« There is no recognition regardless to Guest's status »

Having a Gold member status, it did not give the benefits linked to. The turnover of personnel is too high and personnel is too young without experience. You are just feeling sorry for disturbing...! Moreover main French TV channel were not accessible, there was an error message on the system. After having mentioned it to the desk, no major change.

« We had a good stay and some of the staff are very accomodating (specifically the female front desk on duty when we arrived March 18th and checked out) »

The first four days were quite good and was very comfortable in our room but on the last 2 nights there were loud noises outside that woke us up several times. Also, fire alarm rang up that week end when we had to go down the lobby area along with other guests. When the ringing stopped, eveyrone else started going back to their rooms but none from the staff was noticed to take charge gathering and informing the guests what was happening. In most fire drills, a "safety officer" should be gatheirng the people even though its a drill only.

There was no electricity and the hotel front desk said it would come back at 6 pm on Saturday, Feb 24th but it never did. Then they had to evacuate the hotel and make everyone pack up all of their stuff. I was there for a week so i had a lot of things to pack in the pitch dark and then carry suitcase and other stuff down 5 flights of stairs. They never should have promised that electricity would be back on when it was out of their control. They made it sound like they were doing maintenance and at 6 pm they would stop the maintenance and turn the lights on. Bu it was really the city who shut the electricity off and they had not control of when it could come back on. They were not honest in their communication and inconvenienced a ton of people. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Dear Mrs Regine, First of all we apologize for all the inconveniences you had during your stay we us. Indeed during the weekend we had a cut off the power which was necessary and an obligation from the government. ERDF was in charge of the power outage. Due to a major problem during the cut off, no power came back. The issue was that the breaker was broken and the company ERDF wasn’t able to fix it. The General Manager Monsieur Poyade decided at this moment to relocate all guest for the they comfort and security. The most important for the us, is that all our guest are in security and of course they well-being too. The Novotel Rueil Malmaison paid all charges for the night of the relocation. As well you will find on your member account 2000 extra points. As Silver Member guest at Accorhotels, we would like to thank you for your loyalty. We do really apologize for all this trouble Mrs Regine, please be insure that we would more than happy to welcome you again at the Novotel Rueil Malmaison. « This is the second room that has a horrible mold/mildew smell. »

I had to open the window and close the bathroom door to reduce the smell. It was bad. The poor shower door design probably contributes to this.

The stay was excellent, staff very helpful. Only complaint was the hair dryer, you had to hold the button the entire time you are using it for it to work.

Rooms were basic, although to some extend renovated. Water from the tap smelled like the sewage (dirty water filter?) Bed was basic, synthetic feel / no cotton feel

« Worst service I have experienced in a Novotel in a long time! »

To be fair I can not comment on bar/restaurant but reception was enough to ensure we didn't bother to try either. My check-in was done by a gentleman who barely greeted me and seemed not to care he had customers. This was made even clearer when we stopped by later to ask his recommendation of a local French restaurant. He looked at us with amusement and instead of saying he didn't know the area or didn't have any real recommendations he said something to the effect of "there are lots of restaurants on the street outside and around the corner" The next morning check out was even more fun! How long can it take - queues were ridiculous with one guy seeming scared of his own shadow and the other watching him. Unbelievable for a business hotel. I 100% blame management having seen both of these examples - you need to put some customer care training in place as a matter of urgency. Perhaps the problem is that the hotel is always busy - you don't care perhaps? So disappointing!

« No consideration »

As a Gold member, there are some privilèges to grant. Apparently the young personnel turnover is not aware about it, and you are threated like just normal guest... without consideration. Moreover the bathroom is very dangerous when you take a shower, the soap makes the floor very sliding and there is nothing to hold your hand on. There are much cheaper Hotel with much better consideration and comfort!
