« Two Night Stay in an Aswan Landmark »

Everything about our stay was outstanding. The hotel upgraded us to a premium suite that was absolutely gorgeous. Our view - manicured gardens, pool, palm trees, docked feluccas, Nile river, and west bank - was a delight. Our balcony was huge, well positioned and comfortable. We really liked the setting of the French restaurant, and had gourmet meals. Service was prompt and caring. All of the staff we met spoke and understood English very well. We had watched the movie Death On The Nile beforehand to see our intended hotel on film. It's bigger and nicer now. Our stay was during low season and during Ramadan. The former limited the number of on-site shops that were open (that's okay - we weren't in Egypt to shop). As westerners, we like our wine. Elsewhere in Egypt and Jordan, that was sometimes difficult, but not at the Old Cataract Legend.

As I am a gold member, I got a free upgrade of the suite. The service is exceptionally good. From the time of arrival to the time of check out, everything is excellent. I tried the spa and dinner in the restaurant. The experience is great!

From reception to restaurants was beautiful. The room amazing, with modern shower. The staff real embassadors of wellness and wellbeing of the clients. I would recommend to anyone who wants to go to a memorable stay in Egypt. Where to improve? Access to Swimming pool and SPA, i got lost when i tried to go there the first time.

« So much to enjoy;not enough time »

We came with a vintage Egypt group tour. The view of the Nile (which we had traveled up for 5 days prior) was breathtaking! This property is a top luxury hotel. Time did not permit trying the spa or sampling all the restaurants, but we did find the 1902 restaurant impressive. Two constructive critiques...The bar should add top shelf gins to their inventory and re: pool maintenance the tiles need to be scrubbed with a brush and bleach to remove the ring around the circumference.

As always my wife and I had the most marvellous time in this most wonderful of hotels. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of the staff, and they always try to get anything that one wants. We are especially grateful for the care and concern that Mr Hossam took of us, always answering questions, and being available whenever we needed something, when Mr Ossama was not available. We love this place so much that we will be back very soon, to spend a great deal more time.

There are not enough adjectives to describe how wonderful this hotel is. It is as far as I am concerned the perfect place to spend a great deal of time, which is what I do. The attentiveness, kindness and caring of all the staff is outstanding, one asks or needs something, and any member of staff will go out of their way, to make it happen. Mr Hakim the bell captain, is a wonderful gentleman, as is Mr Hossam, who does everything to make one comfortable, Mr Nagy is superb at his F&B job, and Mr IT, is wondrous and has improved the broadband immensely . Mr Zayan of Talent and Culture, is definitely talented and cultured, Sophie in the Spa is a wonderful supervisor. In fact I could name everyone!! I love it so much, I will be back as soon as I can, to again spend more months in such a delightful place. Thank you for making it a home for me.
