« Great, no fuss. »

We had one night at the hotel. We arrived before official check in time an understandably our room was not ready, no problem. Left bags with concierge and headed out for the day. When we returned collected keys and found bags had been delivered to the room, fantastic. Room was reasonable size so even with the fold out couch there was still plenty of room to move around. Kids went for a swim in the pool but much cooler than we expected but it didn’t bother them. Buffet breakfast was excellent, lots to choose from, satisfying everyone. Check out made easy and again left bags with concierge. When finally leaving we collected bags and left, no issues. Staff were friendly and great to deal with.

« Absolutely and totally rewarding a stay worth a year to save for ! »

My daughter and I first trip away in a very long time decided on Melb holiday stay. Your hotel was recommended by some friends and in particular the junior suite. We booked late and tried for a low rate room sooo happy you didn’t have one available. From the second we arrived location brilliant..from greeting to downstairs and check in easy flowing and wonderful staff that transitioned us to instant holiday and “feel at home”mood. Room was so fabulous we found it hard to leave in the mornings. On the Sunday our was flight delayed by a couple of hours and feeling totally at peace and overshopped we asked if possible get late check out your staff and one of the managers helped us extended a couple of hours which made such a difference -it completed our stay ... even gave us enough time then to have a massage downstairs and quick bite to eat without leaving hotel. Saving frantically to come back so thank you for giving us a great holiday... one we definately needed.

Friendly staff, but not over fussy. Really enjoyed our room including room service. It was a bit busy, especially at breakfast, so the second morning we did not order coffee because we were advised there might be a long wait. Great location.

« Wonderful weekend family break! »

Check in was fast and easy. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Heating/cooling system in room was difficult to operate with no instructions and a bit noisy at night. Breakfast was fantastic. Check out was a bit slow. Staff were very polite and helpful. Overall it was a great place to stay. Our young girls loved their stay as well.

I've stayed at the Novotel Melbourne on Collins a handful of times in the past for business and that encouraged me to choose the hotel for a weekend away in Melbourne. However, I was disappointed to find the hotel seemed to have declined in standards, with the level of day to day maintenance rather poorer than I remember. On the 12th floor, for example, throughout my stay I noted some packing materials poking out from a service door and along the same corridor a range of (probably related) debris on the carpets. In reality, it made little difference to the amenity of the hotel but it was a disappointing indication of overall concern for the upkeep of the property and left me disinclined to book again for business, and almost certainly not for a private stay. I also found slightly alarming the inability of the front desk/concierge to locate my stored baggage without trying a couple of locations and needing to dig deep into the storage area to find them (and they had been stored for no more than 3 hours). I do appreciate that the hotel, being conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne, attracts a high rate of occupancy on weekends but it was a far from relaxed place to be. It's worth noting that the front desk staff were friendly and helpful (and apologetic when my bags couldn't be found) but, overall, I was disappointed with this experience and disappointed with the reflection it offers on the Accor brand which is generally my preferred hotel group choice.

received lots of emails before I arrived including check in online. Not sure what that was about or why I bothered, as it made not difference to my check in. TV turned it self off in the evening. I couldnt turn it back on. Tried again in the morning, still wouldnt turn on, so I phoned front desk and staff came a fixed it. I was watching catch up news at midnight, so was disappointed when it went out. I didnt want to disturb anyone at that time, and the segment would have been over by the time it was fixed and I would have been tireder. Maybe you need a phone number on your key cards. I checked in an needed to promptly phone front desk, as someone elses luggage was in my room. I was not going to go back down to receipt, I was tired from travelling. So, I had to google the number and phone reception. Thanks.
