We planned a brief one night stopover but had to stay for a few more days, of which we made the most. Best thing about the hotel was the very friendly and helpful staff, who could not do enough for us, food in the bar/restaurant was surprisingly good too. The hotel is in a very convenient but not very attractive position, car park a definite plus once we got there! The place generally lacks any sort of atmosphere and, being between two very busy roads, can be very noisy and quite smelly (vehicle fumes). That would have been OK if the air condition had been working, as we anticipated, but it was not! It also was far too hot at night in particular.

« Decent Stay »

Decent Stay - nice clean room and friendly staff. I haven't seen such an antiquated key card system in about 20 years though. Not easy to use or carry. Hotel is easy access via bus or subway but not to walk.

« Good rooms but long queues for breakfast »

The room was good, very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the not much noise (the extra door helped). The bathroom had a good size however the hair dryer was useless. SO dated and not enough air/low temperature. The breakfast has some issues: - finishing it at 9am/9.30am is not good at all. When on holidays some people like some extra time in bed. - we had to wait 15-20min in a queue to enter the restaurant - once in, there was no food left, and it was taking a long time to be replaced - they gave me one set of cutlery and there I couldn't get extras. Not even napkings.

After arriving from airport we found we had left walking sticks outside airport. Staff at hotel found them and had them brought to hotel. Could not have been more helpful. Great hotel.wu

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a bus close to the hotel in to Genova and enjoyed our visit to this interesting city. There is a large choice of restaurants and bars to be found within the old city.

Very pleasant stay. Great view We really liked the breakfast and the possibility to walk downtown. Maybe they should remove the tag on the stairs "for emergency only" since it is very convenient to take the stairs.

« right hotel in the right place »

in general i was satisfied, the room was OK, the bed is comfortable, the breakfast is good, services worked well. However, there was something what I did not understand last time: to show the credit card used for the payment. I use a credit card for internet payments which exists only like the money in a bank account: virtually. It does not exist in physical form consequently I cannot give it to you. So if you hold to this requirement I will be compelled to choose other hotel.

The facilities and staffs were nice. Parking is safe for long time parking. Metro is 15 min. walking distance. The traffic sign to the Highway was not clear, be careful!

no particular problem nor incomfort, but not felt welcome, room quite basic for a 4 stars, restaurant waiters very rude, welcome drink unsatisfying, no water offered, bottled water required ...

« Stop over »

Travelling though and needing a hotel for the night, this hotel fitted the bill. Room was large and convenient with a small child. Resturant on site was good, but food choice a little restrictive. Parking badly signposted and we have to park on the pavement with hazards on until we eent in to reception. Breakfasr had a great selection, but was busy. Computer games in reception for the kids eas a nice touch.

« Do not even think about staying here »

We were dropped at the hotel by taxi, no assistance with bags or door. Entering the lobby a bad odor was evident which really should have been enough to make us turn around and leave at that point! However as we had prepaid we decided to carry on and checked in. There was no offer of assistance to get our bags to the room just direction to the lift bank, The room had been set up for a family of four rather than just us. The corridors had a chemical cleaning smell and the room was old and tired. The location is adjacent to a busy highway and not near to the centre. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL IF A HOLIDAY TOURIST. We departed after one hour and enjoyed a stay in the NH Collection Genova Marina............but almost anywhere would have been better!
