This is a very nice hotel in a great central location. Only criticism I could make was my particular room looked over the roof of another building covered in Plant machinery so a disappointing outlook.

Unfortunately the air conditioning in the room was not working and the room became uncomfortable warm. Thankfully the tonight shift team were kind to bring a fan at 2am however eventually the room became cold as the air conditioning caught up an hour later.

Starting with the curbside Valet to check in staff everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately when we arrived at our room, things changed. A reading light needed a bulb. The airconditioner, even after 4 people had fiddled with it, did not work at all over our stay. The TV needed to be rebooted. All simple fix one would think. Not exactly what it turned out being. We always enjoy staying at your hotels here and overseas. Minor things are able to be dealt with, just not so many in one hit. We will be back. In fact we have pre booked and paid for Mecure Auckland for June this year.

No complaints, we had a great stay there and all the staff were extremely friendly & helpful. A shout out to Jake in the Lobby Bar who looked after us on the Saturday night. He was great and made us awesome cocktails. Nothing was too hard for him. He was a gem!

« Location was excellent, facilities were adequate but let down by lack of allergy awareness by hotel staff. »

We only stayed 2 nights and the location of the hotel was excellent allowing access to all areas of the city centre. There was a very uncomfortable pungent smell in the lifts from the lobby to the reception area which was very unpleasant. On booking in at reception I requested that there were no feather pillows on the bed as my wife is allergic to feathers. Whilst we were in the room the pillows were checked by room service and it was confirmed that they weren't filled with feathers. Unknown to us the duvet on the bed was filled with feathers. Hotel staff should have known this. On the first night my wife ended up sleeping on the floor of room 1321 as she was having trouble breathing when on the bed. We did not discover the feather duvet until in the morning when we noticed loose feathers on the bed. We removed the duvet and put it in the wardrobe and requested room service to replace it with a non feathered duvet, which they did but the damage had already been done. My wife slept better the second night but there must have still been some feathers around the room and she spent some time sleeping on the floor again. Not an ideal situation at all!

The experience was great as this hotel is very centrally located to the city. The lift well that went from the foyer reception to the exit was very smelly. It smelt like gas and made me and my family feel quite nauseated. That was the only criticism.

Was good a part of not allowing me to late check I asked for. If someone stayed 4 nights and paid more than $800 it’s a shame you asked him/her to pay $20 for check out at 2 pm. You need to improve your strategy on dealing with loyal customers like myself. If you check your system record, you’ll find I have stayed another 4 nights from 01/01 to 04/01/2018 provides I’m paying for a room for 2 persons and I’m staying alone for both visits as my friend had unexpected circumstances and didn’t came to stay with me. I was really shocked of the way your officer said no as the room needed to prepared for someone else.... had to check out at 12pm and my flight was 05:30 pm. I don’t think it’s a big issue if you allowed me to stay another 2 hours for being a regular client that won’t keep in future. Thanks and regards, Dr Zakaria E.

First time at the Novtel in Melbourne, long term Accor member. Novotel on Collins is in a great location central to everything. The room was really nice - Junior Suite - and spacious. Shame it was so dark in there with only three low powered downlights in the space. Put some more lighting in there folks.

« A most enjoyable stay. »

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience due to the friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Meals were of a high standard, catering for all needs. The room was impeccably presented and maintained. The location was perfect for access to all parts of Melbourne. One suggestion: the lighting in the bathroom needs to be brighter for shaving, applying makeup etc.

Our stay was great! Check in was quick and easy, pool was clean and not too busy, bar had a nice ambience. Staff were friendly and attentive. House keeping were efficient. Beds comfy.. awesome shower!
