I booked family room because plan was to travel with group of friends. The “Christmas” deal was non-refundable but the price was very affordable. The family room is big enough for 4 adult persons, but there are no enough closet-space. No hanger at entrance corridor (for the winter jackets or coats). Accommodation is very basic and on the edge of 3 stars. Beds are comfortable and big enough bur bathroom is very poor and not clean as one would expect. Basic selection of TV channel on English and German. Breakfast area large enough but through the whole space of the hotel one can smell some not so pleasant scent. Basic breakfast, not very large selection of food, nothing special to recommend. Very helpful staff. Quick check in and out. Big parking-space in front of the hotel. It is public (city) parking but free of charge during the week-end. Public transportation in front of the hotel but the whole neighbouring area is very uninviting. Easy access both my metro/replacement bus and by car. Big shopping-centre near the hotel.

The hotel is located near public transport facilities, has friendly reception desk stuff, common but expensive breakfast, unfortunately it's visible that it's an old building and needs to be total refurbished, especially in the rooms. Personally I didn't like the cold air in the room, the rust and lack of cleaning in the bathroom. For the next visit in Budapest I will definitely search some other hotels.

Staff of the hotel was hit and miss. The cleaning ladies and their service was excellent, the girls at the reception were very nice, however there were 2 boys there that did not seem to be very in tune with the concept of customer service. The staff for the breakfast was nice, greeting people and explaining the options for eating and drinking: very welcoming. I have to say that I do not understand the lack of a power outlet next to one of the beds.. All in all our stay was ok, although quite a basic arrangement, I do appreciate how clean and tidy it was.

« Everything you need »

I'm used to book this hotel when I'm in Budapest. They have nice room, there is always a parking place in front and , moreover , they have a good restaurant with many options on the menu. The staf is very kind. In my opinion there is only a negative thing: the floor in the room is too old and the bathroom needs a renovation.

« Wonderful stay at a great hotel »

Really enjoyable stay at a good hotel right next to a Metro station that takes you into the centre of Budapest in about 15mins. Staff were wonderful including the lovely girl on reception at check-in who was really friendly and helpful and even up graded my room to a family apartment on the top floor! Room was great and large and the balcony with view over the gardens was wonderful.

1.Breakfast was not so tasty and its repeat every morning 2.AC is switched off without notice and there is no window to open. it was very suffocating in the night. If we open the balcony boor, it was noisy and dusty. 3.Front desk was amazing, helpful. 4.check in and out was smooth.

I have stayed at IBIS AERO many years ago, and then I found it excellent. This time I spent 2 weeks there and I was rather unhappy that the room had no refrigerator, no coffee/tea making facility, no free local telephone calls. They tried to charge 6,000 HUF = $30 = 20€ for 3 local phone call. They only changed bedlinen twice in 2 weeks. The cleaning stuff came into my room 3 times without knocking, which I found most disturbing. Before that I stayed at the Leonardo Hotel Budapest for a week and for the same money they have given me an excellent service. I will never stay with IBIS again.

I would like to kindly inform you that in ibis hotels the refrigirator , the tea and coffee maker is not part of the standard. In case of client request we provide our clients. Please also note thet the usage of telephone is not free of charge. Since you raised the issue that sometimes you had an experience that the maid forgot to knock on the door, I have informed the housekeeping manager to do an extra training for maids to knock louder before get into the room. Despite of a very early booking in 2 months and e-mail communication with Ms Zsuzsanna HORVATH my check-in was the longest I have ever experienced. It took too long for a front-desk manager to find out how use my rewarding points. The bathroom was full of hair after shaving. I am happy that was only one night.
