We booked this hotel because there is a pool. Upon arrival we were told the pool wasn’t open. ‘the website mentions the pool but not that it is open’ was the answer of the receptionist. In the elavator was a note that due to construction work the pool wasn’t open till half june. No mentioning of this on the website. Only due to a very member of the restaurant staff it was arranged for us to use the pool of Mercure bordeaux Lac the next day. No effort was made to come op with a sollution by the reception staff. In the first room the beds made a terrible cracking noise when exiting the bed. With a lot of arguments at the desk we got an other room (and the upgrade we were due because of our Accor gold status). All in all not a hotel to ever return to!

On arrival at bordeaux airport we phoned at 20H30 for the complimentary pickup offered by the hotel.Since no one arrived we called again 15 minutes later only to be told that somebody would come soon.Eventually transport arrived at 21H00.This hotel is only 3 minutes drive from the airport. Arriving at reception we were informed that the driver had been busy organising and cleaning up some conference room for next days session.No apology offered for the delay. Having obtained our room cards we were then told that we should hurry if we wanted to have dinner since the restaurant stopped serving at 22H00. We rushed to the room but unfortunately the room entry cards would not work. we had to go back to the reception to obtain new cards.Answer given was that normally they always function.Again no apology offered. When we finally got to the restaurant we were told that the daily menu selection was no longer available. Next day on checkout we booked for the transport back to the airport 10 minutes in advance as requested.When ready to leave at the time of 13H00 fixed by the hotel there was no transport available.It finally turned up at 13H15. We have had better and friendlier service in 2 star hotels of the same group.

We enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Mercure Hotel. It was so nice to not have to worry about getting to the airport for an early morning flight to Amsterdam.

Rooms were good and comfortable. The restaurant had a limited menu on a Sunday night. The bar and restaurant had the same staff so were a little busy. The staff were friendly.

We immediately left the hotel following check in and did not stay, due to the extremely rude staff, and the swimming pool closure

We experienced an extremely rude welcome at this hotel. We have stayed in many Mercure hotels throughout the world and have always been satisfied, but this hotel was extremely disappointing. The two members of staff were disinterested in helping us on arrival. We had been sent to the hotel by La Rochelle airport who told us they had booked rooms for us at the hotel. When we arrived the hotel informed us that they had told the airport that they did not do family rooms so that it was not possible. This was confusing for the hotel and we understand this. However it was the way we were spoken to and treated by these staff members that was unacceptable. When we tried to find a way around the problem and book in to the hotel anyway they were still unwelcoming. Once booked in to the rooms and on our way to the rooms we said that we looked forward to using the pool with our children, and only then were we informed that the swimming pool was closed. This was a great disappointment to our children and us as we had been traveling for 2 hours in a car from La Rochelle, and our main reason for booking this hotel was to use a swimming pool. One of our children has autism and requires activities such as swimming to be available. When we went up to our room we immediately realised that it was a mistake and we needed to find an alternative hotel which had a swimming pool available. I called another hotel nearby (Novotel) and returned to reception to let them know that we needed to leave. I was met with more rudeness, in particular from a member of staff named Romane who was unpleasant and seemed to take our needing to check out as a personal insult. She told me it would not be possible to check out as we had already entered our rooms - despite the fact that this was 2 minutes later. I asked politely if she would please call us a taxi, and she rudely threw down a card with a taxi number so that i should call myself. I am deeply unimpressed with these staff members - in particular Romane who clearly requires retraining on polite and helpful behaviour towards families arriving at the hotel.

I asked for a softer pillow as the tiny pillows in the room were very hard and uncomfortable- reception said there were no alternatives which I find hard to believe. Room decoration was dark and unpleasant - I paid more than was being charged by the other airport hotels so expected better. Want stay at Mercure again - bad example for the brand

Normally enjoy Mercure, but somewhat disappointed to pay a premium price, only to be advised upon arrivalbfor my one night stay that the pool was closed for renovations and the restaurant was booked for a private group. I had to go out to another hotel for a meal. No great Mercure! At least put these details on you website or don't charge such prices for poor poor service.

On arrival I was not acknowledged as a gold card customer and had to ask for my free drink and only one offered No upgrade offered, nothing added. Like other Mercure hotels and only one bathrobe and slippers in the room No pan de mie at breakfast , I asked the waitress and None left at 8.30am and none in the kitchen either Breakfast wiped out no sausage bacon scrambled egg but this was replenished after 15 mins in the breakfast room. All in all not the best experience On the plus side the evening meal was good and the restaurant staff very nice and friendly

The big problem occurred when I tried to take a shower at 3:50 AM and the cold water was off until 4:10AM. Toilet would not flush either. I did not get a shower to start my long trip home to Atlanta. Person at the front desk did not know why the outage occurred. Nor why it mysteriously turned on when I had to leave. I expect more from the Mercure and Accor hotel brand. When I asked for a room discount, the receptionist gave me credit for a beer at dinner the evening bfore

The hotel room was clean with a very good bed. We were surprised how quiet the hotel was in terms of air traffic noisw given its proximity to the airport. Car hire return is a convenient 5 minutes away with easy access. There is some internal noise from adjacent room doors but nothing serious. breakfast was mediocre but adequate.

Very unfriendly and unhelpful receptionist. Arrived mid afternoon and were told no food available anywhere in hotel or nearby, only to find out later (after ordering a McDonalds deliveroo) that the bar were actually serving a basic menu. Breakfast finished too early at 10am. Rooms dark and dingy and not very clean. On the plus side, no additional charge for extra bed in room and evening restaurant staff were good. Would not stay here again.

All good, the two things I could find fault with in our room, broken light bulb in the lamp shade next to the bed, dangerous, also the toilet extractor fan was not working. Apart from that all very clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast for France!!! Restaurant food was fair but the staff made up for this. I would stay with you again.

We spent one night in this hotel. We arrived somewhat late in the evening and were met promptly bu the shuttle and whisked away. The hotel is snazzy and the staff that greeted us were extremely friendly and gracious. We ate a delicious meal in the hotel restaurant. The room was large, and put together quite well although the velvet crush furniture reminded us of places in vegas! Really liked the lighted tree over the bed. Breakfast is worth splurging for as they have quite the spread. Excellent breads, croissants, pancakes, coffee, tea, eggs precooked or you can cook your own, spuds, an extensive fruit bar, cereal station, etc. nice large dining room and a pleasant atmosphere. We've stayed in many airport hotels and this is one of the tops in our book. Highly recommend, it wont disappoint.

We regularly stay at the Mercure Merignac, but on our latest visit our flight arrived at 2.30 a.m. We told the reception in advance and enquired whether the shuttle service would be operating. We were told that the shuttle service stopped at midnight and as there would be no taxi service, we would have to walk to the hotel. There were indeed no taxis, and the footpath to the hotel was mostly in total darkness. Frankly I expect something better from a hotel of Mercure's standing and a better and more sympathetic response than "you will have to walk".
