« EXTREMELY HIGH TELEPHONE CHARGES WITH NO PRIOR KNOLEDGE OF THE BILLING RATES. »

On the afternoon of the 27th of November, I tried to call to Athens from my room but because the telephone was inactive, I was told from the reception that I had to "commit a warranty" with my credit card, in order make a call. I asked if 10 € was enough and got a positive answer and in my question what is the charging rate for the telephone call, I got the answer: I do not know, it depends on the country you are calling. Considering the acceptance of the 10 € as a warranty, and knowing that within the European Union the telephone charges are in a reasonable level, I made three (long) telephone calls. Next day when I asked how much do I have to pay for the telephone, I got the unpleasant surprise of the 163,68 €. I asked again what is the charging rate for the telephone call, I got the same answer. In the room there was NOT any relevant information available, except the " phone units:0,75€" under the evacuation plan, behind the door, and also NO information is accessible in your website. If I knew upfront the extremely high rates, I would never made the phone calls. I believe that this lack of information is not in purpose. I strongly complain for the extremely high amount for my telephones, with the rational that I was NOT in a position to know upfront what was the billing rate. Nice stay with no complaint. Good environmental practices and less fuss. Good with do it yourself concept. Near to Brussels center tourist attractions, 200m away only. Lots of food oulets, shopping shops, etc. Tried the traditional dishes, mussel and Beef Schnitzels. Excellent!

The ONLY complaint I have was that there was only 1 out of 2 elevators for the 6 (six!) nights that I stayed there. It is not safe to carry heavy cases in the stairwells.

This hotel is located within a few meters of several good places to eat and a very short walk to the Grand Place. It's a comfortable place to stay our only comment is that the bathroom is extremely small. Breakfast was good.

I have stayed with other Ibis hotels frequently and generally appreciate their mix of budget and quality reliable service, but the facilities of this hotel are really not sufficient. It does feature Friendly and helpful staff, though we were not called back when we attempted to arrange a group reservation despite reaching out several times. The Ibis online booking system itself was difficult to use and not very flexible (maximum of 7 bookings at once, no ability to book a group for different number of nights). The beds were too small - several of our 13 booked guests complained to me about this. Basic facilities were not available - a hotel room without a safe is not really acceptable. One of the elevators was broken from when I arrived on Thursday until the day I left, the following Wednesday, requiring everyone from all 5 floors to use one cramped elevator. The breakfast space is also extremely cramped and required guests to awkwardly move around each other. The rooms are also noisy, with a lot of noise from the hall. On the positive side, the location is excellent.

Excellent location within walking distance of many sites. Within stone's throw of many restaurants (some exceptional!) and pubs. Hotel clean and friendly but bathrooms very small. Breakfast bar at times chaotic and sometimes items run out and take a while to be replaced..

We came to this hotel to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Unfortunately, the negative things that we discovered, destroyed all our mood and we were more than happy to leave this hotel : 1. In the middle of November, there was not any single heating system in our room. There was only broken AC which was very old and didn't work. Room was very cold and we were freezing. We were obliged to sleep with our clothes on. 2. Room was not clean at all when we entered in, bed linens were smelling horrible, the towels were not replaced. We were obliged to buy our own towels and bed linens. 3. The bathroom was too small and dirty. We found full of hairs on the ground. Someone before us shaved and left all the hair on the ground. We found urine traces in the WC. 4. One of the elevators was not working: only one elevator for everyone. We didn't see the elevator during our stay. 5. The price was too high for this horrible quality. They scammed us! It was a stealing! Actually, we came to this hotel to clean our room, not to visit the city. We didn't inform the employees of this hotel about all these problems during our 2 nights stay because they had nothing to do. We were disgusted by dirty room and linens. How could we trust them a second time? The problem is coming from management, not from the receptionists or housekeepers.

Hotel offers basic but nice rooms, which include all one needs on a short stay. Room was clean, bed comfortable, with a nice view to St. Catherine church and NW part of the city (6th floor). Warm water from dispenser has a strange odor otherwise the bathroom is a bit tiny but again, clean. Staff at the desk and in the dining (breakfast) room are very helpful and friendly, breakfast itself is basic but it meets all my needs. Location is great, few minutes walking to Grand place, a bit more to the Central train station, and with the closest metro station 2-3 minutes walk away.
