Served its purpose being close to airport but room really should just be ripped out and started again - very very dated - was also near the air con cooler that made noise all night and the large puddle next to it attracted mosquitoes

It puzzles us why some guests may have issues when they check in or check out which ends up holding up the queue. When we arrived the Accor Plus designated desk was stuck with this couple and there was no one else to queue break. The reason why it puzzles us, is because the whole process should be very straight forward: "hi, we booked online, our name is Mr & Mrs Blah" - "Hi Mr & Mrs Blah, Welcome, I can see your reservation here, here's your room key and these are our amenities". Simple. Why do people get stuck? What can be so complicated? Why isn't there a queue breaker? There were also only 2 lifts working. Having said that, the experience with staff is always great. We had lunch at the restaurant on level 3 and the service there was amazing. We would like to commend a lady in the name of Prapa. She made our lunch experience very pleasant.

The rooms were a great size, the beds were comfy and the buffet breakfast was delicious. The staff were always friendly and keen to help. The only negative was the lifts not working properly...they really need to be looked at. That being said I definitely wouldn’t hesitate staying here again.

We waited almost 3 hours to check into our room. (Arriving at 1:50pm we didn’t get into our room until after 4pm. We couldn’t fold the fold out lounge out as there was a bed in the way. Our child had to sleep on the couch. Room was not as described to us at the time we made the booking. The air-conditioning was not working in the dining room for breakfast and therefore our dining experience was very bad. Noise from party goers down on the beach throughout the night made it almost impossible to sleep. Police sirens screaming all night, morning sun exposed all the holes in the block out blinds. The bed was as hard as a rock and the water pressure was the worst. We couldn’t wait to leave. My wife spoke with the duty manager about our concerns however there was nothing she could do about the majority of our complaints. As Accor club silver members this was one of the worst hotel experiences we can remember. Sadly, our review means we will never return and we are seriously considering if we should bother to continue with our Accor club membership as we feel being an Accor club member assisted us in no way.

Last minute booking for new years eve - the hotel staff was at full capacity and despite being busy the hotel manager AJ provided outstanding service- with few misunderstandings of the reception staff- stephanie and AJ was so helpful and truly amazed how i was treated and felt appreciated as a guest. 100% professional and friendly service. We had a very relaxed time with you..and enjoyed our get away. With just being diagnosed with having stage 4 gallbladder cancer it was time well enjoyed so that we could refocus and prepare for treatments. And we hope to be able to come here every 4 weeks from Canberra so that we can be near the ocean...making it out monthly retreat. And of course we love seeing the planes take off and land from the airport.
