Comfortable room. Security was good - on the first stay. On the second stay, had a problem with heating in the room and no blankets, that was a ground floor room. Staff were nice. Breakfast was not as good as we expected, but ok. Meals were standard. Having said that I will book there again due to the convenience to car security.

I enjoyed staying with you. The TV in my room didn't work very well. On every channel the colours keep going from bright to dull and everyone in the picture had a green face. I decided to have a continental breakfast which was very disappointing. Most of the fruit was not ripe, poor choice of cereal eg no muesli. Your coffee is terrible.

I was disappointed that our room was to be on the first floor and we had to take the bags up the stairs. Not an option for us. I was glad to be given a ground floor room.

Our experience at Mercure Broome was not good at all. I booked Mercure Broome purely because I am an Accor Plus member and expected the usual Accor Hotels quality. I booked a superior queen room with pool view. On arrival we found that we had been upgraded(?) to a larger room. However this room was dark (no natural light), it had a stale odour and had no view at all; was old and worn. I complained to reception and requested our original booked room. On changing to this room I found that this room, although with a sort of view to the pool, was also dark and had a worse stale odor and was not clean. The toilet bowl was dirty and stained, the wash basin was cracked and stained. On opening the wardrobe the handle came off in my hand. We just could not stay in this room as it made us feel quite uncomfortable and ill. The surrounds outside the room were dirty. The pool was dirty and had not been cleaned, the grounds around the buildings were dirty. Again we complained to reception who gave us a larger room outlooking the front of the Hotel. This was room was better, however was still dark and very worn. It at least did not have as much of the stale odour. The toilet bowl was dirty and stained and the wash basin was stained and cracked; the shower was dirty. We had breakfast in the Hotel which was less than satisfactory. The food was dry and tasteless; the bread for toast was dry and hard; the fruit was dry and tasteless. We went to the Pub beside the Mercure for our free arrival drink . This was also dirty and smelly and we could not finish our drinks as the place made us feel nauseous. We stayed for the one night of the 7 nights we had booked. We felt that we could not stay in this Hotel for the remainder of our stay in Broome. We booked into the Mangrove Hotel in Broome which was much more like the quality that we would have expected from Accor Hotels. The Mercure reception staff were very helpful through all of this. The condition, quality and cleanliness of the Mercure Broome is certainly not up to the standard that we have come to expect from Accor Hotels. On checking out after the first night, the reception staff discussed with the Manager and said that we would receive a refund of the balance of the fees we had paid. To date we have not received any refund. Also we had claimed our Accor Plus membership free night for this stay and request that this free night be recredited to my Accor Plus membership account. I would not recommend the Mercure Broome to anybody, not even for one night stay. As an Accor Plus member, I was extremely disappointed with the Mercure Broome. I must say, though, that the reception staff tried very hard to satisfy our needs but the poor condition, poor quality, poor cleanliness and stale odour of the rooms and untidy surrounds just made it impossible for us to stay there. We look forward to receiving the refund of the balance of moneys paid and recredit of our free night to our Accor Plus membership account. I am happy to discuss this further if you need any further information.

Staff were friendly and the quality of the food at breakfast was great however the room was in need of repairs. The tv was broken and the curtains needed refitting. Not sure why the tea facilities were in the wardrobe and not a cupboard above the fridge.

The laundry needs to be upgraded it does not have to be this ugly room tucked away and please more than one machine is required. Remember we are Drayton a hotel we require these facilities it is the North of WA red dust gets into clothes. The cleaners need to Ajax the bathroom hygiene standards need to be applied.

Our allocated room had the bedding stripped off and the toilet was unflushed after its previous use. Upon complaining, we were allocated a room that had been serviced and the remainder of our stay was very good. We had been upgraded by the hotel and this was a substantial benefit.

Everything was comfortable at the hotel. The only thing I could complain about would be the lighting at night time. Great for normal tv use but too dim otherwise.

Crappy, tiny, dirty laundry. Need more ramp access to Reception from side gate. Need opening instructions on side gate. Need more directional signs to laundry & reception.
