Needing to get maintenance to get in room safe operating was disapointing. Being charged $50 for early room access when a room was available was terrible public relations creating a perception of charging for a cost not incurred.

« The overall experience was good and up to expectations. »

We spent our wedding night here 62 years ago when it was "The Australia on Collins.' and have been back several times since to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We enjoy the ease of the valet parking, the friendliness of the reception staff and the dining room staff and especially the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine which has occurred several times. The central situation of the hotel is another favorable feature.

We chose this hotel because of where it is situated and price including breakfast. Staff at reception were efficient and friendly. The toilets that are situated near the dining room were unclean, smelly and very worn looking.

The staff at check in were extremely professional, welcoming and friendly. We loved our anniversary gifts - a big thank you!! Our room left nothing to be desired. The staff in the Dining area were attentive and helpful. The meals were first class did expand my waisT!!

We found that room cleaning could have been better, A grab rail in the shower would be ideal, OR a rubber/plastic mat,falling over in the shower is not good for the hotel guests nor for hotel reputation re culpability!

My family really love it. The location on Collin is perfect. The breakfast is excellent, and it offers a variety of foods and especially drink. However, the bed linen were not changed for 4 nights during our stay. It was getting dirty and stuffy. The pool is smaller and colder than expected but my family still enjoyed it.

Overall service great. Nice outlook in room and size. Room could have been a bit cleaner on arrival in particular shower and side of sink. Jam on magazines on arrival which was a bit disappointing and tear in duvet which left feathers in bed. Overall though a good experience. we will be back, just requires a little more attention to detail. Fanastistic reception staff and staff on entrance level.

« We had a great stay »

I noted on my booking that we were staying for my son's 9th Birthday. When we checked in the staff wished him a Happy Birthday and also had some gifts for him. He was so excited and it made him feel so special. We are very appreciative of the hotel and staff for doing this. All of the staff during our stay were friendly and helpful. The valet on our departure chatted to the kids and put big smiles on their faces. Well done to all the staff.

« We were happy with our stay, efficient and prompt service provided by reception staff when we had a air conditioning issue. »

Check in was prompt, breakfast was very satisfying. We had an issue with our air con which the reception staff dealt with though the maintenance staff did not report back to them after attempting to rectify issue. We moved rooms and had the same issue in the second room. The staff got us a fan, after the reception person tried to adjust it. The next morning it was fixed but set on 5 degrees so when we got to room we were hit with an arctic blast. I think there must be a joker in the maintenance staff. The reception staff were helpful and gave us a drinks voucher.
