From the friendly check in, good sized room with natural light, nespresso machine, comfortable bed, umbrellas for the wet evening the stay again at Novotel Brisbane was a delight. And after discovering I had left my suit jacket behind, was pleased when it arrived a few days later express post to my office.

Situated at the top end of town above Central Station, a convenient location if visiting the Brisbane CBD. Whilst the views are cityscapes rather than the Brisbane River, it is good value for money with excellent service. It is also a good base for meeting people who are in the CBD: a good coffee shop / bar and restaurant, with other cafes near by.

Great service at the front desk allowed an early check-in. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about things to do and see. Disappointed with hotel policy for WiFi and local calls. Out of the 4 different hotels we stayed at during our vacation, this was the only one that charged extra.

« Everything that we needed »

Our stay was only brief, and it was the first time at your hotel. We initially booked for a business seminar however the seminar then moved locations...not to worry. We loved the spacious room and balcony, the staff were friendly and professional and the bar and restaurant services were as we would have expected. We will definitely be back.

« Quick one night stay »

I cannot fault the staff at all, they were all so friendly and so helpful. We only stayed one night so it is really hard to say what the rest of the Hotel and facilities are like. I felt as though it was just little bit to far from other restaurant's etc, but in saying that we don't mind walking. We stayed in a studio room which was a good size but had no balcony or view, which we do prefer. The beds were very comfortable and we both had a great night sleep. But when we arrived back at the hotel that night and I used the toilets down stairs there was vomit in the sink, this was really horrible and not something I thought I would come across at a hotel.

« Comfortable venue let down by terrible WiFi and chaotic service »

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly but I was there on a business trip and the hotel WiFi is amongst the poorest I have encountered. All the members of our group found this and as an international traveller, it became necessary to buy an Australasian SIM and use a personal hotspot via the phone. Downloading presentations from Drop Box was otherwise impossible with regular drop-outs of WiFi and very slow speeds. The conference venue is good but meeting rooms are spread over two floors with no stairwell access between them (alarmed fire-escape use only) and you can wait up to 4 minutes for an elevator only to find it is full. Moving delegates between floors was troublesome. The restaurant was equally chaotic - it took over 40 mins for our food to appear during a faculty dinner and the kitchen team had forgotten my salad that arrived after the others were over half-way through their already delayed meals. I'm afraid we'll be taking our biennial meeting elsewhere in 2021.

Disappointed that when eating at the hotel it was not added to the company bill. I had to pay and get reimbursed. Previous stays breakfast was included for Genesis staff as your hotel is a preferred hotel. So have booked elsewhere for the next meeting

« Well situated hotel. Older style but good accomodation. »

Reception staff were welcoming. Room was clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom was functional and clean. Breakfast selection was good with an extensive gluten free area but more staff need to be available to clear tables and resupply tea/coffee area. Location and proximity to Central station was very convenient. Pending charge for parking (that we had not requested) was removed as soon as we brought it to the attention of reception staff. Overall, happy with Novotel and would stay there again.

Rooms were clean and food was very good, disappointed in a couple of things - the mini bar was completely empty. There appeared to be some sort of drinks function put on for Accor Plus members but when I checked in I was not advised. The barman at the time had no idea what it was for. Just seemed a bit odd that you wouldn't publicise this to Accor Plus members

These do run each Wednesday between 530-630, hopefully on your next stay we'll be able to have a welcome drink together. The rooms seem a little old. Grout on tiles need to be cleaned. I found stains on the doona that wasn't even in a quilt cover. I asked for extra pillows at the front desk. Noone showed up, I revived a pillow on the send request. The pillow slip was old, and the cotton was Pilling. I attended and even on the rooftop, and we had hired the room next door. The aircon was poor, even after we kept all the doors and windows closed. The buffet breakfast was great. The coffee I purchased from the bar was lovely.
