This hotel needs refurbisching. The location is very central, at the port, between the old city and the chique area of the yacht club and the SEA promenade. Parking next door.

« Breakfast on the terrace was beautiful! »

The staff was helpful, we were able to leave our luggage after check out so we could explore the city before heading to Capri. Breakfast on the terrace was very nice and our room was nice and the terrace was an added bonus! Would highly recommend this hotel and plan on a staying there again

Room was good. But breakfast was inadequate. Your Mercure Bologna hotel in Rome has the following all absent from the Naples breakfast: super-free plain yogurt; whole wheat cereal; quality teas including white tea and the same brand of great English afternoon tea (much better than Twinings); real salad with arugula; better quality cheese; real whole fruit: apples, bananas, Sicilian blood oranges

« Great location but service needs some effort »

We loved the outside space and view from our room, with a very comfortable bed. However our sheets weren't changed once in a 6 night stay and every single day I had to ask for things which were not replenished- toilet rolls, tea bags, milk and toiletries. This took ages as it seemed to surprise the staff and took them a long time to find anything. The welcome drink we were entitled to didn't appear but after a few days we settled on 2 small bottles of water which eventually arrived. Breakfast items ran out well before the end of service each day so we made sure we got up early in the end.

Despite advertising a bar, there is no longer one, nor a restaurant, the room decor is basic, more like an Ibis and sound insulation from the street nonexistent. The check in and staff were very nice. The room was old and outdated. The mattress had seen better days. Breakfast was good. Crossing the street in front of the hotel is a bit chaotic.

« Charged for the free minibar »

On checkout the person behind the desk, who I believe was new, said I had to pay for the minibar items I'd used, however I was told this was included in check in. I was running late so gave up arguing after she checked something that wouldn't have told her either way if it was included or not. She then couldn't work out how to use the card machine which wasted another five minutes, so ultimately I ended up paying an additional fee in cash just do I could make it to my train in time.

We very much appreciated the extraordinary help and support that the front desk staff provided in facilitating transportation from the Catania Airport to the Mercure Hotel in Siracusa due to delayed arrival of relatives during the mid-night hours. The desk staff provided useful and timely advise and then facilitated taxi transportation once arrival time of the delayed flight was known and communicated clearly the required information to our relatives coming in from Switzerland.

Check in staff efficient and helpful. Room was as expected from Mercure. Breakfast was delightful on a balcony in the sun looking over the port. Location good for sightseeing and the ferry to Sorrento.

Bed really comfortable, breakfast good. Disappointed that the room only had paper cups for tea - staff did get us ceramic cups when pressed. Shame the bar is closed. Disabled lift not functioning, not a problem for us but would be for some friends. We really like this hotel but these things make a difference.

Dear Francesca I would like to share with you How was my stay. First of all, checkin very nice, 20/20 ladies speak french even if we can speak english. Check in was good. Secondly room ? As a platinum member, Im expecting the best even at mercure hotel, as I asked room quiet.... I didnt remember my room number, I was first second floor or first floor you can check on your system Do you think allocate this room to a platinum member who I asked a quiet room is something nice ? Bed ? Very noisy, if you move in the bed... creaking. Windows ? Broken or maybe its normal as guest does’t have access to the balcony but we cant open the blinds so room is all time dark Upgrade ? Nothing as I check the same date, hotel was not fully booked and privilege room was available Night ? Desaster. Start to sleep after 3 am of course you can hear everything from the street. Second day I asked to move but apparently its not possible. Thanks At check out, very very slow as the ladie didn’t understood the invoice. She asked me 2 times you have to pay the city taxe. I explained 2 times I already pay when I check in 14€.
