The hotel room and facilities are good but the room air conditioning does not work. We have to open the window at night but it is very noisy because the hotel is at the main highway junction. The car park is a bit tricky on entry.

The hotel location is not ideal if you use public transport. The feel of the place was more like a big Ibis hotel rather than Novotel. Staff were often not at their posts. No BAD experience, but not usual Novotel quality in my experience.

Just visited Novotel Genova City. The hotel is nice, welcoming and clean. Booked twin room expecting two beds although one double bed and one double sofa bed, one side of mattress sagged and happened to be the side you got into which proved difficult and uncomfortable. No local information in the room for example local shopping areas, restaurants, bars, places to visit. Only found area with shops, bars and restaurant when taxi drove us to airport!

I was lost coming into Genova for the first time at night. In the sky was the welcoming sign of Novotel! I was greeted by Laura in English & given a lovely room on the 5th Floor, looking out over the city. In the morning was the Med. I had a delicious Caesar salad & in the morning a dazzling breakfast. I was helped with my business & stayed another night to savor the hotel & restaurant again. And the total cost was very reasonable. Tanto grazie, Laura & Novotel Genova!

It was a convenient extension to our holiday after disembarking our cruise. Allowing us to discover Genoa and making our journey home more relaxed. The hotel was of a high standard offering us everything we required plus was a short bus/metro hop to the city centre.

Found the front desk staff all very good especially Simona and her front office manager, both extremely helpful and knowledgable. Housekeeping in the room was a hit hit and miss, not consistent. Had to regularly request service and extra supplies. Saying this though all requests were dealt with quickly and promptly and politely. Bathroom had a couple of maintenance issues including the shower head which couldn’t be fixed.

The rooms were dated and needed a good clean. There was an exposed light bulb in the room. One lift for a large hotel not good enough.

I received text notification that our room was ready and so we headed for the hotel. On arriving we discovered that we were clashing with coachloads of guests checking in. The queue was out of the front door. As I am disabled standing is a challenge so we thought having lunch while the queue reduced would be a good idea. Unfortunately the restaurant was expecting 100+ people for lunch so we were offered a table in the bar and a buffet lunch. The buffet was descended on by another large group of visitors who seemed incapable of noticing my walking stick in their desperation for food. Having checked in on line I did not expect that it would take 15 minutes to check me in and give me my key. The room was acceptable. The bath had a few idiosyncrasies with the plug mechanism not working properly but was usable. The housekeeping team is very keen. I have never had so many towels provided or changed despite the "do not disturb" sign being on the door.

We had only a short stay but we were greeted by all the staff with pleasant smiles and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was good and we would have liked to stay longer but we had to start our cruise the next morning.
