We had problems finding car park and hotel access. The-hotel was dusty due to work being done. The accessibled room bed was too low. Staff friendly.

Elderly couple on holidays visiting from Australia. Overall the experience was good with comfortable bed and large TV. The renervations of the foyer were a shock when first entering but we just stayed in our room as it was comfortable.

« Lovely Hotel »

I recently stayed at the Mercure in Arras, and found it very pleasant indeed. The Hotel is being upgraded and is very attractive, with a nice restaurant and bar. It is also a short walk to the centre of Arras, which is a beautiful little town.

Hotel seemed fairly modern and well appointed but the reception/bar area was draped with plastic sheeting and workmen were busy with noisy tools during breakfast. It was an expensive and disappointing one night in a central hotel in Arras.

Good central location for trains, and battlefields. Rooms small but comfortable. Restaurant does a great breakfast and reasonable quality meals with good ambiance. Got crowded by convention group. Good service from reception & restaurant staff.

« Good location, Gloomy decor »

The hotel is well situated in Arras, near the station and city centre. It is currently being refurbished but with very dark surfaces on floors, ceilings and walls. This has the practical advantage that it will obviously not show the dirt as it gets used but it makes for a gloomy and very depressing interior. The lighting in the rooms is also very dim which may be fine in the evenings but annoying when one is trying to get ready in the mornings. I have not visited the hotel before but get the impression that the staff are not very experienced. The breakfast was good but the service much less so. This has all the potential of a very good hotel but at present it fails on a number of counts.
