« Central living to a fair price »

The location was close to the train station, city life and beach. Price was good in relation to the stay. Breakfast was okay, but refilling the buffet took a bit too long sometimes. Rooms were clean and comfy. The only real minus with this hotel is the elevator. It's really slow and it sometimes felt like it would get stuck.

« Ripped off »

I was charged €1165 for a single room for five nights when I was quoted the same amount for three rooms - I had an email from the hotel saying as much. I was only told this a few days before my arrival so had to find another two rooms at very short notice. These other two rooms cost me €800 for a comparable hotel in a better location. I am extremely dissatisfied with this and would like to know why I was charged over three times the rate that I should have paid?

« Nice stay, very clean and orderly hotel, but the lift is rather slow and one night the air conditioning was too hot. »

Very nice stay overall. The location is great: near the train station as well as very close to all the shops and fun stuff. The housekeeping was always done on time and in a very clean way. The only annoyance was that the lift is a bit slow. Also one night the air con was too hot. I opened the window but the French with their obsession with giving themselves lung cancer blew cigarette smoke into my room from down the street. Also the walls were a little thin so I could hear some of my neighbours’... erm... ’night-time exercises’, if you will. I didn’t mind it to be honest, it just made me a slightly depressed that I wasn’t engaged in similar exercises myself. But overall, this hotel receives my highly coveted recommendation. I will stay in an ibis again next time I’m in France, unless my salary increases before then, in which case I’ll upgrade to a Novotel.

Not satisfied - room too small for the price; My debit card was charged twice, already a week after my stay second authorisation for 135 euros is still blocked. Not very happy with the welcome at the reception - I understand they are very busy during the festival, but still they can try more; no help with the luggage, no further assistance about anything. The only good thing in my experience was the hotel location. The curtains in the room were like in XVI century - really awful.

Our rooms have the standard size of the Ibis brand. In congress period, we make pre authorizations on the bank card. Once your check out done, we close it and between 12 to 72h the money is released on your account. Very good. My two complaints are that every time I want to use the internet I have to put all the info again. In other hotels, I put it the first time and this is good throughout my stay. The second thing is that the elevator is very very slow...the slowest one of any hotel.

The price quoted on line was more expensive than the price displayed at the hotel. This was rectified. Makes me wonder, why book on line and why have a fidelity card?

Our group regularyly stays at Ibbis Cannes Center twice a year for a business trip. It is conviniently located for our needs. The staff is always very helpful and accomodating on all our needs and requests. Rooms are comfortbal, clean and tidy, always ready for our arrival. Wi-fi is available.
