Recently refurbished, guest rooms at Mercure Brisbane offer a range of accommodation options to suit all guest requirements, including Superior, Privilege and Deluxe options. During the refurbishment, Mercure and WMK Architecture collaborated to create awarm yet modern space filled with bright colour, which is both inviting and comfortable. The work of local artist Kelly Fielding was also incorporated into the room design, which includes her range of headboards designed to resemble the Brisbane River.

Nicely renovated rooms. Elevator except to the basement carpark. Booked and paid for a carpark but it would have been more helpful if we were advised to leave our bags in the lobby before parking our car and having to carry/roll them up big slopes.

I usually transit in Brisbane never stepped foot outside the airport. My recent five day trip at the Mecure (North Quay) was home away from home! I love the atmosphere, the genuine friendly accommodating staff and the hotel room was marvelous, overlooking the riverside. I did not expect $170/night would provide me so much more than I expected. Hello I wonder if you can help me. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I need to cancel two nights’ accommodation at your hotel, as my plans have changed. I was supposed to stay on 16th -19th of November but due to unforeseen circumstances, I have to return to Melbourne on the 17th of November, two days early. I understand that this is inconvenient for everyone but if we can’t get a refund, then could we get a hotel credit. On August 15th I stayed at your hotel and found it excellent, great location and great service. So much so that last week, I took a team of 10 from Kmart over two nights October 2-4th to stay at your hotel. Next week I have a team of 4 staying on 17th and my colleague and I was due to stay on the 16-19th I can now only stay on the 16th. Our agent contacted the hotel and has been told, that it is too late to cancel my two nights and that we cannot get a credit. Not very understanding. I would like to request a hotel credit, I know that other Accord hotels do this, a colleague of mine recently got one from the Novotel on the Gold Coast for similar reasons. My teams travel a lot and I had thought we had found a great business hotel in Brisbane. There are lots of choices but had liked yours. Please could you reconsider my request, as I look forward to us continuing our business in the future. Check in was very quick as I am a member of Accor Hotels and I was able to check in online. Everything was explained upon arrival. We also received complimentary drinks which was good and the rooms was very clean and spacious. Loved the breakfast that was available in the morning. The swimming pool could have been heated and car parking for guest should have been free. But overall experience was great.

My room was all I expected, wonderful views, good location. Handy to everything. Very clean & well presented. Breakfast good, excellent coffee. Dinner in dining room somewhat disappointing. When it finally arrived though the meal was exceptional-absolutely first class, problem was the service was slow, almost non existent. Shame as food was wonderful.

I was in Brisbane on September 22-28 to participate in a big joint conference of Asia-Pacific EPR/ESR Society and The International EPR (ESR) Society (IES) held at the University of Queensland’s St. Lucia campus on Sept 23 – 27 September. The hotel was one of the accommodation sites suggested by the conference. I landed in Brisbane at 5:30 am, arrived at Mercure Brisbane at 7 am. No problem with early check in. Hotel is close to the Roma train station, major bus hubs and and City Cat docking, which I used to commute to the university. All attractions of the South Bank and the Botanical Garden are in easy pedestrian access. The view from my 8 floor window was fantastic, the restaurant food (including the buffet breakfast) was excellent, the personnel was friendly and helpful, the gym and pool facilities were adequate. The room was quiet and kept clean. I can call my stay in Mercure Brisbane very satisfactory.

Our initial welcome by Hazel was wonderful. She assisted us with parking for our extra tall vehicle and made us feel very welcome. Sadly this is where it ended. Our room looked directly over a tin roof that housed the air on outlets, meaning it was extremely noisy. Plus I had booked for 2 adults and 2 children and received 2 double by beds. There were also only 2 towels provided, which were the worst towels I have ever experienced in a hotel. They were stiff and like cardboard. The ones at my cheap and cheerful Coffs Harbour motel were far superior. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory with the food barely warm. Then when I asked for directions at front desk to the Botanic Gardens I was given a fairly lack luster suggestion of just walking down the street parallel with the hotel, rather than the scenic river walk. No other suggestions of what might interest either. Overall not an overly great stay. To add insult to injury there was a deal advertised on Sunrise the next day for a river view room at your exact hotel for the same rate.

We always love coming to stay, but reminded ourselves after another disappointing breakfast, that the hot breakfast items are always, at best, lukewarm. We should't complain as we only paid $2 for the breakfast, but the people who paid more wold be sorely disappointed.
