« Good, but more attention to details, please »

We came back to this hotel for a short vacation, because we enjoyed so much our stay in August 2018. Unfortunately, rooms with a terrace were unavailable at the time because of ongoing renovation of hotel’s facade, so we stayed in a privilege room instead. That was a bit disappointing, but the room was actually fine. By the way, it’s larger than a room with a terrace. The staff were nice and friendly. The construction activities did not disturb us at all. However, this time the staff lacked attention to details... for instance, our minibar was not always fully refilled (juice or coke might be missing). In addition to that, they didn’t deliver a preordered bottle of champagne to our room upon arrival. When we went to reception to check, they couldn’t find it in our booking (although we booked via the Accor site, so it should be directly in the system). The receptionist doubted that we had ordered it at all. Only when another, obviously more experienced staff member joined the receptionist, they were able to find the order and arrange the delivery to our room. That definitely was not a nice beginning of vacation. Apart from that, it was a great stay and definitely the hotel is a good value for money (although we missed our terrace room a lot :) ).

I’m a platinum Accor Hotels member and I normally get an upgrade if available. I was lied to by the hotel members about the upgrade being available to a room I specifically asked for. Another member kindly helped me and got me upgraded in the end for a fee. Once I got upgraded, the room had builders working outside the window with scaffolding. They could see inside the room and were constantly banging on the roof in the early morning which meant I could not sleep. The room should have not been made available for guest stays with under those conditions.

I have chosen the hotel because of the location (close to Louvre) and because my membership to Accor. I was a little bit surprised by the small size of the hotel, old installations and small room. On the other hand, I was positively surprised by the quiet room (no noise at night) and the well known Mercure breakfast.

- I've never slept in a small room like the room 102 of this Hotel: no natural light from the window, lamps lit day & night. - During the breakfast the food was not replaced quickly once finished; - impossible to stand in the shower (I am 175 cm tall no 2 meters).

« My stay was fine but I was overcharged and one month on I am still waiting to be refunded »

My room was extremely comfortable and I very much appreciated the birchbox amenities. I had difficulties contacting room service on two nights. On one night the phone was picked up and put down and I had to call back. On a second night the phone rang and rang and I went via Reception. The gentlemen who delivered my room service was very apologetic and I appreciated the complimentary drink. I took advantage of fast check out as I there was a number of people waiting to check out when I left. I did not recieve a copy of my bill until I requested it and when I checked it I found I had been charged for Breakfast when I did not add breakfast to my booking or take breakfast. I contacted the hotel via email several times but I did not recieve a response. I called guest services and was advised I should email support. I emailed support and then followed up once more by email. I now have a case number but still no resolution. Case N°: WSFOLD20…43840. I would expect that when something goes wrong it is put right. That has not been my experience in this case and consequently I can not rate my stay as higher than a 5. Which is a shame as I really appreciated both the location and the room.
