« Bland experience in a generic novotel »

The room was nice size, plenty of natural light, location good on top of a mall and a metro station. Interior standard novotel stuff - bland, check in was full of rules and could not organise late check out.

« This is my worst stay in my life »

1. No Air condition rooms in this total hotel. I didn’t sleep completely for my 5 days stay. I seen many guests fighting at the reception because NO AIR CONDITION inside the rooms. 2. Really I never seen this kind of GARBAGE breakfast in any other hotels in my 23 yrs traveling experience. They repeated the Same menus for 5 days also we never like even one food to eat. That much worse taste for every food except egg., 3) three years Before I stayed Novotel in Germany that was amazing. That’s why I choosed Novotel in Paris. But I never thought that Novotel Paris sud Porte de Charenton will be this much worse. This one hotel is enough to spoil total Novotel hotel brand Name. Please take immediate action to fix room air condition and breakfast. Really I spoiled my 5 days stay. NOTE: RECEPTION PEOPLES ARE VERY HONEST AND GOOD ATTITUDE. I MISSED MY WALLET AT THE HOTEL LOBBY. RECEPTION PERSON TOOK MY WALLET AND KEPT IT AT THE RECEPTION WITHOUT MISSING ANY SINGLE PENNY. REALLY THAT WAS AMAZING. MY HEARTFUL COMPLIMENTS TO RECEPTION PEOPLE BUT NOT TO THE HOTEL AMENITIES.,

Everything was really good excep one main thing: there was not air conditioning and it was really hot. One can not expect having problems for sleeping in a hotel because it's too hot and sadly it was like this.

The AC was broken when I have initially checked in, but as a work around, staff has provide a fan in the room. The breakfast the great, and staff there were very professional.

The only reason I have given this hotel a lower score was for the VERY POOR ventilation system. The supply of a portable fan for the room did not enhance the situation at all, it just moved warm air around.

« I was sweating even in the room.. Pathetic »

We had to wait at the hotel gate for almost half an hour as no one was there at Reception to open the gates. We were feeling very scared and terrible since we were new to Paris and if gates are not opened until morning, where will do we go. At last, after so much of call rings and bells, someone could come and helped us in the opening gate.

Nice hotel, just in front of Metro station Liberté. Easy access to city center although not close. Very good breakfast. Good prices if booked in advance. Rooms are not wide but well equipped and tidy. Hotel restaurant offer a good choice of local and international food.

« Hotel in quiet location, rooms are fine, just air-conditioning needs fixing »

It was 24-26c outside and it was impossible to get a proper temperature in the room that was pleasant for sleeping due to the fact that the air-conditioning temperature or intensity couldn't be regulated in the room. Also the room wasn't very big for a double bed and a sofa bed.

We stayed for 3 nights, in a family room, which looked much bigger in the pictures than in reality. The big bed was quite comfortable, but the sofa bed was a bit worn out and unstable. Breakfast was ok, but I would have appreciated more fresh vegetables and fruits. Service was very good, all hotel staff was very polite and helpful, they offered small gifts for our kids and were always smiling and nice. The hotel is very close to the metro station and to a very big park.

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet was satisfying. The air-conditioning in the room was not cool enough and could not adjust lower so it troubles me when we will need to return in August for more meetings. There was no conditioner in the room and when we asked for additional to be delivered, it never came. It also would be nice if there was a discount or free membership to the gym next door if staying at the hotel. The price is quote expensive with very little amenities.
