« felt like being descriminated »

What the hotel staff said and how they treated guests differed depending on a g.. (could be depending on where you are from) When I found it out and complained, one tried to make excuses. And there were 4 or 5 staff at the reception when I arrived, but no words/smile of welcome. Hotel staff should treat guests nicely! and equally! Also false information on their home page.

First of all, I'm a customer of Accor for a long time. I never had any issues at any of the hotels of the brand, until this stay... By mistake, I left my tablet and its charger in the room, and just noted when I arrived home in the same day of the check-out. I contacted the hotel since then, and they didn't find my tablet! The final answer was "sorry we cannot help you...we trust our staff". It means that I lost my tablet with precious data and Ibis will not take any responsibility for that... I hope we find a solution for this, otherwise Accor is losing a leisure/business customer (maybe not so important for them)...

This stay was very bad for some reasons. I'm a customer from Accor so I know how it's their accommodations, specially at Ibis. This one is below their level. First: the Air conditioning was not working in the European summer! More than 30 °C and they offered me a small fan. After some discussions, a bigger one was found and could partially solve the issue. After my check-out I drove back home, and when I arrived in the same day I realized that my Samsung tablet stayed in the hotel (charging). I contacted the hotel several times, and the answer was

The air conditioner wasn't working and the only one small AC that was in the room was broken and started to push water everywhere in the room in the middle of the night which lead us to turn it off. the Receptionist was all but professional, no explanations no attention, nothing, unfriendly and when asked about the breakfast time answered with one word "10h" and went back o talk on his personal phone with his friend.

A/C was not working and this point was not noted on Accor Hotels' website during booking. I booked for 2 nights. So I decided to spend only 1 night. When I informed the hotel about this point, the manager did not accept to pay me the second night... I'm a Gold client with Business Plus card...

Starting with the reception the staff was not really welcoming although check in was professional. The room : enough space for 3 people, good bedding. No mini fridge, no safe box. The wardrobe was very basic and not very practical. The room was quiet but too warm as the air conditioning was broken: this was really an issue to sleep. The cleanliness of the bathroom was doubtful. The basin was blocked so we had to get some help from reception. Nobody in the staff even apologised for either the blocked basin or the broken air conditioning. The ventilation in the bathroom is inefficient so the room becomes very stuffy and damp. Only 3 large towels were provided : impossible to get a smaller towel for hand or face washing. The toilet cubicle was smelly.

First of all, when i arrived, the AC was not working in the entire building. Considering it's summer season, the 6 nights i spent in the hotel was so inconvenient and was really a terrible downside. The people didn't even offer electric fans. Also, considering that people who stays in the hotels are tourists and not locals, might as well put someone in the reception who can understand and speak English.

We had to switch rooms because the AC was broken, the device where you insert the card to enter the room was broken, the room # had fallen on the floor and the wall in the room looked like someone had punched it. Also, the spare pillow had make up on it. The 2nd room was a bit of an improvement. The AC worked, but was partly broken and looked burnt as did the wall above the heater that was for some reason on when we entered the room (July). I had a fine stay here a couple of years ago, but don’t know what happened. I will not stay there again. I know it is a budget hotel, but you should have at least a clean room that feels safe for the money we paid.

Will not recommend to stay here. The Staff is unfriendly and cant speak English the hotel smelled of cigarette smoke and the cleaning staff hardly cleaned the room. The bathroom also smelled like a blocked drain. complaining to the front desk didnt help as they didnt seem to understand what i was trying to tell them. Parking is terrible to get into and there isnt enough space for all the guests. Will not be staying there again

In short, it wasn't bad as we were out both the days till late in the evening. Very friendly staff, from the maid to the people at the reception. However, they need to make adjustments for the room according to the guests and provide an air-conditioned room to people with children. Unfortunately, we got a room without air conditioner although the booking was made in advance. Later we were provided ventilators many thanks to the team.

Our family of 5 rented 2 rooms for 5 days. The location was excellent as it was very near bus and subway station in a safe environment and supermarket nearby. But the service was wanting. We had to change rooms twice as the first rooms did not have an aircon and the toilet clogged. The aircon did not work the whole 5 days and we had to open the windows at night. Some staff were helpful, one was not. Disappointed and will not come back.

« Overnight stay only...nice welcome when we arrived...hotel clean...room basic but adequate...just a pity about noise from the lift. »

On the whole very satisfied...only 3 negative points really. The noise from the lift next to our room... The view through the window onto shabby building... WIFI connection intermittent,not good.

Room was ok, however doors on shower not a good idea as very tight to get in and out as door does not fully open. Phoned hotel and requested a room on top floor looking out towards the city. When we arrived we had a room on the 1st floor. The member of staff on duty apologised for this and changed us to a room on the 3rd floor, despite the woman who I spoke to in the morning saying we had a room on the top floor with late checkout. WiFi is very poor here, signal kept dropping and had to keep connecting, which other guests have commented on. Tried to order some food on Sunday night and only two items where in stock, lasagne and a toastie with cheese. Not great when the selection is very limited anyways. Pizzas would have been a good idea like many other IBIS Hotels that we have used, but this hotel did not stock this item. Also found out today that the hotel had double charged me on checkout! This had been reversed by the hotel, but it shouldn't have happened, and because of the exchange rate I have lost around £2.00 by the charge and refund being done because the hotel messed up! Would not stay here again. Shame as the member of staff who checked us in was very nice and brilliant at his job.
