Perfect as an overnight stay. Would have been good to know how the valet parking works. I phoned but no reply and drove around the block a few times before stopping at a loading zone and asking at reception. It would have been appreciated if luggage could have been attended to by staff on arrival and departure.

Staff nice, originally we were allocated a room without a good view to see the Pacific Jewel arrive, I had paid $360 for an ocean view room and discussed that requirement at the time of booking, however after talking to reception, we were changed to the 12th floor and had an adequate view of the ship arrive. The beds were extremely luxurious and comfortable, and an absolute dream to sleep in.

« The best appointed Accor hotel I have been to, very slick »

Checking was great, appreciated the upgrade, room was really luxurious and the little touches were awesome. Only draw back was the aircon was not working well so it was hot notwithstanding it was set on 16 by the previous occupant. As feedback, there were two things that may assist but neither are issues. I purchased a special through the accor app with a breakfast special. It may be good to remind your guests of what they actually have purchased.

As above, everything was good however unfortunately I left my toiletry bag in the bathroom which contained a number of personal medications etc. When I phoned the hotel the next day they could not locate it. Obviously it must have been taken by someone. Not what i would have expected from Grand Mercure staff

Everything about my stay was wonderful - from the concierge who first greeted me, the smiley valet who parked my car, the check in staff and process. The room was top quality, beautifully furnished and clean. The breakfast was amazing, expecially the resturant being located on the 13th floor with lovely views. Would definitely recommend.

The room was clean and tidy. The Decor nice - however could do with a touch up with missing pinstriping noticeable (obviously this is not a bad thing - but if you are going to have pattern keep it maintained) The aircon was great, but took a bit to decipher the buttons, a small laminated instruction diagram next to it would have been ideal. We were in room 1212 and with the restaurant above us and the moving and dragging of tables was very noisy for us. Very disappointed in the restaurant and it's processes. We booked at 4pm for dinner through the reservation phone number for dinner the same night for 8pm. We made ourselves to the restaurant to be told that our reservation was not there and that we would have to wait half an hour for a table. I said that it was not my error to have to wait for a table I had booked. So the guy said we could have a small table right at the front of the restaurant. We said yes, as a table is a table at the end of the day. We then had to wait a further 10 mins before we were even attend to for a drinks request. Turns out he wanted to take out dinner order as well. Then to be told that the 2 things I was to order on the menu were not available. Options for non seafood eaters is small. We left as we were disappointed in the overall experience this created. We used the valet service, as we had a car. we were told to ring 10 mins prior to wanting to collect the car, so that the car could be brought to us. We phoned for over a period of 20 mins numerous times with no answer. So that when we booked out we had to wait further for the 1 concierge person to collect cars before ours. Suggestion: have more that 1 concierge for the checkout rush between 8.00 am and 11 am. And have a dedicated person rather than relying on the 2 reception people to answer the calls for the valet service. I paid good money to stay at this hotel and was looking for a great weekend away., the restaurant fiaso and the valet service that I paid for was not on par for what I would expect from a 4 star Hotel.

I totally understand your frustration regarding the valet parking, we do ask our guests to give us a notice of 10 15 minutes for the car to be brought down from the valet parking. That particularly morning we experienced a large amount of requests at the same time from our guests, and I would like to ensure you that we had a full team on duty, again I do apologize for the inconvenience caused.I have passed your concerns as well to the Front Office Manager, please be rest assured that as team we will work together to prevent similar occurrence and use your feedback for coaching moments. There were shortcoming during your stay, for which I would apologize again and which I can guarantee would not be present on a return visit.
