« Stepped up to Superior Room »

I've stayed at this hotel many times on business trips. I like the location close to train stations, Starbucks, lots of good restaurants. On this short trip I decided to step up to a 'Superior Room'. It was very nice, more room than the standard room with a larger bathroom that included a bath tube. Also in room coffee maker, and small balcony. Well worth the extra money.

Perfect for visiting Versailles Palace. Everything was great but rooms are small. Particularly the bathroom. Not great for anyone with mobility issues. Comfy bed though.

« Ridiculous to switch off air conditioning »

Location good, room very small likewise bathroom. Despite it being October the weather was 26C during the 2 days we were there, and the room never cooled below 20C at night while we were there. Tried to switch on the air conditioning - one of the reasons I had booked. This did not work. When Iasked at the desk the male on duty (manager perhaps? - man with glasses) said that it was turned off because "it is winter". I pointed out the tepmperature - he replied "It's winter". I said that this was madness to which he replied it was company policy to switch off the air con in winter, and "It is winter". Room was way too hot to get much sleep either night. As a result our wedding anniversary trip was ruined and our stay was not relaxing at all. I note your 15 minute satisfaction guarantee - the complaint was not resolved in 15 minutesm, I have complained to Ibis and await your reply with interest

Central location. Excellent staff. Superior room very good. Good bed. Had simple dinner in hotel each evening. Underground private parking very convenient. Hope to return. One problem in Room 401 and 403: shower floods bathroom and needs immediate remedial action.

The location of the hotel is just perfect, wrt. the Château de Versailles. In the morning, I have been woken up by a maid trying to enter my room. It was my only night, I had already paid, and I was not having breakfast at this time. Hence, it would have been easy and cool to assume that I was still in bed, rather than waking me up for some unknown reason. This made the morning unpleasant, in spite of a good breakfast.

This was my third time there and as always, was very pleased. After a chilly night the heating was turned on first time this autumn and everything was fine. Breakfast is more than enough, there is something for everybody. bit of wear and tear is visible, but who cares as the hotel is so close to the Rive Droit -railway station and rue Saturoy's bars and restaurants!!

Good points: 1. Centrally placed - idea for visiting Versailles chateau etc. 2. Secure garage. Could be better! 1. Very small room. Photos on the website were accurate, but didn't show how they were placed in relation to each other. No definition of room area, although the "superior" room is listed as (from memory) 25 sq.mtr. Very little storage space for clothes. 2. Breakfast was pretty mediocre. Cooked ham was running out; no cooked breakfast options. 3. Relatively expensive - maybe because it was the Ryder Cup week. In short, OK for a night or (possibly) two, but no longer. I'm being generous - I should add that my partner thought the hotel was terrible.

« Amazing staff!! »

When we arrived, it was extremely late at night, we had been lost for over an hour and been traveling the past 8 days. Franco welcomed us warmly and when we couldnt find a restaurant, he made us a delicious dinner. The room was comfortable and clean. We would definitely look to stay in more ibis hotels!
