- I was physically hurt with a housekeeper name tag ( having a safety pin at the back ) that was under the bed sheet ( Name Tag for Mrs Harpreet) this was handed back to the reception at the time of the checkout However there was no apologies at the reception in receipt of the name tag. - Fire Evacuation at 10:30 pm on 14/01/2019 did not help the experience either because there was no further explanation from the hotel in regards to the cause of the issue. The Hotel has a duty to inform the tenants of the cause of the issue.

« Devalued customer experience - the worst ever experienced at an Accor hotel. »

From the minute of check in where I had to argue for an upgrade the total experience was just awful. Your reception staff are the rudest staff I have ever had to encounter in an Accor hotel. Despite booking two family rooms I was told categorically that there would be no privileges attached to my family staying in the second room. That has never been my experience in any other Accor hotel and I have stayed in many.

Room was neat and tidy. Barman Stephen allowed other guests he assumed were part of our party add drinks to our account and then was adamant they were part of our party. They were not and we had never met them. We were evacuated due to a fire alarm. No assistance from staff at the fire exit. We were in an alley at the back of the building with a group of 14th floor guests who had no idea where we were or how to get to the front of the building. No staff assistance at anytime during the evacuation. Explanation given was an alarm in a guest room had activated but found to be a false alarm.

We loved the location, perfect for exploring the city. Overall we were very happy, very friendly staff at reception (very efficient ) and bar/restaurant( despite being very busy specially at breakfast ). The cleaning would be the only thing that needs a bit of improving, toilet at restaurant was pretty messy sometimes! The service in our room on 1 day half done! Beds weren't done only free towel and bathroom cleaned.

« Very relaxing »

The bed was abit hard and not made very well under the top layer. The room was clean, shower was great. We wanted to retrieve my husbands reading glasses from our car and told the front of house staff who said a porter would get them we told them exactly where they were. Only to be told later they weren’t there. Well when we picked up our car the following day his glasses were right where we told them they’d be. This was annoying as he had to go and get some so he could read anything. But other that that we would consider coming and staying again.

The room was quite ok, however it’s the elevators and the commune restrooms that have affected my satisfaction level. I’m sad to say the restrooms on the left hand side of the bar on lobby ground (L3) were atrociously smelly and substandard. The lifts were also not as clean with lint and rubbish on the floor. I have grown to expect much more from the Accor group during my international and local travels.

We loved our first stay the Novotel on Collins. Great experience. From the moment we walked into the Hotel, we were courteously looked after and assisted in a friendly an professional manner for the duration of our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to be up-graded to a beautiful, spacious and comfortable King room, with a personal note from "Franzi". (The lovely staff must have read between the lines because we booked a queen room with a request for non-slip mat in the shower). The staff both at reception and foyer assisted us in our enquiries and requests and other bookings. The Breakfast & Dining staff very very attentive to clients even though there were some busy periods during service some days. Loved it!

I am extremely satisfied. From the accommodation, location and most importantly the guest experience from all staff members. I also noted the strong culture of collaboration and can-do and positivity. This was demonstrated during extreme peak periods which demanded a lot out of the staff from family, couples, groups both young in old and from varying nationalities staying. The staff all stayed positive, self deprecating and assisted each others from cross functional teams. And example is the morning breakfast, I noticed some of the front desk staff and management all helping the restaurant staff to cope with demand. Additionally, Franzi is treasure. Full of energy and always going extra every time we stay.

From the moment we checked in the staff were great. They really put in 100% to make your stay fantastic. They were very busy in this weekend but the service was still exceptional. The restaurant staff were friendly and the meal amazing. My birthday weekend was made even special with complimentary sparkling wine at the bar. This is always my choice of hotels when I am wanting a relaxed weekend away.

« Better Stay Than Last Visit »

I found the Junior suite much better value than standard rooms of previous stays. Housekeeping was VERY good - room always immaculately cleaned and well presented. My room 701 opposite the lifts was very quiet, bed comfortable and reception staff VERY nice and helpful; always cheerful and greeting me as I passed. Brekfast was great value and well presented, staff very efficient and helpful even when busy. Novotel Melbourne on Collins is now the only hotel I will stay in in Melbourne.
