The service and check in/ check out process is very efficient. The staff are nice but hope some of the staff can be more helpful. I inquired some staff on luggage storage issue for next day. The staff said it's okay to store the luggage for us no worry on that. ( But as I previously saw on internet, people saying the hotel don't provide this service so I've asked two staff hope to ensure they can store for us or we will hv different plan with the luggage) I've asked the staff after checkin and when I back to hotel at night. Both are helpful on it and said okay to store it and we can use the locker if we've security concern. But turned out, when we check- out the staff rejected to store for us and saying no we cannot do that. He expressed in a unhelpful and uncaring way. I think which is not allied with what we got from yesterday staff? And I let him know I was already asked the situation yesterday, he is surprised and said they will only do if the locker is full and didnt show he is willing to give any further advice. understand the hotel may be support all customer for luggage storage. however, it's quite disappointed to get rejected at the last minutes by a unhelpful staff.

The location was excellent. Close to all the transportation. And the rooms were extremely quiet even though overlooking train. Never heard one train. Staff always very helpful with any questions we had.

Location is excellent, walking distance from Amsterdam Centraal and we could catch all kinds of transport to travel in to city and outside. Our room was very small, it had barely any space except the double bed. There was no chair in the room only a stool was provided, which was uncomfortable. There were no ‘glass’ glasses provided in the room for drinking water, only the flimsy plastic glasses were provided. I’m sure ‘Ibis’ can definitely afford to provide ‘glass’ glasses in the room. There was no closed wardrobe in the room, only an open hanger closet. The breakfast (at cost) was very expensive so we opted to take our breakfast outside at nearby cafes at half the cost. Ibis, Amsterdam Centraal, should take advantage of its location and need to make certain improvements to become an excellent hotel in all respects. So overall a ‘Satisfacory’ experience, not Excellent.

Pros: Great location, right next to the Centraal Station! Friendly staffs. Cons: Standard room was very small, and the bathroom will not fit a large size person! Overall, it was very good and I highly recommend it!

4 nights in Amsterdam to attend the World Airlines Road Race in Amsterdam Bos. Hotel was in a perfect location. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were perfect. Bar/restaurant in the foyer was perfect for having a meal, getting a drink or simply relaxing and doing some people watching. Highly recommended!

At first we got a super small room. Then we noticed that the outlets were not working to charge our phones. The AC was stuck and we couldnt lower the temperature. My husband called the frontdesk and they told him that the person who checked us in was not supposed to use the rooms in that area. We were then assigned another room in a different side of the building using the red elevators. Hope this never has to happen to other guest. We liked the location close to Central station.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice room,although bathroom very small. Newly refurbished bar with nice food. We had pizza,which was very tasty and one to share is plenty! The hotel is beside the train station which is so handy.

Hotel was clean, room was available early and whilst had minimal interaction with staff, they were friendly and helpful. Hotel is conveniently located next to Centraal train station and well located to explore Amsterdam. However, the room we were placed in was far too small for two adults and there simply was not enough space. This meant that luggage was left on the floor as there was no space to store it, which meant one suitcase was left in front of the door and the other in front of the bathroom door. Both pose a risk in the event that the room needed to be evacuated in an emergency. Also there was minimal hanging space (four coat hangers) that could only fit four pieces of clothing. We stayed for five nights and this room would have been ok if we were only there for a night or two at most. This room . In teh event that an emergency and then became an obstacle to get to the bathroom - this would have posed

The location right next to Amsterdam Central Station is extremely convenient and the breakfast buffet provides an ample choice of food and beverage. However, what I found inconvenient was the absence of clothes hangers and a waste basket in the room.

I wasn’t going to give u my feed back but since I received the email again to give my opinion I thought why not as as I used to love staying In this hotel and I can honestly say I don’t no wether I would come back there . It’s such a shame because It was once fabulous .ill give u my feedback and because I care truly hope for u to get it write like u once had . I myself with my partner have stayed at this hotel at least 16 times . I’m an Accor card holder and I choose to stay ibis everytime I go to Amsterdam . On arrival this occasion I arrive at the hotel early , when I went inside the reception area had gone . My time previous this was also like this but this time no one was there a few other started to appear people looking round not knowing what to do . Even elderly we confused as there is no direct area we’re u can go n check no clear sign or directions . I understand if this is ur intention to create a chilled environment well it was the complete opposite no one new what was going on . Then when finally we got one of the staff she greets us very rudely just to say u can’t check in till 3 o’clock which that doesn’t state on the website 2 o’clock yes but not 3 . I asked if the was there was somewhere to leave a bag she give me a card to room 211 for storage . When I come back at 3 o’clock same problem again no staff to help costumers standing round no one knowing we’re to go or what to do , then to be sent on goose chase for my suit case . To then when it come to check out I asked if they could hold my bag which They had done previously in room 211 to be told you’ve to use the lockers . So I pay for to locker at a cost to then have a problem with tickets being printed out for purchase of the locker to be sent on a chase again to ask how I would retrieve my bag as it’s not printed ticket I was panicking . Everything was made so complicated and not straight forward . To then have another customer come up the the girl and ask for change for a locker to store her bag to be told not to worrie to be passed a key to access a stage room up stairs . I told the girl who was assisting with the locker that I’d just asked the same question an got charged yet more money it wasn’t nice to see at all . She told me she would refund money for one of the lockers when I returned for the cases but suprise suprise she wasn’t there when I returned . Shift finished and after experiencing all the standing around I didn’t feel I could go and ask someone else and have it dealt with because no one new what was goimg on no one cared really and the staff were not friendly approachable at all .I just wanted to get my bags and go . I stated to the girl I’ve experienced nothing but incompetence and I stated that I wouldn’t be staying with the hotel again as My time was not enjoyable felt uneasy it was such a shame to be told by member of staff “ok” if this was my hotel and this was the response my staff were giving customers I would be devastated . As I says this is just my opinion . you definitely need a more detailed reception area and more friendly approachable staff On front of house .
