« Overall, this was an uncomfortable and disappointing stay. »

We have stayed here on many occasions while in transit. Despite a pleasing, decorative hotel facelift, we found the bed to be very hard and uncomfortable and the pillows likewise uncomfortable. We couldn’t have dinner in the restaurant because of a function. The bar was full and we were told there was no menu there so we ordered room service. While the food was satisfactory,we were very surprised to see that it was the already busy bartender who had to carry up our tra of food. I actually returned the tray personally to the bar because I felt it unfair to give this person another task.

Staff in restaurant spoke little english, caused issues when trying to order vegetarian food. No vegetarian main course... bed was comfortable, toilet wall needed cleaning.

« Diner was good, breakfast a bit disappointing, room not 100% clean »

Some broken or missing equipment in the room ( nothing to hang the toilet paper for example ) Some visible accumulated dust at the junction of wall and floor No staff present for the breakfast for a while, with limited buffet ( not replenish at 10:00 am when it closes at 11:00 ) missing spoon on my table, mug not 100% clean

We found the rooms very uncomfortable. The pillows were awful. Some options included foam type pillows would make the stay more enjoyable.

We wanted to be close to airport and relax before leaving next am. Restaurant had good food and attentive service, room comfortable, and airport shuttle convenient and free. Just remodeled, very nice.

« So little staff »

It took 50 minutes to be picked up from the airport. Breakfast, you had to cook your own eggs - health and safety issues. Charged for 7 breakfast on one room. Where did that come from? Breakfast was expensive and not enough staff.

While the hotel is acceptable in its category - albeit an ugly and pretentious new decoration scheme in the bedrooms, service is unacceptable in the breakfast room. I have passed the age of being given lessons in good manners by an arrogant and aggressive waitress, who doubles-up as the shuttle driver. I particularly rent being told "bonjoureuh", when in French the proper way to address a guest is "Bonjour MONSIEUR", and bearing reiterated remarks because I do not comply quickly enough with that salutation. Subsequently, the same nasty character ordered me (in sign language) to change seats in the shuttle, then gave me a lecture on good manners, and then, when I suggested she might reflect on who was paying her salary at the end of the day, started making disparaging comments about me to the other travellers. Unless you properly retrain your staff, I shall no longer visit your hotel.

As our flight into Bordeaux was a late arrival we needed somewhere to stay for one night, and this hotel was perfect. A free shuttle minibus was sent to collect us and we were welcomed with an upgrade to a Privilege room which was lovely. It was a shame we only had one night really!

The hotel provided everything we needed for an over night stop between flights.Good shuttle to pick us up.Nice room, although not quite as luxurious as the one we had for the same rate the previous week.Meal in the restaurant was very appetising.Staff all very helpful and friendly.

« The Hôtel Mercure at Mérignac met all of my requirements to perfection. »

This Hôtel has always been my first choice for Bordeaux. I unable to find fault with any of the facilities offered; the room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable and quiet and the restaurant met my requirements for an evening meal and breakfast. The service has always been outstanding in my experience.

Staff very helpful. Room comfortable. Only problem was the shower, which changed temperature a number of times without warning. Breakfast was ok but I feel service could have been more friendly.
