I've stayed here a few times over the past 4-5 years and always enjoy it. It's very central-v close to New Street Station/Bull Ring shopping and the theatre and the v busy nightlife in the area. Good rates-great staff-well kept - and well priced-esp for such a cozy room-even came back early one wet night of my stay and in bed by 2230-woke at 0900 the next day !! Enough said !Always my first choice in Birmingham

very clean and staff helpful, the only thing was they seemed to not have milk and to have to request from bar, but they did give us some fresh milk, which was good! Lovely breakfast with really yummy sausages!

Although on our arrival there was a lot of activity near the reception area we thought that our stay might be disturbed with a lot of noise. However on our return later in the afternoon to check in we were greeted very nicely by one of the reception team. Efficient check in and the return of our bags (which we left for storage earlier) we found our room - nice and comfortable. Breakfast was superb after a good nights sleep.

Excellent stay, very happy with everything. Wonderful staff, very helpful and extremely friendly, they are what made the stay so pleasurable. The only 'room for improvement' I found was the queue for the elevators at busy times. Quite a few people would have used the stairs but it wasn't obvious if there were stairs available for a non-emergency situation. Perhaps this could be looked at.

It was clear that it is well known that this room is subject to noise disturbance from the night club opposite, but no warning was given. The totally inadequate, complimentary earplugs do not go close to addressing the problem. I appreciate there is nothing you can do about this, but had I known I would probably not have booked the room. Unfortunately I am left with the impression, it is this risk that prevents prospective guests being forewarned.

All of the staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming whenever we asked questions they knew the exact answers they were extremely apologetic as one of our rooms wasn't quite ready it was just really nice to stay there

My partner and I stayed in room 226. I should have known we were in for a noisy night when there were earplugs on the bed side cabinet!!!! We could not get to sleep as it was so noisy from outside the hotel, but not only that we could hear the lift talking in the hallway all night! The breakfast was awful the next day so we left completely dissatisfied and it ruined our trip to Birmingham :(

Our first time staying in an ibis hotel and it was a great experience! Huge room, absolutely perfect staff, nothing was too much trouble. We felt comfortable being there and the staff made us feel very welcome, and genuinely so, you can tell when people plaster a smile on their face because they are being paid to be nice, but to the staff at ibis it was completely natural. We were nicely surprised to have been selected as "Guest of the day" which meant a complimentary drink and free breakfast. There was even a chocolate bar each waiting for us in the room when we checked in. The only disappointment was that we were only there for one night! Will definatley be back, well done ibis!

I stayed at the hotel with my friend in a twin room with a wheelchair friendly wet room. The room was very spacious with plenty of room to get myself around in my wheelchair, the wet room was very good with a seat in the shower and handle bars where needed. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice for both hot and cold food. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially the lady at breakfast who offered to carry my plate for me and made my drink for me. Next time I go to Birmingham I would book this hotel again.

The location was great and the staff were helpful. However, I do think there should just be a reception I felt staff were balancing an iPad a card machine as well as swiping a card for our room keys. I felt if they had a desk it would make the whole experience of checking in less chaotic.

The hotel is located near the centre of Birmingham so, even on the 4th floor, there is a some noise from the surrounding pubs and nightclubs. Staff were polite and helpful.

« Great stay but checking in was not great »

As a regular yearly visitor when booking I always request the quiet side but upon checking in I was told I wasn’t on the quiet side and they could move us but our room wouldn’t be ready till after 2pm they young man seemed irritated and some what unhelpful
