Very friendly helpful staff. meals delicious only comment is the service at breakfast. The meal is served till 10.00a.m. we got to the restaurant at 9.15 no one around While it looked like there was a good selection of on offer most of the plates were empty or nearly empty eg there were 2 small bits of bacon and a very small amount of scrambled egg, 3 croissants and the pancakes were cold. 4 more people arrived after us so there was even less for them. Nobody appeared to replenish or check. It was a pity because the service and meal the night before was excellent. also reception and bar staff were excellent

This was our second stay in your hotel. The first was last November when we had a slight complaint about Olivier the receptionist who did respond to the issue. However, this time everything was just perfect. All your staff we came into contact with on the day were very polite and helpful. Would recommend to our friends

Nice "Privilege" room, good features, nice decoration. Third bed should be made by maids, not by guests, even if it is easy to do. Good restaurant, but breakfast service could improve. Overall an excellent hotel to vidit Carcassonne.

The location was amazing, the restaurant wonderful, the desk staff extremely helpful. It was the room. It seemed both a bit shabby and dirty. Biggest problem is the carpet.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Carcassonne. We really appreciated our request for a view of the floodlit walls being granted; wonderful view. Close location to main entrance allowed us to go in and out of the fortified town multiple times including for a highly memorable dinner. Staff were most helpful and friendly and the buffet breakfast was of a high quality, too.

« Lovely hotel spoilt by one person »

We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a most unhelpful male receptionist who said we didn’t have a reservation but due to my husband’s persistence he found it. The room was lovely. Evening meal was perfect and the bar and restaurant staff were very helpful and courteous. Check out the day after was undertaken by the same rude receptionist who was very abrupt and again unhelpful although he couldn’t do enough for the French business man checking out in front of us. He didn’t even acknowledge our departure with au revoir. He didn’t even lift his head up from behind reception even though he wasn’t busy with other guests. But for his attitude this hotel would have had an excellent rating. He is a team member who let the side down.

Everything was perfect for our stay at your hotel in Carcassonne apart from the male receptionist who was unhelpful on arrival (7 November approximately 1.30) and had an attitude which he carried forward to our departure from on 8 November around 9 am. He was almost rude and didn’t even say goodbye as we left. We asked a question about our account and he was very condescending. He was very helpful and polite to a French male on check out by providing him with an envelope for his business receipts. All the other staff were so polite and helpful such a shame he has such an “important” first impression role in your hotel in Carcassonne. Having said all that we will be staying at your hotel in February 2019on our return from Spain. The young man in the restaurant was amazing and we hope he does well in his current role and in the future

Very good location for medieval city and hotel was clean and modern. The room however was small with no real storage/wardrobes so had to live out of a case for a week. Disappointed the pool was closed and room had no view at all. Breakfast had plenty of choice was a but expensive for what it was. Was not too impressed with some of the reception/breakfast staff, helpful at times but pretty rude at times. Most people in the hotel were on bus trips for a night. It is probably fine for this but not for a longer stay.

Easy walk from the hotel up to the Cite, so location is good.Due to silver status, received a voucher for a welcome drink on arrival (one for my husband would have been nice too!)Room was quite small, with a very small window, so the room felt dark all the time...more light please! The beds were quite uncomfortable, hard mattress, and hard pillows. Woke up with backache every morning. Tea & coffee in the room is a nice touch, but more than 1 milk/cream per person would be a good idea!!Breakfast was very good, no complaints, great coffee.Pool was out of action, but no indication on the website when booking (it was gated off and locked). Was very disappointed, as only booked this hotel due to the pool (I appreciate it is October, and seems like Winter to the French, but actually it was like an extended Summer for us Brits!)I presented my loyalty card when purchasing drinks in the bar (as on the Accor website it states to present it for every item you purchase...meals, drinks etc) and the barstaff did not know what it was for! So some education from Accor HQ is required at this hotel. Therefore, I have missed out on a few extra loyalty points here.

« Did not head home with a good feeling after our 5 night stay. »

We were with another 3 people and we didn't get a feeling that our custom was appreciated and the service and attention in the small bar was very poor, and we were made feel that we were imposing on the staff's time. Fire alarm went off at 05.30 on our last night for about 10 minutes; no member of staff was available at reception to advise us what to do, and no one made any reference to it when we checked out at 9am. Quality of hot food at breakfast was poor.

Booked a superior room to ensure adequate space and comfort. Chosen for tea making facilities, free secure parking and proximity to the citadel. Did not like the coffee maker, a kettle is perfect (and much cheaper to supply) Reception staff lack the friendly welcoming touch, quite abrupt, but do exude an air of efficiency, or at least being very busy. Disliked the flimsy plastic cups, with a mini bar one would reasonably expect better than just one wine glass in a double/triple room. Very comfortable bed. We were travelling on motorcycles therefore the secure parking was important, but not bookable in advance. In practice I think we were pretty much guaranteed able to find somewhere to put them within the large secure compound.
