Rooms are old! Elevators are not in function, even when they are the function is out of the control. Breakfast: plates and glasses are dirty! Its not the standard of Novotel hotels.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Novotel in Florence. The free shuttle bus into the city and back was amazing and was one of the main reasons for us picking to stay. Breakfast was your classic American buffet style. Room was comfortable and customer service was exepctionally high, huge thank you to the female receptionist who booked us an extra night at a heavily discounted rate. Only downside to this hotel was the hours of the swimming pool, especially in summer when the days are long and hot and the pool closes at 8. Would have been great if it were open longer!

« Booked for a shuttle but it didn't run »

Booked this hotel as it offered a shuttle to the airport. Was told it doesn't run until 8am. So we had to book a taxi. Toilets off the bar were filthy. Floor was dirty with hair and toilet paper on it. Visited them at lunch and at dinner No change in this, hadn't been cleaned. Food at the bar is excellent. Bedroom very comfortable. On a Monday nothing is open so having a hotel with a good restaurant is great. Reception were very pleasant and helpful.

It’s a standard Novotel, beds comfortable and the hotel was expected was clean. The service at the reception was good and we found the parking below was fine. The service is the restaurant was terrible, the two waiters were running as there were only two and by 10h30 the restaurants was full. (It closes at 10h30) and we think the other staff had gone home and keft these two on their own. The two staff left in their own did a great a job - given this is an international brand of hotel the management should get this sorted out and seriously to close the restaurant at 10h30 in peak season is well short of ridiculous.

« One night stay with exorbitant taxi fare to airport €25 for 1.5km. »

Ruined by lack of shuttle to airport (out of hrs) and left with a €25 bill for 1.5km. I am not happy. I will not use this hotel ever again as the receptionist left me cold with her attitude of hard luck.

« Nice hotel, but far from the city centre »

The hotel was fine, and the rooms and the breakfast were good. The hotel has a free shuttle service to the city centre, which is great, but nevertheless the hotel is still rather far from there. We were there on a weekend , where the Ataf- busses apparently don’t run, so you have to use other means of transport.

This hotel is new with full amenities conveniently located near the airport. They offer a free shuttle several times per day into town at no cost with punctual service. Accommodation are new and comfortable for the price. I would definitely stay here again!

Everything in the hotel went as expected. It's not centrally located (definitely not a surprise), the nearby public transport easily removes this drawback. The hotel has a parking and garage. Breakfast was at Novotel level. The staff is extremely friendly and polite.

« Noisy room and no hot water in the shower »

Room was modern, beautiful and clean. This is a strong plus. Personnel was very competent and professional. Kudos. On the bad side, I was located at the 8th (and top) floor and there was a strong clanging noise probably due to a malfunctioning of the air conditioning system. I complained at the reception and the lady told me that it might have been some problem with the air conditioning. Knowing I stopped my conditioning and the noise was still there, I clearly understood the problem was probably known and it was a generic problem (on the roof?). The lady has checked if she could change my room but the hotel was fully booked. She offered to have the intervention of a technician but I am sure he could not solve the problem by himself in the same evening. I could sleep but the noise has been there all night and I was awaken at 5am due to it. Second complaint is on the shower. There was no hot water at 7am. I had to open the sink hot water to check it was there and wait 15 minutes before I could feel warm water under the shower. This is probably a similar problem that is felt at best at the top floors. I believe a Novotel structure cannot allow these kind of problems, in particular if they are already known. It is better not to sell those rooms before the problems are sold rather than leaving a bad experience to the customer.

the staff was not so friendly. maybe I am a Asian. when I presented to them my lecor platinum card it was not respected. I don't find it warming staying there .

« Disappointed by the 3 really poor incidents. »

I've stayed a numerous Ibis and Novotel brands. I've been to this Novotel about 4 years ago but because the customer insist on one of the Novotel or Ibis I really had no other option. This stay was probably the worst of the two experience. My food not once but twice in 2 different occasions that week went to a different table before it got to mine. The first night I was there another customer put his fork and knife into I complained and they gave me a new plate in about 2 minutes but it took over 20 minutes to cook my food so it wasn't new food just a new plate. On the last night of my stay I ordered the special, and I watched as my food first went to another table and the customer didn't even order yet and told them then it came to mine. The shuttle booking out out to central Florence was fine but I booked for a ride back at 6 pm and even arrived at 5:45 to make sure I didn't miss it.. The shuttle didn't come until 7 pm and that was cause someone else had a booking at 7 pm. Here's the thing, I went to the driver to check he gave me a big lecture about needing to book, and said there was no booking but there were clear room numbers scratched out and he even saw it and said he didn't scratch it out. At the hotel even on the desk booking they said nothing but it was clear something was whited out. The room cleaning staff was great, I've never had a problem with them, they are probably the saving grace from me giving the experience a far lower score. The first night experience was so bad on my second stay coupled with my first stay at the hotel 4 years ago, I decided to book out early and request our customer carry the rest of our engagement in Rome.

« Front desk staff fantastic good no AM shuttle to airport carpet was filthy and sink had rust stains »

The staff was fantastic, we stayed there to be close to the airport and utilize the advertised free shuttle. It did not start running untl 8 amwhich was too late for our flight. The carpet in our room was filthy and the sink had rust stains

« Clean, comfortable place to stay that is very close to the airport »

We had a good experience overall staying here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were given adjoining rooms as promised. The pool was a hit with the kids, although it was chilly. The restaurant food was not great, but that is probably to be expected in an airport hotel. I thought the price of the room could have been lower, but otherwise this was a very nice place to stay.
