« Lovely room, lovely staff, great location. »

We had a very quiet room, which was just the right temperature. Comfy bed. Great shower. Parked easily. Staff were very friendly and even gave me a plate of little desserts and a card for my birthday, which was much appreciated. Breakfast was very good. Ideal location. Have booked again for the summer.

The room was very nice with all mod cons and the beds were comfortable but it was cold as it's old style heating, a man came and looked at and it was working but the room was still cold

« Great room »

Room was a good size. Shower needs a little bit of maintenance. The bed was nice, but the pillows are too soft, yet two is too much. Of the two cards given to me, one did not work resulting in having to go back downstairs. Could not cool the room down only heat it up.

« Friendly Reception Staff, clean room, good location »

Arrived slightly early than check-in time but was allowed to go straight to the room. Polite and helpful receptionist - even gave me a complimentary map and some helpful directions. Could have done with extra sugar / milk in the room. Bed was a little too firm. Overall though a really nice place to stay and will definitely consider it again. Price was great too.

« Staff were great, room was spacious but very cold. »

I had a good stay at Novotel Sheffield. Checking in was quick & friendly, and the room had lots of room and was clean/well decorated. I noticed it was cold when I walked in and couldn't find a temperature control anywhere, but I was dashing out again, so didn't really think too much of it. When I got back later on, I looked again and didn't find anything, but noticed an electric heater on the wall, so I turned that on. Seems odd in a modern hotel to have an electric heater in the room rather than more efficient, environmentally-friendly solutions. It was also annoying as I had to turn it off before I went to sleep(as it only had 1 setting & was v hot), but then woke up freezing again. Not sure if this is the way with all the rooms, and it wouldn't be a problem in other seasons, but it wasn't that enjoyable.

Thus using warm air flow in cold temperatures and vice versa. Sometimes in cold spells this is not sufficient so the heaters are provided. « Great breakfast, broken high chair, tiny cot bed »

It was a very warm welcome. We paid the additional £40 for the late checkout. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The window didn’t open, which made it stuffy. We asked for a travel cot which was there and ready, but very small and too hard without putting a cot mattress in it. We’re used to that, so we were prepared. Breakfast was the best part, but the high chair was broken and we couldn’t strap here in. We ate dinner with you and ordered fish and chips - very poor fish. We had high expectation and whilst the staff were very friendly and attentive, our experience didn’t quite match.

Great experience. Good price for the room. Staff were helpful, bed was a good size and comfy. Nice and quiet on the 5th floor. I liked having both a shower and bath. The seal on the shower door was broken, but we informed the staff. Breakfast is expensive.
