Old Swiming pool ,, bad food taste nothing .. kebabgy restaurante 0/10... housekeeping 5/10,, always forget something, i had to call everyday to order towels or shampoo ..etc. staff 10/10 but needs formation how to work in a hotel 5 stars... not all only the new persons..

This is the second time I’ve had the privilege to stay at Old Cataract. I hope it won’t be the last. You’ve made me feel special and important to you. You really know what Top service is about. All personnel was really great, but I thought I’d like to transmit my special thanks to Mr Ahmed in charge of room service for his fine details and surprises; to Mr Mansour and Mr Peter from the restaurant, for being so courteous, sweet and caring; to Mr Hebra from the bar, for his outstanding cocktails and elegant manners. Most particularly, a special note of thankfulness goes to Mr Mostafa Salem, who is a high standard professional capable of making dreams come true. You must be honored and proud to have him in your staff. This said, your hotel’s location combined with the quality of your staff makes you unique in the entire world! « I fell in Love with Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan, Egypt »

I didn’t expect i would stay in the same hotel as Dame Agatha Christie, Princesa Diana, Angelina Jolie. The Old World charm mixed with Modern Elements of Comfort makes staying in Okd Cataract a Truly Unique Experience ! The rooms wooden floor, beautiful drapes and beddings and drapes abive the bed , the bathroom and the towels and toiletries ! Coffee and fruits and sweets !! All Superb ! The lobby , the bar, the Lanai, the Pool , the library and the palm trees and water fountain entrance all add UP to the experience ! Special shout out to Asst Manager Islam ! He was My videographer for My Vlog and he patiently recorded My spiels and gave a me plenty of trivia about the hotel . Extra shout out to the management who were very accomodating. And to the Bartenders Too!

We had an amazing time at the Cataract. The staff are delightful and super helpful. The food was equally fresh and hearty. You just can't get enough of the view from the pool with its stunning scenery. The rooms are also very comfortable, and immaculate. Will definitely be returning back!

Every thing was perfect in Cataract Aswan Hotel. My only request is to add other chanels in the hotel rooms TV, some Egyoptian sport chenels are even not found in the hotel rooms !!! Also I want to know where at the hotel I can watch the BeiN sport chanel. I' m greatly appreciated the hotel front office team directed by Mr. Hosam and his team...Mr. Mostafa, Mr. Mina, Mr. Islam....etc Also the reservation team directed with Ms. Hanan and Ms. Israa In this regard I have to excepress my great thanks to Mr. Ahmed El Shandawely the hotel director for his daily great efforts he is continously done in the hotel and how he is directed his team (Mr. Osama,..........) and the unblievable arrangment he done in the hotel land scaping and gardins

Had three days at the Old Cataract in Aswan, our second visit, and can not wait to return. We stayed in the new wing with the most splendid view of the river Nile. The rooms were luxurious, clean, and the best nights sleep we have had on holiday. Also the air conditioning was quiet and kept the room at a perfect temperature. Quality of breakfast was five star with a wonderous amount of choice. Service was good.

« we loved the beautiful romantic place, and wished wed stayed longer! »

Our travel agent advised us not to stay here 4 days as we planned, as there was nothing to do in Aswan, we were extremely annoyed about this as this was one of the most beautiful places to stay. We had a romantic dinner at the Eygptian restaurant and the wait staff were lovely. The only annoyance was on arrival I was told by my cruise ship I would be checking in at 11am, we were surprised to be told you can't have a room until 3pm, other Hotels had provided a temporary room to change in etc, I found the staff rude and unhelpful over this also they don't know how to make a pina colada! apart from a bad start, we loved the place.

It is really most disappointing to know that you couldn’t stay longer ; I do agree with you that one night is not enough to enjoy & explore the service & facilities in our hotel i.e. our marvelous SO Spa ,our Signature Restaurant 1902 , The Legend Terrace & The stunning view of the Nile on our Promenade while you enjoying your afternoon indulgence. In regards to your comments regarding to your check in experience, kindly be informed that our official Check in time is 15H00 & it is already communicated with all Travel Agencies, also it is published on our Websites & all other bookings sites. However if the room is not ready our guests can enjoy the hotel facilities; Outdoor Pool, Indoor Pool, Steam Rooms, Fitness etc... We provide changing rooms in our SO Spa that includes changing lockers, shower, toilets, bathrobes, slippers, amenities etc... Nevertheless, It truly is heartwarming to read that apart of the bad start, you loved our hotel.
