Vl Business - 18/07/2019 AccorHotels review

The hotel rooms are relatively dated, the bathroom was renovated but the soap inside the shower was finished when I tried to use it. I told to the receptionist at checkout and she just said “ok”, no apologies. Also, the power socket next to the bed as broken and I needed for charging my phone. Breakfast was ok, the nespresso machine is good, except when a lady was kind when she tried to help but she pressed “americano” without even asking what I wanted and I needed to redo another coffee because I wanted a short espresso. I understand that are small things but that are part of my customer experience.

The hotel is well placed for metro, tramway and buses. It is comfortable and quiet. The bar is not permanently staffed, but well organised. Staff sorted out a problem with a kettle with great speed. Nice neighbourhood for bars and bakeries, and close to super restaurants in Les Brotteaux.

A "Lyon" hotel with parking next to metro and 3 stops to hotel de ville

Selected because of underground parking and acecss to metro - only 3 stops to hotel de ville and art gallery. 4 nights plus parking for 500 euros. Not cheap but a very comfy room and plenty of towels. 6th floor but still bothered by noise on Saturday night because of McDonald's opposite.

As usually, all was on very high level! I feel sorry - I failed to ask the name of wonderful lady on reception to say personal "Merci bien!". She was extremely helpful with hundreds of question I come with during my stay. And all of these questions were not about any single problem of the stay itself, but generally about places around or other moments.

Very good breakfast. Staff all pleasant. Two pillows each should be the norm. We should not have to ask for extra in a 4-star hotel. Towels used by previous occupants not removed from bathroom. Had to ask for spare toilet roll one day as only half a one left (after cleaning).

This was our experience of a pre-booked 3-night stay in a “Privilege Room”: On arriving it was not possible to lock the safe. This was attended to. We later found the fridge was ON but failed to work wherever the thermostat was set. The next evening we returned to find used latex gloves and a dirty towel left on the table: the bed had been stripped and left unmade. This was attended to. On the third evening we returned to find the bed unmade (yet again!), the bins hadn’t been emptied, there were no clean towels, and the safe lock failed to open despite using the correct code number. So our passports were inaccessible. This was very disconcerting as we were due to make an early departure the following morning. No clean cups were ever provided. The reception staff were always polite and willing to rectify things. But to have such a catalogue of faults and failings in the same Privilege room is unacceptable. It indicates very poor management at this hotel. No attempt was made to compensate us for the inconvenience we experienced.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days on a weekend. The hotel is close to the city center and very nearby Part Dieu. The room was not too bad but I did hear a lot of noise from street. Breakfast was great

In general, the stay at this hotel was acceptable. The bed was relatively comfortable. However, I did not find the pillow to my liking. In the toilet, I was expecting to have body cream available which was not the case. Something that needs to be improved is the sound coming from the outside. Having stayed on the 6th floor, I was considered not to hear much noise which was not the case. The window did not close entirely and this led to noise coming in. One of the good points in this hotel is the breakfast that you provide. Large variety of food and with good quality.

A good value comfortable hotel which although technically in Villeurbanne is a good place to stay for visiting Lyon, just next to tram and metro and a short walk to the Brotteaux district. Helpful staff let me have a late check out and even provided scotch tape when one of my bags broke!

Only one complaint and that was not a major issue. The standard of housekeeping was good and your staff were unobtrusive. The one complaint was the fridge in the room, it didn't work. I tried to move it to check what the problem was but I burnt my fingers on the back of the unit. I unplugged it and left it alone from then.

Good restaurant with kind staff. Breakfast was ok. There was a strong smell in the room, probably the glue from the carpet etc. Clean room but already in quite bad condition. Should be renovated. Maybe I was a rare platinum guest for this hotel since there were not general benefits for platinum guest.
