Our second visit to this hotel and once again we were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to ensure everything went well. I have marked 'sleep quality' as poor because our slumber was interrupted when a group of young men returned to their rooms at about 05.15 on the Sunday morning and ensured everyone else was aware by running up and down the corridor, shouting and banging their doors.That apart, the room was clean and comfortable and the hotel offered the usual Ibis hospitality.Anyone travelling to this hotel by car, however, needs to be aware that the hotel has a very small (secure) car parking area and spaces are limited. The hotel confirmed before our arrival that parking could be difficult and we got the impression that once we had a space, we could come and go as we pleased. However, this is not the case and you may find that there is no space on your return. This turned out to be no problem as the hotel staff were able to point us in the direction of alternative parking areas, the cost of which was deducted from our final bill. Perhaps the management might consider offering guaranteed spaces on a 'first come-first served' basis?

too warm in the room, too cold in the bathroom and a air van that was making such an incredible noise that it prevented me to sleep. Changin a room was not possible and I was told to put wc-paper in the van to lower the noise...

The hotel front desk staff was very helpful and helped me to strategize a way to get to my London flight connection (out of Belgium) when my flight was cancelled during the recent baggage strike. Their kindness aside, the hotel is centrally located and clean. The walls are thin or underinsulated in that I could hear people talking in the hall as though they were in my room. When an adjacent room showered or flushed their toilet, my toilet gurgled.

Comfortable, but the walls are thin and therefore, noise transmit through. The car park is a squeeze and there is no access from the car park to the hotel without going through the car park road.

Nice stay, good location, meet expectations from Ibis hotel. AC did not look like it was working, therefore a bit warm in the room, but we did not raise this issue to the front desk.

« First room offered 217 (Single, Fire Escape) was not what I expected - after I was moved to room 110 my experience changed to excellent. Staff very helpful. »

I booked a twin bedded room through central reservation at a cost of around 123 euros (approx £109) with GOLD card. I checked in on line during the afternoon giving my full credit card details as I expected to be late. In reality I arrived at 18.00. Reception had no record of my on-line check in so I had to pay at the desk. I normally pay in local currency as my bank only charges a exchange rate fee. However on this occasion I decidied to pay in £UK - this turned out to be a £5.00 more on the price quoted by central reservation. The staff were very helpful in changing my room and providing the welcome drink -thank you. The room was fully equipped and very comfortable. I am still concerned by the possibility of being charged 3 times fot the room 1) from the check-in inforormation EUROS 2) At check in in UK Pounds and 3) labelled as fast checkout by email EUROS . I contacted ACCOR Customer Services but as yet have not had confirmation that only one payment for the room was taken. AT THE SAME TIME I ENQUIRED WHETHER A PHONE COMPUTER POWER PANK WAS FOUND IN ROOM 110 (Labeled "World Courier". It may have dropped from my briefcase. If found it would be I feel very relieved that I was able to move from 217 to 110 as would have been quite ill from the fumes generated by the workmen reroofing the back of the hotel as I suffer from Asthma. I was quite uncertain

Overall it was a good stay and the staff was friendly and supportive. Check in and out were quick. Breakfast was good. Location is perfect as (mostly) everything is within a walking distance. Minor comments: 1. As I couldn't open the window during night since it also serves as a fire exit, it got very warm in the room that I couldn't sleep. And the AC could only be turned on to cooling via the main central room in the reception and so I have no control of the room temperature. 2. There is no safe in the room itself. 3. Due to a problem in the music player, there was no lounge music the whole period I stayed in the hotel. A bit unfortunate. 4. While the breakfast was good, varieties from time to time would be nice.

Nice location, nice and efficient staff. Comfortable bed, and generous breakfast. The rooms are quite worn out however, and I experienced an intense bad smell (sewage I guess) in the bathroom during the whole stay.

« The worst business hotel experience »

It was awful. The bathroom fan never turned off and was loud keeping me awake. The aircon wasn’t effective and the room was very hot. I was locked out of my room because the lock wouldn’t accept the key. Two trips to reception and the maintenance person was called while I waited 1 hour in reception, missing my business conference call because my computer and headphones were in the room. The reception guy did his best but couldn’t help with a broken door lock. I barely slept because of the fan noise and heat and it made my business meetings difficult. For the price it was very poor.
