I stayed with my friend for one night, the room was compact, but clean. A kettle, hairdrier and fan were in the room. The bathroom was also very compact just about managed to get dressed in it without hitting my elbows on the walls. My only gripe with the stay was that the security guard knocked on our door at 11.30pm to tell us we were conversing to loudly and could we talk quieter. As two middle age women have a conversation at a normal level can only summarise from this that the wall between rooms must be very thin. the staff were very friendly and helpful and explained about the parking which was paid for as an extra £7 for 24hour.

« Good Location, Friendly Helpful Staff, Very small room »

Location is central to harbour and easy walking distance to Historic Dockyard and Spinnaker Tower. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a disappointment, one of the smallest most compact I have ever stayed as was the bathroom (more like an IBIS Budget). Breakfast choice was good consisting of a hot and cold choice, however the hot was cold/luke warm and therefore not very appetising. Overall for the price on a Sunday this was expensive and did not compare well to other hotels we have stayed at.

« Inexperienced staff and total lack of customer empathy »

What a disappointment. Am a silver card member. Stayed here 2 years ago and very satisfied hence booked again on a return to Portsmouth. Check in was a disaster. Paid on check in (why, as other Accor hotels don't require this?), but card not authorised to charge food to my room. So had to pay separately. Restaurant food poor. Check-in staff forgot to charge car parking so had to be done separately. Noted car parking is now out-sourced with hotel not accepting liability for errors (poor).Asked where hotel was on map, check in had no idea! Why is everything done on Iphones? Technology to help the hotel but not the customer. Seemed to be totally run by students. Avoid this Ibis!

When arriving into the room, I was very surprised to see how small it was. The door could not even open properly as the bed hit it. The bathroom was small and long, my friend couldn’t sit down on it. To unfortunately add, the shower didn’t work either and no other room was available so I could wash! I spent over £75 and paid for an awful room overall.

Perfect until last day when Gabriella argued that we had not paid for breakfast I had to go to room and get paperwork she then said I had given wrong room number and refused to accept it was her mistake and wouldn’t apologise until I insisted

The hotel waas clean and comfortable (on a very cold evening). The staff were all friendly, but poilte and professional. And the breakfast was on a par with what you would expect in a mid-budget hotel. Very staisfied and would definitely book again.

It was not a very good experience as expected, the staff were very helpful and courteous,the reception areas very good,but the there was a lot of noises overnight from the student night parties, it was very disturbing mostly from the side of the hotel given to us. The room is not roomy and the toilet and bathroom very small. It was extremely difficult for me to have shower during the stay. It was very far below my expectations.

« Slightly disappointing for the first time. »

We were disappointed for the first time after many stays at this hotel for two reasons. Firstly, the breakfast area was untidy and unclean, both the tables and food serving area. Also, we were horrified to witness two staff cuddling and stroking a dog then carrying on with their work in the breakfast area. The second reason was that we had booked an advance saver bed and breakfast deal as an Accor member with the 5% reduction and yet the hotel rate that day for the night with breakfast was cheaper. So there was no financial advantage in booking in advance, only a risk that I may have to cancel and will already have paid. This was not an 'advance saver ' deal at all!!
