« Another Very Good Stop Over »

A welcoming smile the time I entered the door to the time I left the next morning. The room was excellent and the evening dinner was very good as always. You will have nothing to complain about when visiting this hotel.

« Good location to the port of Caen 30 minutes. »

Warm and comfortable, welcoming staff pleasant bar and restaurant lovely food. Ideal if traveling up through France to Caen for the morning boat, or staying overnight to travel down the next day. Will be going again. Nigel and Ghislaine

« Another good overnight stay »

The overnight stay was predictably good and the reason why we have stayed in the same hotel every time we travel to SW France. The breakfast is equally good and we set off well rested and well fed. However, this is not an 'eco hotel' as they insist on heating the water in the shower to an unreasonably hot temperature. Unaccompanied children would be at risk with water at this I have said too many times.

« Straightforward »

Does what it says it does. Good accommodation. Decent breakfast. Efficient staff. Comfortable bed, good shower. Just right for a short stay in route. Not far from ferry and avoids Caen in the morning for a journey South. Stayed there 30 times or more so there cannot be much wrong.

« Comfortable & Practical Hotel »

I mostly come here for business and it has all of the desired attributes: Comfortable Practical (good WiFi & 4G coverage, electrical sockets throughout the room and next to bed, ...) Restaurant with local cuisine and wine by the glass Very good breakfast with good coffee and wide range of choices Free parking

« October visit to our house in the Dordogne »

Predictably very good but two points stand out. 1. There were no boiled eggs for breakfast. A sad loss of a valued part of the stay. 2. The hot water in the bathroom was far too hot....close to boiling. Provide boiling water for the eggs and less warm water in the bathroom!

« Pleasant stay - good overnight stop »

A pleasant one night stay to break a long journey South. Good points - breakfast included in price with reasonable choice and a wide time window in which to take it. Room on the small side but the real negative was a lack of kettle in the bedroom

« A Secret Delight »

Do yourself a favour and discover Falaise, an unspoit part of Normandy, and home of William the Conqueror. Brits now allowed to visit, but 1000 years ago another matter! This well-run hotel enables you to explore the town and William's castle with a splendid mounted statue. An hour's drive from Ouistreham car ferry.

« Overnight stopover »

We stayed here overnight on our way to the Lot region. We had a very nice meal here in the evening. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was hectic as there was a coach full of people and it was hard to find a table.

« Good value »

We stayed one night at the Ibis Falaise Coeur de Normandie. It was a great value for the price. The hotel is just outside of town. In fact, we had a view of the castle from our room!! It is an easy drive into town to all the sites. Falaise is a charming town -- much more than the chateau.

« Another great ibis »

We have always enjoyed the Ibis at Falaise. This time it had been completely refurbished, everything was perfect. The meals were excellent and the service from the staff was the usual high standard.we thoroughly recommend this hotel. We are big fans of the constant improvements Accor hotels make to the offering at Ibis

« Hotel lovely - Breakfast - well it could have been a bad day »

Hotel was easy to find on a "newish" industrial area out of town, as they normally are in France. Location good, just off the main road. Newish hotel, with a fitness center and restaurant, and a computer center Rooms slightly on the small size for a new build and for Ibis. However very clean and tidy. Strange art work on wall, but thats just taste .... Very convenient for the historic castle, sadly the old town is more a "new" town from WWII. But it looked very nice when we drove through. We did not have an evening meal, but we had booked a late checkout and breakfast. We were told it was served till 11am. This was not so, but luckily we were down by 9:30. Unfortunately most of the breakfast had been eaten and not replenished. When I asked for some more breakfast I was told that there were three dry slices of ham left - what more did I want. Not good. Trouble was she was the manager. Asked for a refund on the breakfast and was refused. Expensive coffee at 20€ Top Tip : Don't book breakfast - check to see if there is some before paying. It was a shame as everything else was perfect.

« Secret deep in the Normandy countryside »

If you want to see who it was who conquered England in 1066, go to Falaise, the site of William the Conqueror's castle. Despite being under the Nazi heel in the 1940's, this little town retains some charms and this Ibis is functional and ideally situated. Restaurant open till latish for the French countryside, and clean serviceable rooms. A great tribute to Accor sharp focus on what is important to travellers not destination tourists,

« Good basic hotel for overnight stopoff »

We arrived at 11pm to a warm welcome, although mamselle somewhat overestimated my French and we spent an amusing few minutes trying our card in various doors before we found ours. The room was very clean, bed was comfy, and bathroom had a bath which was an unexpected bonus. The only negative was the lack of sockets: one for tv, and one other, so difficult to charge our phones and tablet. A kettle and tea/coffee would have been welcome, but there was breakfast on offer downstairs if wanted. We had a pichet of red wine at the bar on arrival which was very welcome despite being served mystifying cold on tap, like lager! (24 hr bar)

« Last stop before Euroshuttle »

Overnight stay before return home from a hree week holiday in South of France. Very reasonable prices with very good parking facilities. Excellent evening meal in the restaurant again with very reasonable prices.

« Falaise Ibis »

This is the second time we have stayed at the Ibis Falaise. It is a good stop on the way to Cherbourg, conveniently close to the main road.. There are no frills here but clean and adequate rooms. The restaurant is attached to the hotel and the food is of reasonable quality although the menu is short on choice. This could be improved, Bathroom in the standard room is small, not offering the range of toiletries one comes to expect and there was only one spare pillow (why when there is a double bed?) Another is provided if you ask for it. Room was rather too warm at night and turning the temp gauge on the wall didn't achieve anything. Sleep was a bit disturbed as a result. Breakfast is good and worth the €10 or so. Staff are friendly. A visit to the castle, birthplace of William the Conqueror is definitely worth doing. Excellent at describing the English history of the time.

« Slippery bath »

The room was fine and the bed was comfortable BUT there was no bath mat or grab rails and the bath was very slippery therefore could not use the shower. Breakfast was fine and staff were very pleasant

« Pleasantly surprised! »

Stayed only one night en route for Ouistreham. Pleasantly and conveniently located, we had a comfortable, clean second-floor room, with a view of the Chateau de Falaise. Breakfast was good, commensurate with other Ibis of the same level. Until arrival, we had not realised that the restaurant also offered evening meal, which was a real bonus after a long day's driving. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend for an overnight stop, or longer stay.

« Falaise for a night »

Excellent, clean hotel. Very comfortable beds, good value. Friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast.. Close to all major sights and fantastic views of the town. An hour from ferry just off the dual carriageway before it becomes the Motorway so handy to stop if you are going further south. Very easy to find.

« Always dependable »

It's always a pleasure to stay here when arriving on or heading for the ferry at Caen. Clean rooms, good parking, attended front desk so messing about with code locks! There's a bar available even if you arrive late at night
