The renovations looked very good. The fast check-in and check-out is great, very quickly and easy. The breakfast variety should improved. This time the alarm didn't started out of nothing so that was also a good improvement!

Pleasant and helpful staff, but overall a very bad experience.

The hotel was shown on the Ibis website as having recently completed renovations. In fact the renovations were still continuing, with no restaurant or bar, a great deal of noise, chaos in the reception area, and no hint of an apology or even recognition of the issue from management. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, but the experience was very unpleasant. Maybe it will change once the renovations are complete - but be aware that the hotel is in an office park wasteland...

- Hotel restaurant is being refurbished which causes inconvenience to the guest (e.g. choices in the menu are greatly reduced). This is acceptable as long there is some notice on the website during the booking process. - Out of stock of some of the things which are normally offered during breakfast but same price. - No welcome drink offered as bar being refurbished, but no alternative offered (e.g. coupon for next weeks, free breakfast...) - Restaurant understaffed.

Ibis Nanterre seems almost out of business.

Taxi driver thought the hotel was closed at 9:15pm because no entry lights were turned on. Entry way is under renovation and totally dark. He asked a passerby "where is the hotel?". Finally I saw a light in an upstairs window, so got out of the taxi. A small sign was inside the front door (only in French) saying to go to the rear door of the hotel in the parking lot. With some effort, I found the rear entry to the hotel, which was dark but open. The kitchen was closed and no food available. I was surprised to see a few other guests at breakfast because I thought the hotel was nearly out of business.

It is hard to understand how Ibis has the boldness to accept booking at Ibis Nanterre La Defense while it is still under major renovation. The website explicitly states that the renovation would be complete by 18th August, but there was extensive, disruptive work being done to an extent which was almost comical. On arrival, the hotel appeared to be closed, with a tatty signboard outside, the restaurant and frontage under visible repair, and the space in front of the hotel covered in litter. On entering, the area by reception had random pieces of furniture, and glasses stacked haphazardly, and a stack of crates of empty water bottles. It looked as if the hotel had been abandoned. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and the rooms were fine - standard Ibis in terms of cleanliness etc. The services which the website indicated would be available - (new!) restaurant, bar, snack and drink vending - were not available, which was very inconvenient for a hotel situated in an office park wasteland. The work being done on the renovations was poorly managed - at one point we need to step over a workman who was lying on the floor by reception working on a mess of cables. The noise of renovation was also very intrusive with periodic machine noise disruption work teleconferences which I needed to attend while in the hotel. To complete the frustration, when I went onto the Ibis website to give this feedback, I found no indication of a phone line to make this call (only to make bookings) and having eventually found a complaint form it would not let me complete it without entering a mandatory field for an Accor loyalty card. I am not clear whether this was a system fault or just poor customer service, but it made me even more frustrated that I had no route available to complain. The staff throughout were pleasant, although in spite of me drawing attention to the fact that it was simply bizarre to be running a hotel under these conditions, it did not occur to the hotel manager - if there was one - to contact me and give any kind of explanation. In summary, your website was simply misleading in indicating that the work on renovation had been complete on 18th August and the service which was available was not in line with what was sold. Please advise how you intend to remedy this.

The rooms in the hotel are quite ok and also not too noisy. The staff is friendly and trying to help. Unfortunately the food is not so good: - breakfast is typically French, coffee was overly burned. Luckily they had fresh fruits. - dinner can be ordered but better not. Price is expensive and the quality is low. Some of the dishes had not been available. Drinks are overpriced, too and will not be served late evenings! So when you arrive late, do not expect to get a drink there. The location was ok for short distance to work, but around the hotel there is not much available (poor restaurants, bars). There is no gym in the hotel and currently they are in renovation that makes it pretty dirty, noisy and smelly of chemicals!

Room not very clean. stains on bedside table (from liquid). Error in booking: Staff booked breakfast while not requested. I asked to remove it (at check-in). Error on final invoice: You invoiced use of parking while I did not use it (travel by train and taxi)

The twin room responded to our requirements (except the hair dryer did not work). Considering the high room occupancy due to the Kassav concert, the service during the breakfast was hectic. Not all food was available but the present staff was doing all their efforts to remedy the demand of the clients.
