something was not gluten-free (read - made good friends with toilet) Very, VERY impressed with biodegradeable cutlery and serving dishes - great that Mercure is making a difference. Great reception staff! Will come again!

The bed is always comfortable, the room quiet, the staff friendly and its right beside the domestic terminal. It suits me because I'm overnighting from or to NZ to an Australian work location, but on prev trips to Brisbane where I would stay in a city hotel for a conference, my preference would now be your hotel.

« A relaxing couple of days in our first visit to Broome. »

Impressed with the attentive staff and that they went above and beyond to make our experience a good one. If I had any complaints it would be that the carpark and grounds were slightly below scratch (auto gate not working etc) but I fully understand that could be a result of being out-of -season. Bed was comfortable and room facilities met expectations with the small exception that the shower could have been a little cleaner on our arrival (there was a little ball of hair on the drain grid - no biggie because I managed to poke it down the drain before the wife spotted it!!)
