« Poor for business user »

Overall this was not a good hotel stay. The room had a very impractical desk area and bench chair giving me significant back ache within 2 hours of working. I asked for a room with a more suitable chair but this was refused by the lady receptionist . The room is also very dark and gloomy and has no desk light. There was also no benefit of being a platinum card holder except 1 hour check out extension which clearly the receptionist was hesitant to offer. No drink voucher either and I also notice yesterday evrning on the hotel app photos that you do have rooms with chairs with back supports so I could have been offered the option to pay for a room upgrade even if you did not want to do that based on my Platinum member status. Otherwise room clean, and no noise disturbance and reasonable breakfast. But clearly disappointing overall at the attention to a very loyal Accor client.

« Usual good standards let down by volume of people. »

Mainly good (as usual) but because of a function on the Friday night I was unable to get ANY food euther dining room or room service until after 9pm.

« Comfortable stay in a good hotel near airport. »

Checked in swiftly and efficiently and given an upgrade to a very comfortable room in time to freshen up and go down to the restaurant. Everything was as you'd expect from a Mercure, good quality fittings and a comfortable bed - plus there was a courtesy bus from the hotel to the airport a few hundred yards away.

Whilst the hotel is in a great location for the airport and the rooms clean and well appointed it was the lack of staff and waiting to be served that let us down.

Staff excellent, room excellent. My mobile was not picking up a signal at the airport so I was unable to order the shuttle from the hotel. I had to ask the Hertz representative to call the hotel for me. In many airports, there is a display where you can phone from, that is linked to the nearby hotels. There appeared to be one there but the phone did not work.

« Lovely stop over, very comfortable »

Very nice hotel. The staff were very welcoming and a nice restaurant. Our room was lovely, nicely decorated, modern bathroom and comfortable bed. I would have appreciated an extra pillow and sadly our room was situated next to the elevator, the noise from which was audible in the room and interrupted my sleep.

We have stayed here on many occasions while in transit. Despite a pleasing, decorative hotel facelift, we found the bed to be very hard and uncomfortable and the pillows likewise uncomfortable. We couldn’t have dinner in the restaurant because of a function. The bar was full and we were told there was no menu there so we ordered room service. While the food was satisfactory,we were very surprised to see that it was the already busy bartender who had to carry up our tra of food. I actually returned the tray personally to the bar because I felt it unfair to give this person another task.

Staff in restaurant spoke little english, caused issues when trying to order vegetarian food. No vegetarian main course... bed was comfortable, toilet wall needed cleaning.

Some broken or missing equipment in the room ( nothing to hang the toilet paper for example ) Some visible accumulated dust at the junction of wall and floor No staff present for the breakfast for a while, with limited buffet ( not replenish at 10:00 am when it closes at 11:00 ) missing spoon on my table, mug not 100% clean
