Geachte Paul S., Wij stellen uw opmerkingen over uw verblijf in ibis Koeln Centrum erg op prijs. Het spijt ons zeer dat u zich niet 100% comfortabel voelde in ons hotel. Om constructieve redenen hebben de kamers, inclusief de badkamers in het ibis Hotel Köln Centrum, een oppervlakte van 13,4 m² en zijn ze iets kleiner dan een ibis standaardkamer. Toch hoop ik dat je tevreden bent met onze gastvrijheid. Hotel location close to where I need to go. Quick check in. Ok room for one person. Would have been a bit small for 2. Small bathroom. Ok for the price paid.

I stayed two weeks for a business trip. The room was comfortable, and slightly larger than expected (though the bathroom was small). The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have seen! The only negative aspects were noise from the street, and the fact that the soap dispensers in the bathroom were broken - and not refilled when empty.

Very good and was very happy i could check in earlier. Hotel was a bit noisy and I found it weird that there were no tissues or anything like that? Or a water boiler? Nonetheless, fun experience and good location; I'll definitely come more often when I'm in Cologne for work!

The room had average comfort and was more than enough for a short stay. The reception was not very helpful and friendly. We did not get informed by local time setting which might have led us unexpected results.

Slightly better than average budget hotel environment. The staff were pleasant and the room was clean and adequate. It would have been very good value if we had paid a 'budget' hotel price, but Ibis put their prices up to well above £200 night because Cologne was a bit busier than usual. I think that is complete profiteering and taking advantage of customers.

Overall, we were satisfied. The location is very good. The rooms also responded to our needs. despite the Carnival celebrations and atmosphere, nicely surprised no night noise in the corridors. Breakfast good and more generous than some 2 stars hotels. Nowadays, one employee or worker needs to take care of more work tasks than before. I experience this symptom in nearly all business domains. However, it is not easy to meet reception staff who welcomes you a bit more personalized. The attitude is correct and polite, but do not ask more (that is how I feel). Having myself worked in several hotels in London, the friendliness of the reception staff was imminent as the reception image reflects the whole hotel business. Being human and comprehensive, I am not fussy with this detail. Everybody can improve. Upon check out date, the lady who served us the 1st time a couple of drinks when we collected our suitcases, was to me the 2nd person who was friendly and willing to help. Clean, well located but rather expansive for what remains a very basic hotel. The rooms are not soundproof so you'd better take earplugs because you here people next door and in the coridors. Breakfast is 12 euros per person and you would think that for 100+ euros a night it would be included!

This hotel is really good far enough out of the centre to be quiet but the tram virtually outside was only 4 stops to the centre. Unfortunately the trams are not accessible for wheelchair users so we had to get a taxi to the centre but we walked to the centre the next day and it was only a 15 minute walk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a budget but clean hotel
