Service, Room, Breakfast, Bed were very nice. Easy to use tram, bus, train. Only one thing didn't satisfy me. Drain in shower booth was not good. Please fix it. I will be there next year. See you again.

Staff were welcoming. Room is showing age and initial cleanliness was below previous standards. Shower drainage was an issue. Restaurant menu and food was not as good as previous trips. Hotel is convenient location for my work.

« Great business hotel, a few improvements could be made »

The location cannot be beat - near the train station, tramway lines, Minatec and industry, etc. The lobby is very nice and the food at the restaurants is nice. Lunchtime at the Novotel is a who's who of Grenoble's movers and shakers ;-) Older parts of town are just a nice walk or tramway ride away. The only problems I had: no washcloth provided (as is often the case in Europe, but troublesome to me) and I had difficulty with the shower; it might just be me, but I could not figure out how that tiny button worked and was unable to get the water as hot as I would have liked.

The service I think is going down, specially during breakfast. It used to be better in the past, and when we arrived for breakfast, both days, it was not so crowded but the tables were all dirty and we had to ask twice for someone to clean one table for us to seat.

« good as usual but..some signs of decays »

Experience has been good as usual, but both services and maintenance and also focus on details are getting worse. For example at breakfast, coffee machine not working or leaking water, caffe taken to table not the one requested, croissant/pain chocolate totally burnt for two days out of three, and in spite of that, serviced. Also hosting at reception is a bit too long for a "frequent comers". this was noticed also by my colleagues were with me. General status of the hotel ,lift, not fantastic. I repeat nothing dramatic, I will continue to come, but it is a pity...

Hi! I am still waiting for my receipt, mail nr 2. I also have two reservations on my creditcard, one for 151 euro and one for 152. One of them was for 200 euro up till today, saturday. I really think you should explain the timeframe when offering receipt via email. I need this monday morning! Br Magnus L.

Dear M. Loven First of all,we thank you to have taken time to fill the quality inquiry about your stay in our hotel on the 23rd may in room 304. We are sorry to hear that you did not receive your bill by email on the day of departure. Normally, if you agree to do a fast check-out, we need your email adress to send you the bill on the day of departure. Then we have to make a pre-autorisation on your credit card to cover your expenses. The room rate was at 151 € bed and breakfast, 1 € for a resident tax. The pre-autorisation was made for 200 € to cover your extras if you had some. On departure, we only validated the exact amount you owed us, that is 152 €, out of the 200 € pre-autorisation. I hope you received correctly the email we sent you on Saturday the 26th may.. If not, I stay at your disposal to send you all details required. « My previous stays at this hotel have been better. »

I arrived at the hotel in the afternoon. I was very tired after 24 hours of being awake and slept past the dinner hour. I tried to call for room service but apparently it was too late. The person who answered asked 'What do you want from me?' I stated again that I wanted room service and the reply was 'It's closed!' It would be good to have some kind of snacks easily available for jet lagged travelers who are hungry outside the normal local times for meals. Also, in my last two stays at this hotel, the staffing in the restaurant on Sunday evening was only one person. The server, on both occasions, did the best they could but the wait time was very long for the service but not to get the food from the kitchen after ordering. For this stay, the breakfast was not as good as it has been in the past. Two days in a row, there were no scrambled eggs. I understand there was a problem with the oven but this was only communicated when a colleague complained at the desk as we were checking out. During past visits, there was also a selection of cheese but there was only one kind of cheese and only one day the whole week. One of the coffee machines was overflowing on the floor all week and the other one indicated it needed maintenance. The fresh scones and chocolate croissants were very good.

We've stayed in Grenoble a few times recently and always stay at the Novotel. The staff are really helpful, the reception and bar area are very smart and the restaurant is good. The rooms will probably need updating soon, but they're always clean and comfortable.

« after several years of absence I was back to the hotel tha was almost my house for a long period, and found it even better than before »

The personal is competent and efficient. A lady in reception convinced me finally to apply for the ACCOR Hotels membership. Another lady helped me tu cut an small blood flow in my finger. The facilities are clean and renovated, and the hotel location is perfect, near the train and bus station and the city center.

« Ideal location for train travellers, could do with a refurb »

I stayed at the Novotel Grenoble Centre in April 2018 on business travel. I arrived by car from Switzerland. The hotel has indoor parking, but the entrance to the parking lot is not ideal for bigger cars. It's an older car park with lots of twists and turns and I worried about scratching it when navigating through the twists and turns. My room was equipped with the usual Novotel stuff: double bed with a good mattress, sleep couch, desk, bathroom and separate toilet. However, the room did feel a bit old fashioned, there also seemed to be a white stain on the wall of the toilet. If that was due to water damage or due to something else I couldn't tell. The aircon unit was quite loud and didn't seem that performant, but overall I slept well. I ordered a club sandwich from room service because I arrived late in the evening and didn't feel like looking for a restaurant in the city. It was OK but I had better ones. Due to my client appointment only being at 10AM, I arrived at the breakfast buffet at 9, finding the staff already busy with cleanup and not a lot of the buffet still available. I made do with what remained but was a bit disappointed to be honest. Luckily, Grenoble has a lot of nice, affordable bistros in the city centre so I would eat there instead of the hotel if possible. Staff was helpful and nice as always, but overall I left feeling only just satisfied with my stay. The hotel needs modernisation and an upgrade of their food offerings.

« All good but a little proactivity in the restaurant could go a long way... »

All went well until I decided to go to the restaurant for dinner. It was not busy and there were at least 3-4 people who were working there (although what 2 of them were doing was beyond me). I got a menu pretty quickly but the lady who provided it quite explicitly ignored me after that until I called her and asked to order. I can't imagine how it works when busy.....

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay finding nothing special to make the difference, even we have recently redecorated our bar to create a new atmosphere and make feel our guest welcome. Concerning your request for a late check-out on your day of departure, we are sorry to hear That you could not stay a little bit longer. Our hotel is full on week-days and our organisation is to make sure rooms are ready from 12AM, but we could have seen with our housekeeper to adapt 30 minutes longer at least.
