As I was arriving early (9.00am) I asked if my room could be ready. Great to see this happened. Nice clean room, great for working in. Very comfortable bed and choice of restaurants certainly helped. Highly recommended

Breakfast was good, room was alright, carpet in the hall was was lifting making a trip hazard

Upon first point of contact I was greeted by friendly staff who took my luggage. An easy efficient checkin followed. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at my room and had received an upgrade!! Thank you for the upgrade to the spa suite, though we didn't have an opportunity to use the spa as we arrived just in time to have dinner at Senses before going to a concert at Winthrop Hall at UWA that evening. We had to leave early on Sunday morning to return to our home in the wheatbelt. We did appreciate the additional space and the chance to see a lovely, albeit brief, view of the Swan River when we arrived shortly before sunset. A small niggle is that yet again there were out of date milk sachets in the fridge. Luckily, not all of the sachets were out of date so we were able to have a cup of tea on arrival and again before we left early the next morning. I threw the out of date sachets into the bin so the next guest would hopefully have fresh milk in the fridge. The other niggle was that the television couldn't be viewed from the bed which is the first time in all of our travels world wide where we have encountered this. The television only swivelled slightly, not enough to be viewed from the bed so it meant having to sit on the chairs in our PJs to watch the election results after our return to the hotel from the concert. We are returning to the hotel to stay overnight on May 30th because we are attending another concert and my husband will be staying alone overnight in June when attending a Samaritans training course. We like the online check in option. It is still disappointing that the old bathrooms still let down the overall experience of staying at the hotel. We have now been seeing the hotel's "we plan on upgrading the bathrooms" response for quite a while now but have never actually stayed in a room with an upgraded bathroom. The tired appearence, especially with the mouldy grout and cracked baths, really does devalue the otherwise normally good rooms.

However I am sorry that there were still issues found in the room such as the outdated milk sachets (that should never had happened and I have sent your feedback to the housekeeping team so they can make sure to always double check the date when servicing a room) and the position of the television from the room. Those are valuables feedback that can improve the services we provided and avoid making mistakes to all of our guests so I will make sure to pass them on to the appropriate management. In regards to having our bathrooms updated, it is still in our plans to have it done but at this stage do not have an exact date of when the refurbishments will start but it is in our main focus. Very comfortable, great location. Staff are a bit confused though - when checking in staff knew I had booked breakfast and also included free parking. On check out, a different person tried to charge me for it all! Something wrong with computer systems that needs adjusting. Very annoying

Stayed two nights for a work trip at the Novotel, first time staying there as I usually stay around Burswood whenever I am in Perth. Clean and tidy room and bathroom. Easy access to the CBD, short walk or drive. Reception staff are professional and welcoming. I like the fact that you need to insert your room key into a reader in the elevator to access your floor, definitely a plus for security. Free wi-fi, unlike the Novotel in Brisbane.
