Choice of pastry at breakfast was limited, towels and soap were not changed on a daily basis ... the staff couldnot use my Accor points on my room due to some restrictions at booking time. At dinner creme brouille was not freshly made and I felt it next day for the full day.

The parking is on site but cramped. The air con did not work and despite reporting it, it did not improve. Breakfast was poor. The renovations make the entrance look awful. I would not stay again.

« Value for money »

the only point for improvement was that the breakfast was incomplete. I was relatively late (08:30) but there were no more scrambled eggs available. No indication from the waitress that this was going to be replenished. Very positive: I checked in very late (23:30) and had left my cell phone in the taxi. The receptionist was extremely helpful and supportive in contacting the driver and get me my phone returned. Well done!

« Nice neighborhood, close to the venue I was attending »

Great staff, especially at the front desk where the young lady was very pleasant and helpful. Only criticism: it was unusually hot weather for April (close to 30° C) but the air conditioning was not functioning in the hotel anywhere, too early in the season apparently.... our room was hot so we opened the window but our room was on the main boulevard so noisy all night long. I don't think it is normal to not take weather conditions into consideration to ensure guest comfort

« A great week's stay »

Check-in was painless, as was finding the well laid out, well presented room. Unfortunately I was unable to alter the air conditioning settings in the room to anything other than heat requiring me to open the windows to try to regulate the temperature. While the bed was a little hard for my personal preference, it was still comfortable, and any cobwebs blasted away in the morning by the simply incredible shower. My only other minor issue was that the wifi was a little flaky, and I struggled to connect to my work VPN.

The room was large, comfortable, really good for my wife and I. The staff was very friendly and professional. The only thing negative is that the breakfast is too expensive. Otherwise we use this hotel each time we come in Lyon, because it is very next our children home.

« Nice enough hotel but I don't smoke »

The staff were friendly and the room was nice but quite dark especially with the shadow effect on some of the walls. I did not however, appreciate being on a floor that allowed smoking as this is all the hallway smelt of and it was an unpleasant experience when going to and from my room.

Room is pretty comfortable and clean. Bathroom space is very nice and easy to take a shower . But room window is facing to main street which had a lot of noice if opening window.

The room was really OLD and Hot inside even with window open, NO AC in the room. Bad quality bed I have stay in few Mercure Hotel in LYON and was satisfied but this one didnt meet my expectations at all.

Mercure is known to be good hotels. We fully entrusted our visit at first. We had to call at 11pm to have towels. then we had a problem with lights in the bathroom that could not be fixed at the moment (close to midnight, understandable) however, the problem was not fixed when we came back the next night! Having one spotlight for the entire bathroom is a little 'light' (no pun intended) for Mercure, wouldn't you say? So we called again, the receptionist said he would try to fix something and call us back. Past midnight, we called back and he told us he could not do anything. He had forgotten about us. Poor service. Disappointed.

« Clogged Shower Drain »

We arrived at the hotel around 1pm and was told that the room was not ready yet, which did not pose any problems as we have to go out. We arrived at the hotel at around 7pm and my 7 years old daughter went to have a quick shower. To my astonishment, after 2 minutes in the shower, water started accumulating as the shower drain was clogged! I called the reception team and asked to be moved to another room immediately but since no other room was available, the receptionist requested that we sleep in that room and use another room's shower - which implies that 3 of us will be walking in bathrobes in the corridor - which was of course unacceptable!! She then offered to come and unclog the shower drain herself! I would therefore ask the hotel manager how did the cleaning team manage to clean the shower cubicle without even noticing that the drain was clogged??

« Nice hotel but problem with car parking »

The hotel was comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. We chose the hotel as a stopover driving through France because of its parking facilities. However the car park was too low for my car with top box and this was not made clear at the car park entrance or on your emails/website. The Mercure.com web site claims "Well lit parking. Private indoor parking." There is no mention of a height restriction. Also the wording "well-lit" is inaccurate as the first time we went into the car park the lighting did not come on leaving us stumbling around in very low lighting. In fact I tripped on a kerb and pulled a muscle in my arm.
