Arrived by car. Noticed renovation work going on on ground floor. No issues with that as dining room already completed. Room as usual very good , clean. Left next morning after good breakfast in dining room.

« Hotel being refurbished »

Quite disappointing as we didn’t appreciate the hotel was being refurbished. We were given a privelege room which was quite nice but rather sparse. It was good to have the coffee machine and fridge and welcome drinks, however there was no air conditioning and the bed sagged. The staff were all very good and helpful and the breakfast was quite good. Car parking is close in an underground car park with access to the hotel, also you pay in the hotel.

« a good hotel »

This hotel was conveniently placed it was unfortunate that there was no proper bar while the refurbishment was going on. Good food served. The rooms were very clean but why so much black décor? I would recommend this hotel.

« Great family room »

Great family room with little touches such as colouring books for the kids and complimentary refreshments. The room was clean, location brilliant and check in/out very easy. We used as a stopover whilst travelling from the UK to the Alps and it worked brilliantly for us.

« Score reflected by ongoing refurbishment. »

Staff very helpful including service staff. Room could do with more comfortable chairs, otherwise good. Only one English TV channel, which was only available on last day after mentioning it twice at reception. Good quality at restaurant. The main problem was the building works in the lift/restaurant foyer - on entering/exiting the area power cables, wall boards, timber and metal being cut & fixed had to be manoeuvred around. There were all kinds of trip hazards - quite a health & safety issue!

« A big let down »

Arrived to find the hotel in complete choas - building work going on in a big way downstairs. I booked over e-mail and no opne bothered to mention this. We would definitely have booked elsewhere had we been given the option. Upstairs to our room, corridor was very dated, all the paint was bashed off doors, the corridor STANK of cigarette smoke. Room was clean but dated. One towel in the room which was booked for 3 guests, 1 towel in the room next door booked for 2 guests. On returning from going out for dinner the corridor smelled so bad and was seeping into our rooms, went to ring reception but our phone didn't work! Rang from next door the other room we had where the girl said it was coming form outside - it was absolutely not, the corridor had no windows. Mentioned all of above on checkout but girl didn't want to know. A complete joke to say it is a 4* hotel - a far far cry from what you would expect. We stayed in one of your hotels in Lyon the night before - spotless, beautiful - a true 4* hotel. What a waste of money.

We reported that the armchair in our room was defective; not replaced. BBC World Service was listed but not obtainable on the TV set.

« Magnifique! »

Perfect. We stayed for just one night on our way to working down in southern France. The hospitality provided by the staff was immense, the room was so comfy and perfectly placed for a nice stroll into town. The breakfast was exceptional. Thank you!

Stayed for one night on route to the alps. Convenient after getting a late Eurotunnel from the Uk as it’s only 1 hour from the terminal

« Nice hotel, good location, room is according to requirements, strange handling. »

Although the hotel is right, I do not have good experience. We got the link of the hotel to book our own stay from our company, and we were informed that we have agreed Vandemoortele rate. It was no mentioned that any special code needed, so I just wrote a message about i under booking. I could not get the Vandemoortele rate, and deposit was put to my card at arrival. At departure I payed the total fee, and after 4 days I am still waiting for the cancellation of the deposit. I have never faced this kind of handling anywhere. Additinal short note: There was not any vegetables at breakfast (or it was not visible).
