Quick stay, hotel coming out of some refurbishing. I found cables pending from the roof in the second floor on Sunday evening. Accessing the "parking" by car is a roller coaster as the street is ondulated. The access from the parking spots to the backdoor of the hotel is less than comfortable.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the traces of the ongoing renovation and the conditions of the street leading to the hotels back side. Unfortunately the workers involved in the electrics on the second floor forgot to close the corridor ceilings and left the cables hanging. I can assure your, that at no point our guest have been facing any risk but of course, this situation is not acceptable under any circumstances. We already adressed this issue to the company involved. Regarding the street leading to the hotels parking spaces I sadly have to inform you, that this street is totally owned by Deutsche Bahn and therefore our possibilities in influencing the conditions are very limited. I've been informed, that in the next few months the the holes should be filled and corrected and the "roller coaster" wave is supposed to be fixed within another project by the beginning of next year only. We still hope you'll give us a second chance to show you, that we can do better and welcome you back to our hotel. With kind regards, Andreas Kahl General Manager

The room was nice and clean and overall we had a good experience. Some things that were a bit annoying though, was that the wifi did not seem to work on our floor and there was no way to block the bathroom window from view from the scaffolding outside it.

Staff was extremely helpful. I left my electronic reader in the room at checkout and contacted the hotel to see if they had find it. Not only they responded back but they did everything they could to get it back to me. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was also very practical to have a bigger room (handicap) for our young adults siblings (sister and brother) traveling with us. That way they had more privacy than the regular room.

I was there for working, and I was very sick. I was first given a room where you could only hear the drilling of the workers outside, and when I wanted to change clothes for work, there was people walking right outside my window. They gave me a new room which it seemed to be not as bad (still noisy), but then in the early morning, after working very late, and having a horrible night with fever and having hardly slept, I was woken up by banging and construction noise. When I was getting dressed again to go back to the conference, there were people working right outside my window. I had to be most of the time with the drapes closed, as if I was staying in a shoe box. I had no privacy at all, I had a horrible headache because of all the noise, I couldn’t rest, overall I had a horrible stay. And I was not compensated in any way! Over all, everything that I needed from you (sleeping and privacy, that is not a lot to ask) was not provided.

Ibis promotion reputation depends on assessment of Value. One knows on booking to forego the standard "frills" of competitors such as coffee/tea-making facilities, tissues, soap/shampoo, refrigerators, and perhaps separate desk or space around in order to get a basic room at a basic tariff. I was not prepared however for a toilet facility that was squeezed into a tight corner that didn't permit basic functions and I doubt met standard accommodation requirements. Even this inadequacy might have been overlooked had not an enquiry to extend by one day to include Tues 14 May 20 reveal a new tarriff of 195 Euro for that night. Scandalous, given the conditions and under-construction lift etc. No Value for money there. We moved elsewhere for the next 4 nights. Goodbye Ibis

Generally good. The construction (which obviously is unavoidable) impacted the stay. The elevator looked really run down and I wondered about dust with all the plastic covers outside my window. fortunately the bull's eye window in the bathroom was unobstructed and I could get some fresh air. The rooms were really quite small. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a good one night stay in Ibis-Hauptbahnhof-Heidelberg. The room was the smallest we have ever experienced, but everything was fine. The mini bathroom was clean, the shower OK and we sept very well. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is not a hotel where you would spend several vacation days.

The Hotel is currently under renovation, which is not disturbing until you want to sleep in. We had a renovated room that was efficiently set up and had all the things neccessary for a short stay. The pricing for a sunday to monday stay was ok - while an extention for an additional day will hit with 100 % increase. That is by no means acceptable.

The room smelled like smoke and there was construction outside of my window. I had to put a towel up in the bathroom to block the window there and prevent anyone from looking in. The girl at the front desk was really nice.
