No bell service upon arrival despite 2 empty luggage trolleys stationed on each side of the entrance. One of the 3 reception staff could have at least offered assistance however none did while I struggled with my four bags. Bathroom was not very clean upon check in with a few hair strands in tub, floor also a few stuck at the back of the door. Minibar had spilled milk coming from a slightly torn milk box left inside. Room make up on our second day was just the same. Not detailed. At the coffee house at breakfast, I did not feel welcomed with the way the Filipino staff questioned me with an unsure tone if our room came with breakfast and made us wait a bit while flipping through her checklist to verify on ‘both days’ while we noticed how she happily let the other guests proceed to walk in first then tick her list. If your staff is not trained well to serve all guests alike with the same SOPs, your staff comes across as racist. Our experience has left us with a bitter taste.

I stay weekly at Novotel Langley. For the last 3 stays I did not get my welcome drink. Last stay I went to order room service by phone and was told to use the QR code. Once I went thru the long winded process it wanted payment. You are already holding a deposit which is useless as there is nothing in the room to purchase.

I just wanted to say that the whole team at Novotel was amazing, from the front of house to the restaurants and the housekeeping team. Rachel from reservations and Julia from the front of house team really made my stay feel very relaxing and enjoyable.
