Accommodation was excellent. When I booked the 2 rooms (friends were travelling with us) back in around March 2019 I assumed both rooms would be close together. Alas, they were on different floors. Surely it is not that hard when booked so far in advance that the rooms could be close!!!

The location is perfect being so close to everything great in Melbourne. The only suggestion is that when it is AFL finals that Novotel should be prepared and ensure the large screen TV is set up for footy fans especially when Melbourne based teams are playing interstate. There is only one large screen TV and the rest are up high and very small. The large screen TV does not have sound which is also disappointing. While the staff did put the large screen TV and turned the sound up from a smaller TV this was only after we canvassed the room and discovered like us many customers expecting to see the AFL screened. Melbourne is the home of AFL Footy - Novotel has the ideal location with may footy fans staying at the venue.

I do like staying at Novotel. I booked a room with 2 double beds. My son and I are both 193 cm tall. The first night we ended up with a room with 2 single. Ed’s which were somewhat uncomfortable. Not because of the length but the quality. The next morning I went to reception to request 2 double beds as this is what I paid for. I said I could have stayed at a hotel around the corner for half the price. We were given another room with 2 double beds which were very comfortable. I’m disappointed there was no adjustment in price for the mistake but was told that’s what you get when requesting 2 double beds. This booking was a direct booking with Novotel.

As above. Only additional comments would be that it would be good to have a separate sheet on the bed that wasn't attached to the doona as it became hot overnight and only needed a separate sheet. ALso restaurant food was very dry and tasteless

The concierge staff were rude upon arrival. Room looked nothing like pictures, paint peeling off door etc, not maintained well. Bad smell coming from hallway. Will not recommend to friends or colleagues

A very pleasant experience. Spacious Room and very friendly staff. One bad experience on the second night we were woken by very loud screaming which ceased after a while.

excellent service, although we were never informed that the breakfast was going to cost $35 per person and ended up with a hefty $140 bill for it at the end. beds were pretty stiff and called king size double but was just two singles pushed together with a sheet over the top.

I enjoyed the central locstion. However the cleanliness of the room was sub standard. Old slipper under bed, carpet dirty and clothes tags still in drawers. Staff seem disinterested and have lost their customer service skills.

BREAKFAST WAS NOT A GOOD EXPEIRENCE COMPARED TO OTHER HOTELS IN WHICH WE HAVE STAYED. COFFEE WAS SERVED JUST WARM WHEN IT WAS REQUESTED TO BE HOT AND STRONG. FOOD PLATES KEPT RUNNING OUT, SAME FOPR JUICE GLASSES. FOOD HAD TO BE REQUESTED TO BE REFILLED. WE HAD TWO ROOMS AS WE ATTENDED A WEDDING WITH OUR GRANDCHILDREN. PROBABLY NOT ATY WITH NOVATEL AGAIN SO MANY MORE EFFICIENT HOTELS IN CITY.

The dinning experience left a lot to be desired. I ordered a quinoa bowl and it arrived without any quinoa just a small amount of vegetables and a teaspoon of pomegranate. No discount or explanation was offered on why the star of the meal was missing. One of the most expensive meals I’ve ever had. Very disappointing.
