The stay was nothing special really. The room was basic with a not to comfortable bed in it and a lack of pillows and sockets beside the bed. Breakfast was impossible with no space available on the few times I tried to go in. Eventually I gave up and went elsewhere.

We at ibis are quite proud of our „sweetbed by ibis“ concept which is normally one of the things admired most by our guests. In case you need additional pillows it is no problem to ask for one at the reception and they will give it to you immediately. Not only that – things like this will be solved in 15 minutes according to our “15 minute satisfaction promise”. We are very sorry for you not enjoying our really good breakfast with a lot of ingredients. It seems strange you did not find a place to sit down as we prepared an additional room for the “rush hours” during the pre-christmas season. « Short but sweet »

We found the location ideal in many ways. The room was clean and comfortable. The only minor issue we had was the lack of a kettle for making hot drinks. We would happily have swapped the TV for a kettle and two cups. Apart from this, we were very satisfied with the hotel. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful.

Good in general, I was living almost a month and had a lot of stuff in the room, therefore asked to clean it only couple times a week. However even after the weeks living there the personal didn't decide to change the bed and did so only after direct request. The water supply is very noisy, the flow begins to resonate with the tap all the time. But the personal at the reception was always nice.

Maybe this was a misunderstanding because normally the rooms should be cleaned on a daily basis (the longer stays, too).The bed linen is changed every four days or upon request - the room maid or receptionist should have informed you about that...sorry if this did not happen. Good hotel for anyone who wants something close to the train station for a night or two. There were many food options around the hotel and my room wasn't the freshest, it smelt of smoke.

Did you tell our staff members that something was wrong? We are very strict in regards to the goods we use in our hotel - especially when it comes to food and beverages. Therefore, we are very interested in this case and would like to know more about it. In case of your breakfasts it seems we did not receive the information that you did not made use of it the second day. It is highly neccessary to tell our staff members directly so that they can deduct the not-used items from your bill. Very helpful staff, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was superb. Although the next day in the evening I noticed myself and son had a large number of insect bites. These must have been picked up in the hotel or on one of the three DB train s we traveled on to Hamburg.

« Good but needs an overhaul »

I have stayed here many times and the staff are always very pleasant but as the years go by the hotel seems to be needing a refurbishment. For example the air conditioning never worked very well, but now has very little effect on room temperature.
