Customer service from all departments was excellent, check in and out very smooth. The room itself for the amount that we paid was disappointing. In the room we food a luggage lock on the window sill left over from a previous guest. There were cobwebs around the windows and one of the bath taps i had to screw on when i arrived. The carpet was quite worn in several places. The corridor leading to the room looked drab in comparison to the foyer which was very welcoming. My partner is a keen swimmer, we enjoyed the pool but were of the opinion that the tiles were quite dirty and needed a clean.

Was booked into a disabled room and had to ring reception to change was at this point room upgraded for platinum, rooms were showing signs of wear in particular the bathrooms.

« Great location and service »

I stayed for one night on business, requesting a water view room. The room was on level two just above the street but I didn't notice road noise so that was good. Windows were so dirty on the outside that the view was actually hampered by it. The room was adequate but pretty small, and could probably use some updating. There should be a USB port for charging devices. The safe was broken so I couldn't store my valuables in it, and I didn't have time to get it resolved. Front desk was efficient on check in/out. The included breakfast was great.

The customer service I received was poor. I went to reception at 12:30pm to ask if I could leave my bags at reception as I was too early to check in. Before I could finish speaking, the lady interrupted me and said ‘you are too early.’ As I finished speaking she said ok fine. She then got me to fill in a check in form (I had completed the online check in but was told it wasn’t working) and then left my bags. When I came back to check in later in the afternoon, I had to fill in the check in form again - even after I said I had already completed it twice!

We had no choice but to stay at the Novotel St Kilda. As usual when it comes to using our free nights all that is available is is crappy hotels in the suburb or Ibis. Seriously Accor is this how you treat your members.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Novotel Melbourne St Kilda, We drove there and found the parking and access very convenient. Staff very helpful and enjoyed the breakfast. The tram is at the front door so convenient to visit the City if required.

Great location, with a nice room over looking the Melbourne bay. Lots of dining options, with cool restaurants within easy walking distance. Even walked out to see the Penguins on the Pier. Car parking on site was very handy for the rental car.
