The room and the shower were clean and organized. The breakfast was very poor! Such a breakfast is a good reason not to stay at your hotel again. One small thing that disturbed me is that there is no drain hole out of the shower stall, hence the shower is full of water after the shower without an option to drain it.

Booked this hotel as I had stayed here a few years back. Very reasonably priced considering it's central location in Versailles. The check-in was efficient and the staff friendly. The room, although small was clean and comfortable. We didn't eat in the hotel but it's location is good for a variety of restaurants in the immediate area. The only negative for me was the car park security. To enter with a car you push a button and a member of staff opens the electronic gate. To enter the pedestrian access is the same method but via a door near the Hotel. There was no questions or discussion through the intercom to find out who wanted access and it seems that anyone could do this. Maybe the old system of a code was better as without that access was impossible. I'd happily stay here again though.

« Location and service were excellent, but the room was very small »

On arrival the staff were helpful, the hotel and our was clean, and the breakfast facilities were excellent. Our only adverse comment concerned our room. This was clean and well kept but was very small, little space to place and hang our clothes, and a very tight fit in the shower/toilet. For our short stay of three nights it was just about adequate, but would not be adequate had we been staying for a longer period.

« Fast arrival from Germany via TGV and Metro/RER from Paris Est Train Station »

I appreciated that the Hotel was well reachable from Germany, taking the TGV to Paris Est Train Station, then the Metro then the RER. However, we had to take an expensive taxi to go to work at Elancourt and back. I would have liked to take public transportation to Elancourt, but there aren't. Or to rent a rental car, however they were not close to the Hotel. So I might look for another solution. The bath room is extremely small, nothing for larger people. The staff was friendly. I lost some time in the morning waiting for the boiled eggs, but the machine was not switched on by the staff.

When we travel we tend to use IBIS hotels as the standard is generally very good and we know we will get excellent service. This particular hotel in Versailles had one draw back and that was the rooms were very small. Room for clothing was minimal and the shower room was quite 'snug'. for the short time we were there it was OK but would not have been sufficient if our stay had been longer.

« Great location, bathroom leg room less than on an airplane »

I stayed at this Ibis in Versailles a very long time ago, when it was a lot less expensive and larger rooms and especially bathrooms. I could not believe that when I stayed here this time the bathroom was so small that when I sat on the toilet my knees touched the door. The shower was adequate size but the rest of the bathroom was smaller than on an airplane, which is unacceptable at the price for the room. I have stayed in budget hotels in France for 1/3 the price with more room than in this hotel bathroom.

I would have rated my stay much higher, but for the fact that the bathroom flooded when I took a shower. The water simply poured out onto the floor in a very large amount. Also, the sink was extremely slow to drain. Finally, the coffee maker in the room was of no use since no coffee had been supplied!

« Very convenient location »

The hotel is in a great location for the station and the palace. Our room and bathroom were very clean although compact. The bed was vey uncomfortable! The mattress was lumpy and twice as thick at one side compared to the other! We also noticed a plastic bag wrapped around the smoke alarm/sprinkler ( not sure which) over the bed! Finding the hotel car park was difficult, fortunately we arrived in the evening when traffic was slightly less so we could park on a road nearby, walk to the hotel and get directions.

« Stepped up to Superior Room »

I've stayed at this hotel many times on business trips. I like the location close to train stations, Starbucks, lots of good restaurants. On this short trip I decided to step up to a 'Superior Room'. It was very nice, more room than the standard room with a larger bathroom that included a bath tube. Also in room coffee maker, and small balcony. Well worth the extra money.
