Recently refurbished, guest rooms at Mercure Brisbane offer a range of accommodation options to suit all guest requirements, including Superior, Privilege and Deluxe options. During the refurbishment, Mercure and WMK Architecture collaborated to create awarm yet modern space filled with bright colour, which is both inviting and comfortable. The work of local artist Kelly Fielding was also incorporated into the room design, which includes her range of headboards designed to resemble the Brisbane River.

« check in and check out were good, room clean but at night there was no hot water had to shower in cold water »

at night there was no hot water so we had to shower in cold water which was not good, breakfast was good also the room service meal overall the stay was not as good as previous stays.

Great hotel and facilities, staff very friendly. Only feedback, my eggs for breakfast had a weird green blob on them so I didn't eat them, and there was no tomato sauce. Other than that fantastic!

The overnight stay was extremely comfortable and quiet. Clean room and very much appreciated after a long day/night. My only disappointment was the long check in time. Had checked in but needed to put stuff into storage to get out only within a 5-10min timeframe but to get out took over 15mins wait time.

Room was clean and tidy, air con was not up to standard, no main light in the room was a little annoying at night but nothing major. The Food / food service was rather terrible - one night it was 60 -90 minute wait for the food then it came up wrong and over cooked, took 20 minutes to even get on to the restaurant to let them know, then once I notified them it was another 30 minutes before the rectification happened. These are things that happen but the communication was sub par, if there were that busy they could of made me aware of this so i could of went somewhere else to eat.

We had air conditioning outage one night and power outage second night. I would have thought there might have been prior notice given about that as well as some compensation e.g. discount, breakfast ??

All good except my experience with parking. There was no where to park whilst checking in and the adjoining public car park has restrictive height limitations making it unsuitable to 4WDs. These limitations did not make it to me through the booking process managed my my administration assistant.

Everything except breakfast was very good. Most of the "hot" food was at best luke warm or cold. They said they had run out of butter, so only margarine was available, which is not our spread of choice. There were no "normal" tea bags at the counter and we had to wait while some were supplied. Breakfast has in the past been a highlight, this time it was not.

We stayed overnight prior to going on a cruise. Arrived late but had assistance from the reception desk to find a nice restaurant for dinner. We had a nice night sleep and enjoyed the gym facilities, pool and sauna in the morning before breakfast. There was a new worker on duty on Saturday morning and he was extremely helpful and polite to assist us printing bag tags, assisting our kids with water and also directions. Would certainly recommend and stay there again!

Overall, we were very happy with the stay. It was just for the night. But room was good, small but neat and nice view. Service was very good from the fellas down stairs and breakfast in the morning, really good.

On arrival at priority check was told make way down to car park area on getting through was told by attendant park was full and would have to make or way to Tank St car park. In arriving to room had found a large stain on the seate in our room, also there was only one bottle of complimentary water, we had also utilised the opportunity firva late check out to have a staff knock on door at approximately 1000 am to awake us o check on mini bar use.

« Hard to rate a positive experience when the room I was given (#417) was old, musty and dark with an stained furniture. »

Staff were pleasant but how the hotel obtained a 4 star rating with the room I was allocated is puzzling. I travel frequently and historically have stayed at Four Points and Stamford Plaza for similar pricing points in Brisbane. The room was very dated and possibly the darkest I have encountered. The furniture had visible stains and the carpets old and smelly. Room service meal was OK and promptly served but I have never been handed a tray in the room doorway in my life! Would have thought offering to place the tray on the table wouldn't have been too problematic. I also tried to access the paid internet service but it dropped out continually and was very slow. Had I been staying more than one night I would have most definitely requested an alternate room and if not an improvement would have probably moved hotels. Please note I am not a perennial complaint maker but you have requested this feedback and as someone who spends 100+ nights in hotels each year think it's important for you to get some honest feedback.

The room was good and I was happy with the stay. However, there was a downside that I was really disappointed about being the car parking situation. I specifically checked to ensure there would be parking available and expected the fee. However I was not told the parking was operated separately from the hotel, and so the hotel staff did not know there was a lower than usual height restriction of 1.8m. My car was slightly higher than this and so I had to come back into reception to obtain details of another car park, then I had to drive over (around the block) to Tank Street, and then walk to the hotel room (so then at the end of the stay had to walk my belongings around the block after check out). I found this really inconvenient at the end of a long day. Could I suggest that you please put more information on your website and in the booking information about parking arrangements.
