« Ideal location »

The Hotel is in an ideal location very close to the airport and to the main highways. The rooms were well sized and very clean. Entertainment on tv is quite vast and there are various languages to choose from.

The hotel employees is very well trained, very available and kind. The Quality of the installation is very good, with excellent breakfast. The bus service to the airport and to the city works perfectly

We had some wonderful days in Florence and a satisfying stay at the Novotel Hotel. Although it is not central getting to the city center is fast and the bus station is in walking distance. The room was ok it needed some improvement in the bathroom area but nothing major otherwise it was fine and spacious. Overall a good choice and value for money.

We were just staying for one night and getting up early for a flight. There was noise in the courtyard till fairly late at night which disturbed us somewhat. The heating was also on high even though it was a warm day and we struggled to bring the temperature of the room down. Otherwise the staff we friendly and help arranging taxis and sorting out paying with Accor points.

I stayed at the Florence Airport Novotel for one night with my three teenage children. The room was good, comfortable and silent, as always at Novotel. We used a free hotel shuttle to Florence's main railway station.

Check in was easy, room was nicer this time. There were some spots in the bathroom which could have been cleaner, mildew around shower for example. Dinner at the restaurant was good. Check was normal, pay Italian tax on the way out. Annoying but this is Italy.

Pleasant room decor, spacious bedroom and bathroom, all very clean. It's a pity this is offset by really meagre supplies for the very welcome tea and coffee provisions (if, like many couples, you both like the same tea - bad luck, there is only one of each of 4 types) and paper cups. Restaurant food bland but OK, and relatively expensive. Good free shuttle service to airport, but only at limited times. Overall, good value for money.

Nice hotel and location with good service and facilities. The staff is professionall and well organised to cater to a global clientele.Only 5 minutes to the Airport, or 15 minutes by shuttle to the Main Firenze Railway Station. Would recommend to business and tourist travellers.

Very nice room. Pretty good restaurant and bar. We were led to believe there was a shuttle to the airport, but there was not. Taxi was not very expensive, but they should clarify this in information about hotel, as I think many stay at the hotel to catch an early flight.

Overall it's very nice stay. Free gaming station made kids happy. It's a bit away from the city but the shuttle to and from city was very good. It could have been better if the hotel has free breakfast for Platinum members.

Over all, good experience. I originally booked room because it is close to airport and you marketed that you ran an airport shuttle. After several emails, I was finally told a couple of days before my arrival that there was no shuttle early in the morning (4:00 AM) and I would need to arrange a taxi. This could have been resolved the first email instead of sending me additional emails hinting that you would provide shuttle service. This was a bit ingenuous. The desk clerk did set me up a taxi which was on time. The room was very nice and clean. Good wifi. I enjoyed my dinner, however, my girlfriend did not enjoy the mushroom ravioli because it was under-cooked and hard.

« Fine, but not quite what I imagined »

My experience was a bit frustrating, as I had selected this hotel specifically because of the early check-in option. I checked-in online the night before, confirmed my flight and when I would arrive, and when I arrived and asked to check-in early, per my reservation and check-in online, the front-desk worker acted as though there was no such information and said that he would make a request to expedite cleaning a room for me, but that he would need at least one hour. There was no acknowledgement that this was different from my reservation, and there was no apology. I was just directed to the lobby to wait until the room was clean. After a trans-Atlantic flight, when you've specifically selected a hotel for this early check-in service, this was very disappointing. I ended up only waiting about a half hour, but it left a very sour taste in my mouth. The room was made up as though more than two people were staying there, with the fold-out sofa made up like a bed, which meant that I couldn't use the sofa. The cleaning staff was next door so I asked them to make it back into a sofa, no big deal. The restaurant and room service are so incredibly expensive compared to EVERYWHERE else I dined in Italy, I kind of couldn't believe it, but the food was good and the room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The front-desk worker told me the hotel was fully booked, but it didn't feel like it. There is a pool, but it is mostly shaded, and the walls are very thin. I could hear children screaming/crying from the floor above me, but if it was truly fully-booked as I was told, I imagine it would be much louder. This hotel also advertises a free shuttle, but it only runs 2 times per day, so, not super convenient. I needed to go to the airport before it was running so I took a taxi, but it was $25 euro, and it's only 10 minutes away. It cost the same to go from the airport to downtown Florence, so, again, not what I imagined, but I suppose you just REALLY PAY for the convenience of being near the airport. Probably wouldn't recommend this place or stay again, but overall, it mostly met my needs.
