During the refurbishment, Mercure and WMK Architecture collaborated to create a warm yet modern space filled with bright colour, which is both inviting and comfortable. The work of local artist Kelly Fielding was also incorporated into the room design, which includes her range of headboards designed to resemble the Brisbane River.

quiet and good location. 7-10min walk to CBD mall, casino. Good buffet breakfast. Clean hotel room, but wifi needs fixing as constantly had problems. Basic outdoor pool. 11 min walk to Roma st station and close to other bus stops.

We were very happy with our stay at The Mercure Brisbane. Staff were wonderful, friendly and very helpful from reception to cleaning and restaurants. Our room was extremely clean and had been partially refurbished. The location was perfect. Right in the CBD, on the river and within walking distance to so many sights and restaurants.

NIce atmosphere, clean and tidy room and friendly staffs. Breakfast was good. The location of the hotel is excellent. The parking in front of the reception is always full with some permanently parked car which I observed over my stay. It is inconvenient for us not able to park in arrival and departure time to load and unload luggage. However we enjoyed our stay .

Staff was friendly, views were amazing, rooms were clean however extra pillows in the cupboard would have been good. Location was perfect for us. Breakfast was good however coffee machine was broken and basic coffee was available and we were offered to have coffees made for us but at a cost. I feel if the machine was broken then coffees should have been included in the buffet cost. We also had dishes pile up on our table during breakfast. I feel there wasn’t enough staff through the service to allow proper cleaning, filling of items to be done during the breakfast. Regardless we enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again.

Mercure Brisbane is in an excellent location. The rooms are clean and we had a lovely river view

We enjoyed our stay and the rooms, while small, were clean with lovely river views. The location is excellent for getting to the city shopping areas, Southbank etc. Our only criticism is that when we were checked into the Hotel, we were advised we had free Internet but this was cut off during the evening of our last night so when we woke at 4am to prepare for our early morning flight we could not use the Internet. Also we booked as a family with my husband and I paying for the 2 other rooms and they were not given free internet access. This would be one of the few Hotels we have stayed in World wide of recent years who have not had free Internet access.

It was good. We arrived after mid night and rang the bell no one at the hotel to open the door. Luckily 2 guests returned so we followed them to get in. There were another couple also waited there before us for help. Anyway, we looked around and pushed the doors finally someone came out to help.

1. The Basin tap was leaking- had to put a towel. 2. Ordered Squid on the room service, I was given calamari without any explanation. 3. Dinner food was very poor- steak was burnt & didn't look like what was advertised inside the lift, few elements were missing compared to the photo. had to order veggies, which was again tasted blunt. 4. Parking was utterly expensive. All other hotels around that area have free parking. 5. The room was smelling paint. should not be given to guests if it was not properly ventilated. 6. The room was very dated, dark & light switches are all over the room. 7. The Pillows were very cheap quality. 8. Breakfast service is not up to the standard of the pricing charged. As a regular guest, I used to like the fresh juice machine, which was missing. 9. The Gym was really suffocating. When 4 persons use at the same time, it starts to smell sweat. proper ventilation required. 10. Shower area should be re-designed as water comes to the WC area & remains static until it is cleaned by room-service. This makes WC use a nightmare with water under the feet.

Fine. But $7.50 for a 750ml bottle of water is a disgrace. At a time when other hotel chains are doing a lot to reduce their plastic pollution foorprint, this kind of profiteering leaves a bad taste.

Generally satisfactory however room needs update.

Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Good location. Great price. Big disappointment was the room. No ceiling lights which made the room very dark especially at night. The dark carpet needs to be replaced. The double bed, the lounge sofa and the table are fairly low which possible would suit short people. The sole chair was metal and very uncomfortable and also short legs. In contrast the bathroom had great lighting but once again the bench was low. Shower recess needs the fixed glass panel to be longer as water seeps on bathroom floor.

Welcoming and helpful, as always. We always choose the Mercure on North Quay when visiting Brisbane overnight as it is so centrally placed, easy to access and the parking costs reasonable. We also love the river views!

Best view of the lighting up of the Victoria Bridge for German Reunification day.

First time at the hotel, it is clean and the staff are very friendly. The room, 1207, had a spectacular view of the river. Breakfast was nice but coffee could have been hotter. Also there was no dark, rye or whole grain bread. My sparkling wine did not arrive as requested, twice, however it did eventually come after a phone call to the desk. I tried to book Christmas day lunch, as I will be staying over Christmas however no one was able to assist with this. All in all a pleasant stay and I will be returning.

I stay here frequently as its located well for my job, on my recent stay i went down to the resturant for dinner. I was the first one in the rest, ordered my entree and main and waited with a drink. my entree was served in a timely manner and i htne waited for my main. during thsi time 6 other tables filled and orders palced. after 45 mins and seeing others receive their main meals i asked the waiter where my meal was. He hurried off to the kitchen and came back within 30 seconds with a meal placed it down and took off. I called him back and advised the meal was incorrect as i had ordered Rib eye not sirloin, he questioned if i was correct in my claim and i advised having been working in the meat industry for 40 years i know what a rib eye looks like. he apologised and returned to kitchen and came back with my actual order. on leaving the rest. i was offered a reduced coast for my dinner and drinks were removed. i advised thats not really much as i had 3 drinks whilst in the rest. 2 of which were my complimentary drinks. not a great experience given the frequency i use this establishment.

Relaxing, affordable with individualised service and always a kind smile and conversation from staff.

I have never received such great service as I did at this motel. It was almost like I was part of the family! Staff were happy to help, they were patient and Nothing was too hard or seemed like and inconvenience. The room was tidy and met all the preferences I put in through my Accor website log in (close to the lift, air con on etc.)
