« Good location. »

This was a good stay with Novotel overall. I recommend to review the breakfast offer. I came back to this hotel after four years; I remember it being with more variety and more options. Also, the room could use touch-up as there were things in the room that were left unattended (bathroom lamps' plastic cracked on both sides, the shield of the tub would leak water on the floor, the light switch on one side of the bed was gone). The temperature in the room was very warm during the day and it was difficult to sleep at night in this temperature without the ability to decrease the thermostat. On the positive side: good food at dinner, help from the staff for directions etc, and good location to reach both work and center of Paris.

« A generally satisfactory stay which fulfilled our needs for our holiday. »

Our stay was generally satisfactory. The hotel itself had good facilities, the breakfast provided was varied and plentiful. The kitchen staff and those involved at breakfast were friendly and helpful. The staff on desk were generally helpful and informative- particularly one lady who informed us of how we could iron our clothes. However, the rooms were not placed together, even after this had been requested. The parking was not free of charge- the website I booked from stated that there was free parking. I was aware of additional charges which were stated on an email (around 88 euros), however when I arrived I was charged significantly more (200 euros) and the reasoning of this was not explained. It was also disappointing to see a lack of variety on the restaurant menu (e.g. lack of vegetarian foods), and the markup for receiving dishes on room service was deterring. The rooms had a good amount of space, and provided necessities and extras such as the mini fridge, safe, and desk- all of which were useful.

« oreall a good stay but a couple of dissapointing aspects »

first we were upgraded which was nice the flowers I had ordered arrived and were brought up to our room.second the room was nice but the tea and coffee were only replenished every other day and the box the coffee pods were in was really dusty.third I took two shirts to reception to be washed the guy at reception seemed unsure of what to do and sure enough two days later when I went looking for them they were still in the bag in the office not washed

Staff attendant to guest was excellent. Friendly staff. No reason to panic as the staffs are ready to assist with what ever quest that you have as a guest. Even if one of the staff cannot handle your query, they call on another staff who will provide an answer. This is a prof of working together. The team has a great positive energy that can be felt by the guest - I experienced it first hand.

« Comfortable Hotel With Helpful Staff And Good Local Facilities »

We like Novotel because we are a family of four with two boys and the company is one of the few big hotel chains which caters for families. The accommodation cost was reasonable (under a thousand pounds for a week in Paris in July) and as with all the Novotels we've stayed at the hotel was very clean, the rooms were pleasant and comfortable, and the staff were excellent. We picked this one because of its proximity to facilities we needed - the Metro station (Liberte) is two minutes' walk away, there is a supermarket (Auchan) next door, two separate banks with ATM's either side of the hotel, a big shopping mall (Bercy 2) with a McDonalds about twenty minutes' walk away, and plenty of other restaurants and shops close at hand. The hotel is in Charenton (Arrondisement 12), which is far enough outside the touristy centre of Paris to reduce the price (and noise) but close enough to get there in about half an hour (roughly 15 stops on the Metro). The area is just a standard neighbourhood - not upmarket but not dangerous either, and is right next to the Bois De Vincennes, an excellent park with plenty of walks and activities (and an enjoyable zoo).
