There was renovations being done and there was directions to the reception but they needed to be clearer. When they gave us directions to our room, the map showed that the car park for that area was around the corner and always a bit from the front entrance. We could actually have left our car at the front and it would’ve been easier to get there on foot. The room we were given was a twin share with double beds instead of a queens bed for a couple. So as I said, overall, very disappointing

It was a nice enough resort, staff were pleasant. Resort reception was under refurbishment during our visit; that didn't really inconvenience us at all, it slowed down check-in somewhat but whatever. We didn't leave feeling that this place is a must return, but would stay there again.

We were a little disappointed as we were not warned about the renovations. Right from the check in, which was in the carpark. It was an extremely long wait to just check in and then nothing was explained to us and then when we arrived in our room, we spent ages looking for a book to explain the resort and activities. As we couldn't find any information we had to go back to reception, which we waited 20mins and still hadn't reached the counter, so we left. Eventually we found the resort information on the tv. Twin waters is extremely old and in need of repair. When checking out, we were not asked how our stay was. Just asked for the keys and then told 'thats it'.

We had a great stay and the room was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast were more that adequate with a great variety to choose from. We also enjoyed our evening meals in the restaurant with good service and friendly staff. The bar staff were very friendly while we enjoyed some pre dinner and after dinner drinks. We would stay there again.

We Hired a Basic room which you get what you pay for? Each morning at 7am right out side our room (405) the garden staff would blow all the leaves from the sad looking PUT PUT greens area if you can call it that, Parking first night parked in local car park to find Bat dropping all over the car in the morning 2nd night parked in parking away from the room due to your reservations most of the main building was closed, just the hole hotel is looking old and dirty from the golf carts to hall ways, BUT the grounds around the water and the paths and looking at the activates you offer is a big plus staff were all friendly I would return (in a different room) thanks Terry 04…

My room was a closet. No USB outputs. My walls may as well of not existed because I heard everything the neighbours did and everything is far from everything. Definitely not the Novotel experience I have come to understand and appreciate. I understand there is renovations but this was ridiculous.

Great and with a large group everything ran smoothly with our small trophy presentation. Thanks for your understanding with a group of 60 people on one of the lakeside grass areas. Hotel and staff showed great support to junior rugby league. All parents and Coach Ron T. were very appreciative. A special mention to Jenna McIvor in group reservations for making it happen.

We rang at 2.21PM to confirm we were arriving in half an hour. We were told the room was not ready but would be in about half an hour. All good and we arrived at 2.45. Huge cues at temporary reception out front. 20 mins in cue then told room would be another 30 minutes which is surprising because this was 45 mins after we had been told on the phone it would be 30 mins. Given some drink vouchers and told they would call as soon as it was ready. 45 minutes later and with no call and a very long wait at a very busy Cafe/ Bar I called reception and was advised the room was ready. Room was great but we were now very late for a 60th birthday party. We had prepurchased breakfast and arrived the following morning at about 8am to find a line outside the restaurant all the way back to the sand. I estimate 30 to 40 people waiting for tables. Went to reception as we had a commitment and asked for breakfast to be refunded. After seeking permission from 2 different people this occured. We have stayed at twin waters 30 plus times and most people understand that refurbisment occurs but you must compensate when this happens. Every department under the circumstances seemed understaffed. Housekeeping, reception, breakfast etc. May have been our worst Accor stay of all time.

When we book our room (2) we requested they be close by as a special occassion regarding our 9 year old Grandaughter. This was marked on our booking but when we arrived we were told our other room was on the opposite side of the resort. Of course we were upset after a long flight .. and this was important to us. The assistant who checked us in was aware of how disappointed we were and did manage to move our family closer. Our first evening we dined in dining room and our meal had to be sent back... we couldn't eat it, the waitress didn't know if she could refund us .. and it wasn't $49 each for two meal of Fillet Steak that were so tough, we honestly couldn't eat them. We thought this should have been deducted. We will talk to the Booking Agents as to why we weren't not notified that Resort was under renovation, and lots of things quite old ( mini golf) . We couldn't fault breakfast except that the tables ( varnished) meant that our hot coffee cups and saucers often stuck to the table. Can't fault the people looking after the water activities, really great group of people who did their job very well.

Disappointing, the renovations make the place feel like you are on a building site

We were evacuated from the Peregian bush fire and were so pleased you could accommodate us, your staff were fantastic. However, the resort is really run down, we understand that’s why the renovations would be taking place but we pretty disappointed to be charged $166 a night to stay in such a run down place. It was also disheartening to hear his hotels in Noosa opened their doors and gave away free accommodation to the evacuated families and yet we were charged that amount of money. The room was tired and dirty, still body hair in the shower from previous occupants. The kids were also so disappointed that the trampolines were gone. The bar area is disgustingly filthy, the white leather seats are filthy along with rotten carpet and a few awful, dirty cushions that give the place the feeling of being sad and unloved!

Very disappointed with our stay. We were advised of building work, but what we turned up to was a joke. Reception outside under the canopy of the road going past. The reception building just a few passage ways, leading to cafe/shop, bar and restaurant (you of course know all this). Floor in bar area very dirty/filthy and stained, when we mentioned this we were told its the renovations. It was nothing to do with the renovations it was desperately in need of a clean. Room 308 again desperately in need of renovations, cigarette burn on the wood in the bathroom. Bath so old you couldn't clean it, had an in-ground stain all around it and bottom of bath had crazy patterns again with ground in black dirt that wouldn't clean off. Asked for bleach to be used in the drains in the room along with cleaning bath and mopping the whole floor. Breakfast in the restaurant was exceptional, but to eat in the bar and have your food delivered in a box was very poor. Staff we met were fantastic. more than helpful, trying to work under very awkward conditions. There was no place to sit , relax, read a book or just chill out, what the old reception area was perfect for. We were tempted just to go home, but we persevered walked around the lake a lot, even around the lake no place to sit and relax. We did report 3 local lads for fishing from the bridge as we saw them catch a Parrot Fish. Again very sorry we came whilst renovations being carried out, as it was not the relaxing break we expected in a 4 star resort.
