We had an excellent 2 night stay at the Novotel Brisbane. The staff were really attentive. The breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. Because i am an Accor member, we were given room upgrades and free parking and internet. Thank you Novotel Brisbane.

The receptionist was delightful and this set the tone for our stay. The hotel is well maintained, clean, bright and airy. All staff we had contact with were great.

nice experience, but didn't like the digital system trying to find out what the menu was or bar menu. menu for the food, was very expensive and having a service charge was a rip off, service charge should be free, esp when this hotel is 4.5 star, ashame there is away a price to paid Control in the room was not very good, plus when two are staying in the room, not enough bathroom supplies

« A Night At The Novotel. »

All good. Some suggested points for improvement. 1. Complementary tooth brushes. I forget mine and had to sleep with unwashed teeth. 2. Normally I enjoy tomato juice as a morning tonic but the Novotel tomato juice is watered down so much it is not worth drinking. 3. There was a lack of seating at breakfast while an adjoining section with plenty of seating was made unavailable. 4. The coffee was rather ordinary with only white sugar supplied. I enjoy raw sugar in small quantity and hate adding white. Its a minor detail but it makes a big difference to me. 4. This was a complentary night's stay yet parking wasn't included. Why not include it in the package if its available. It's the friendly thing to do if the stay is complementary and it would cost Novotel nothing to do so. 5. The serving spoon cradles were full of food and needed a tidy up. 6. I avoid halal products as do many other people I know. I would suggest Novotel remove religious & ideology from the dining area & public display as it offensive. If diners have special requirements they can ask the staff. Why involve other guests with the needs and ideals of minority groups which many find distasteful or disturbing.

As this is my second time using my free night in Australian hotels, I feel a little bit overwhelmed with the reception. All I got was our key card nothing else. No letter of welcome as the other hotel we stayed last year. No explanation telling us what time was the check out time. Making us feel welcome. It would be nice to be treated like a very important customer. A smile on their faces when they see clients. The Pantry where we had our breakfast were friendly and accommodating.

« Nice Rooms, simple check in and out, but service TV's in both rooms and no answer when we dialled reception left a bit to be desired. »

It was the slow service in the restaurant that first grabbed our attention wit the meal ordered and no attempt to take a drink order until I asked. There was an issue with both TV's and our staff member had reported before going for drinks and dinner only to return to find no response. Similarly when we returned to our room there was a similar issue and we dialled reception to have it ring out. A bit poor!

Feels nice and clean and everyone is very helpful and friendly The pool was nice this time. I have stayed before and the pool was literally freezing. To cold to swim. A spa would be really nice.

« Good but terrible beds »

Overall we were happy with our stay, we liked the size of the pool as it was great for our daughter to play in, not just designed for laps. We had room service breakfast which was prompt and warm. The room was clean but the beds were a major let down. We had a double double room, my husband and I couldn’t sleep in the same bed as the bed was so unsupportive we rolled to the middle. I shared with our daughter to avoid this but still woke stiff and sore from the unsupportiveness of the beds. We really like everything else about the hotel but this needs addressing. I’m not sure if we just had a particularly bad bed or if this is a common issue.

I upgraded room to premiere as it was a special occasion for me and my husband. I have stayed at Novotel many times and usually the service is good, this time I felt like a number. First time no welcome note on bed or t.v. And I arranged sparkling wine which wasn't there I had to ask for it. wasnt the best stay I have had there.
