Nice place, coffee in bars not seems like coffee at all it’s almost filtered water, you need to more care about housekeeping in room above balaconey currents there is spidered web the sofa was dusty the bed sheet and bed sides stained. Floors corners, not feel any kind of welcoming with the check-in maybe because of Russian animator makes the check in for meFood and beverage are nice specially Mostafa in main restaurant

Enjoyed it more than most alternatives out there with same star rating. Friendly staff, and true hospitality. Loved the landscape, and the place is really pleasent to the eyes. Pool is nice, yet better be more heated than that. Food is average, and comes with variety. Better offer less items and higher quality. Rooms are nice, clean and comfy. Will definitely come back.

It was a pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds were very well kept. The room was clean and tidy although the lighting was very poor. Food was average, and it is at this point where we were deeply unsatisfied. The hotel boasts of many different cuisines in a separate restaurant from the all - inclusive, which needed to be booked 2 days in advance. The choice was appalling, having to select type of food at booking stage. The dishes were tasteless, over cooked or barely warm, and were not really acceptable. New Years eve was probably the worst (although there was less people as many others had opted for the celebratory meal at an extra cost which I also disagree with), the staff, once they remembered you, wanted to rush to give you the dishes, no mention of drinks before hand, it was rush rush rush. If I was paying extra for this ‘luxury meal’ I would have walked out asked for my money back. Breakfast foods were plenty but fresh fruit was very bland, oranges, melon and dates everyday, no variety, very poor. The entertainment was ok. The music played during the day around the pool area was repeated everyday at the same time. I could set my watch to the tunes. It was also more for the younger generation, although there were very few young people. On New Year’s Eve guests opting not to pay for celebratory dinner etc were told they could use the disco bar for drinks and seating. This bar was absolutely disgusting. It stank of alcohol and cigarette smoke. Families could not take their children in it as it was a risk to their health with the smell of stagnant tobacco. Sitting outside was not an option due to the very cold evening, a lack lustre evening for many of us.

Just had 4 days here with our 7 year old leading up to new years eve and had a lovely time. Only negative was our room was a bit tired. Staff were brilliant all over the resort and had good English which is always a help. Food was good, varied and hot. Outdoors was fantastic with the main pool being heated in the winter and a fabulous beach, going back again at Easter, can't wait

Had a great time. Very friendly front desk, and very nice waiters. Great value for the price. Our 3rd visit! The animation team do a really great job, however, if I do have one criticism it is that the men from the animation team are very focused on Russian speakers only. Come on guys - it's an international hotel - no more 'jokes' about black people please.

« Nice beach, clean rooms and great service »

Very good and fast service at the reception (german, russian, english, arab, maybe more...). The room was clean and modern. "same day laundry" was on time. The beach area is nice and clean and has enough sunbeds. Bars and cafes are pretty much open, so that you get the feeling of being outside all the time.

I have just returned from two nights stay at Mercure hotel Hurghada. The location of the hotel is great. The check-in process was horrible, when I have arrived they said to me no rooms are available now, one hour and it will be ready and the reality was around 3 hours after multiple trials of asking. The room was nice and I was astonished it was handicaps friendly, the room was kept OK. The general atmosphere of the hotel is so good, the gardens are great, the staff responsible for this are doing great efforts. The beach is a great positive point, always kept clean, thanks for the responsible guys. Beach bar was also nice. The pool area was extremely great and kept clean, thanks guys. The restaurant was a weak point, the food quality and diversity were not good enough, some of the staff were not doing their work well. Recreation team were nice. I think the hotel is a great one but needs some touches to be the best.
