I did not spend much time in the hotel. Bathroom tiny. Bed good. Found some hair on floor and in shower from previous guests. Housekeeping need to be more thorough

Lovely clean .beds comfortable...but very small rooms ..but good value overall for price..staff friendly ...especially Damien the bar man he was lovely..nice position....short 10 min stroll to town ..would stay again...be nice if there was tea and coffee in rooms.

« Much worse than my previous experience from two years ago »

Around New Year's Eve 2017 I was also a guest of the same hotel, but that experience was incomparable better that this one. Our room was 337 and it had the following bad qualities: - the doors of the shower cabin allowed water to get to the bathroom floor even when the doors were closed. This combined with the lack of drainage of that spilled water meant that I had to wipe all the excess water myself. - the perfect acoustic of the bathroom that was comparable to the Gent Opera Hall meant that the person in the room could hear every single noise a person in the bathroom would do during any bathroom related process. The bathroom door had 3 cm open space at the bottom margin. Whether the door was firmly closed or completely open the acoustic was the same. Perfect! - the air conditioning unit was really noisy. When I travel I try to stay as little as possible in the hotel room, because I want to experience the outside towns. However, in this case, the bad experience at Ibis Gent Centrum Opera really kept me outside in the town more than I wished.

« Good location, nice hotel »

Friendly & helpful staff. Good location just south of city centre - a short walk to the centre. Tram stops right outside connecting to both centre and Sint Pieters station. Entrance lobby and bar/breakfast area very contemporary. Rooms a bit dated. Bathrooms very tight on space. Signs up apologising for any disturbance from works being undertaken, which may be related to these issues, although I didn't notice any works when l was there.

I thought it was nice for the rate, but I have to say at least 2 small washcloths for showering would have been very accommodating. Maybe the possibility of a mini-fridge is pushing it, but it would have been great to put a couple beers snacks in there when relaxing...

THe location is wonderful but the room was really small. The bed was too soft so we hurt our lowerback. There was a different smell in the room. But apart from that the linens were clean. However I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else.

The stay was ok. All facilities offered were available. Location was good. But the room was very very small, walls were thin, so that the room felt like a box and I left with my back full of flea bites(!), probably because pets are allowed in the hotel.

Simple booking process. Central location. Center within walking distance. Tram stop in front of the entrance. Fast check-in. Friendly staff. Room functional, but small. Bathroom very small. Breakfast in good (typical) IBIS quality. Good service at the bar (thanks to the Canadian bartender). Garage very tight (but mandatory for lack of other parking areas).

This was my 3rd visit to your hotel and I would recommend it. As my daughter is now at Gent University I expect to visit more often. My only wish is that you would have a kettle in the bedrooms.
