Very good position to visit beauties of Liguria. Breakfast fine - healthy and various; Rooms - good conditions, especially beds; WiFi - one password everywhere, but low speed; Check-in/check-out - fast and helpful; Parking - private and safety, but 14,50 Euro/night.

« Great Genoa »

An excellent location, a short bus ride from the city. The hotel staff were most helpful. An enjoyable evening meal and very good breakfast. Secure parking and a comfortable room.We had stayed here 10 years ago and it was as good as we had remembered.Last time we had a fantastic view of the harHour and city. We plan to return.

« Friendly staff, good sized room - shame the pool wasn't open! »

Stayed for three night in May with my partner and 2 children aged 8 & 4 years. We stayed in a family room on the ninth floor. Check-in and check out processes were both very quick. The hotel does have a luggage room if you arrive early. The dining room is a good sized, we payed for breakfast inclusive which was buffet style - there was a good selection of food on offer, all very fresh and constantly replenished by staff. The room itself was a fair size, in general the room was well equipped and clean. There is a small minibar/fridge but this is over priced, we emptied this out and put our own drinks etc in. The plug on our bath was unfortunately broken and our four year old managed to find what appeared to be an old 'snack cheese' whilst playing under the bed on our last morning! On arrival we were told the pool wasn't open as it was too cold....the children were very disappointed by this as it had been the main reason for booking this particular hotel. Reception staff were very friendly and were able to help with queries. They were also able to call us an airport taxi which took approx. five minutes to arrive. These cannot be pre-booked.

Nice stay in this hotel. Repeption team is very nice and tries to help as much as possible. The bed has been renewed during my stay and it was very comfortable. The bus line 1 goes directly to the city center... very convenient !

old novotel hotel with old style ooms... also not a good location for holiday and far away from interesting place, better choose another hotel. friendly reception for check in and check out and helpful.

The location is good to reach the city center. It is a comfortable hotel with good facilities. I suugest esprcially families with kids. Personnel are polite and smiling. Rooms are clean and view is nice.

« Nice hotel near the harbor »

This hotel is conveniently located near the harbor and it is quite easy to access if you come by car. The hotel has a nice garage in the basement, which is a good option in Genova. It is a bit expensive though. If you have plans exploring Genova by foot, you may find the hotel a bit far from them main center in Genova. The hotel has large rooms but they are not among the most modern room. If you are travelling with kids they have a good option of connecting rooms. However, one of the rooms was intended disabled people, and if you dislike such a room, you should probably ask and inform the hotel in advance if this is not desired. The hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool - a little deep though for small children. The breakfast service could be improved. There are a large varieties of different foods but a lot were missing during the breakfast including forks, knives, plates etc. The varieties of bread could also be improved. It looked like that the staff were too limited at the days of our visit to handle the breakfast.

We went to Genova for one day to see aquarium. The hotel is far away from aquarium but there's bus station nearby and subway station little bit further. The hotel itself needs a little bit of renovation (especially carpets) but it was clean. There's a big Coop store nearby (if you thinking about buying some italian delicacy for you)

« Nice Comfy Stay »

If you want a nice, comfortable, no frills and peaceful stay in the city of Genova, this is the place to go. The place is centrally located near the old and the new port and walking distance from Genova Principe station as well. Most of the places to visit are also nearby. All in all a nice property !!!

The Stay in Genova is richer when staying at NOVOTEL. The hotel structure is great and the Attendance is very special and dedicated. There is a special destac for Fabrizio that did a great job in the reception, during all my stay.

« Good hotel! »

The shower was very slow to heat the water! Nespresso machine was not working. Elevators need an inspection, because they were always not working properly. But the room was spacious and the breakfast was ok!

Stayed in the Novotel Genova City in connection with the Salone Nautico. Hotel is a typical Novotel, staff is very friendly, rooms typical Novotel with the typical hard bed. Rooms have a good sound isolation from the heavy traffic around the hotel. Restaurant could do with improvement of noise reduction and a different plan to keep it tidy at peak breakfast hours. Compared to last year, then it seems like there is a positive change in attitude.

We checked in 11.30pm at night and found room provided was disabled facilities room. Toilet was too high for my 5 year old daughter and also no shower screen for bath. Air conditioning was not on and i thought it was not working but staff did not bother to come up to check. They changed our room and we had to moved our luggage ourselves and our sleeping children. I am a silver member and usually at other novotels we are offered 1 drink each but here was only 1 drink for accor member.The manager offered us a drink each after we complained of the inconvenience and poor service. Rooms were also old and tired.

« Far away from Novotel 4* standard , perfect service delivered by staff. »

I've slept there 10 night's with friends and family , globally I've been disappointed with standart this hotel offers. Breakfast I would choose in the city instead of wasting time in queue waiting for breakfast in ibis budget standard. Child corner is available, but it had it good times long time ago. Formally there is nothing to complain , everything was delivered but I didn't felt there like in 4* Novotel. I have platinum status in their loyalty program a-club .... I haven't felt benefits coming from this status as well except fact that I could use my late check out ( on demand ). Location of hotel is good ( compromise between price and distance from city ) not so far away subway is available but work only till 9:00 PM , if you would like to get back later it's possible with not so expensive taxi ( around 14 euro from city center ). If I would come back to this hotel it would be only due to fantastic staff they have :)

Rundown property in an unexciting part of town. Old carpets wiith stains everywhere, swimming pool was tiny & full of kids (maybe since it was Sunday). No recognition of Gold status here. Did not even get a welcome drink which is listed as a benefit on the Accor website. Rude staff was very confident in suggesting that the many other Novotel's I have stayed in so far have made a mistake in giving me a free drink! Worst of all was my room door not locking. I noticed this on my 1st night but realised you had to open the door all the way & then make sure it SLAMS shut. I thought housekeeping staff will be aware of this. Wrong - on my 2nd night I returned in the evening to find my door was not locked. Thankfully nothing was stolen from my room! Finally, upon check-out they tried to charge me for some things from Mini-bar that I had not taken. The only positive of my stay was the excellent air conditioning which was a welcome relief from the summer heat.

« A little bit tired »

Good location, two kilometers from the port, esy to access with the car. Nice people at the reception. Needs a refurbish! Small pool, not so clean. Everything else was OK, except one incident. One day, the maid cleaned the room and forgot to refill with shampoo, soap, etc., but when I spoke to the reception they solved the problem instantly.

« Not the best Novotel »

Cleaning was defently not the best. Even though we remembered to tip housekeeping 5eruro for one night they forgot towels, soap, cleaning etc. Service was italan slow, meaning you have to wait till they want to Work! Normal "Novotel" service we have tried in spain, Portugal, germany and others had a lot better standard!

very helpful staff, family room clean and ok albeit a hungry mosquito on the 8th floor..., missing slippers, great buffet breakfast, good bus connections although too far from the city centre to wak-lk back at night (not great neighbourhood at night). easy to get by to visit Genova and Liguria.

« Very nice hotel »

Nice hotel exterior and public space. Very nice and helpful reception Staff. Room was bit old, but very quiet and well isolated (hotel is located between two roads). Bathroom is in a need of renovation. No free water in the room. Very good breakfast with a lot of choice

The hotel is dirty. The parking is terribly small and narrow. Staff not well prepaired to service. During breakfast no clean table available. The food is terrible. Baby chair was so dirty that we did not used it. Before 10 am they closing the buffet! I have to Ask for the welcome drink...i will never use this hotel. Stay away from it,
