« Private party in a room.... staff not friendly the next day »

hotel was very nice.... nice room and perfect loacation. on friday night when i stayed there was what could be describved as aprivtae party at around 2 am... im guessing when people came back from there night out.... not very pleasent when your trying to sleep. i spoke to staff the next morning and the responce was " no one else has complained" which maid me feel like beacuse no one else had mentioned the loud music it couldnt possibly be true. Not happy about the responce! on startday there was function at the venue but as that was signposted to say there will be loud music i was more than happy with that. was made to feel like a bit of a wolly. dont think il be goign again to the shefield hotel.

In terms of decor and the rather dried out breakfast this was like a return to the 1980s but staff were helpful and pleasant, the bed was comfortable, the location excellent and the price competitive so a more than satisfactory experience.

Fantastic stay. I arrived early but was able to check in to my room. The room itself was really comfortable and clean. Loved the free wifi and abundance of plug sockets in the room. Wish I'd brought my swimmers as the pool looked great! Breakfast was spot on. The whole experience was perfect and I'll definitely be staying here again when I next need to visit Sheffield.

« Flawed Room but nice staff »

Parking was advertised but the car park is so small that even arriving in the early afternoon it was full. Had to park elsewhere but staff gave a discount voucher. Please advise more clearly that A) CP is small, and B) chargeable. Room's bathroom had a gap in the screen that meant a shower always lead to a wet and slippery floor. No bedside tables on either side. Cold room - with a space heater already in place (presumably for a previous guest), but this leads to very dry air.

Very lovely check in; welcoming staff on the front desk. The room was nice, shame about the lack of view from the window. Didn’t try the breakfast as I thought it seemed overpriced. Room was well furnished, and the shower was excellent. All of the staff were very friendly. Didn’t get a chance to experience the spa facilities. Shame that there was no free parking available; has to pay £22 for the two days in Charles Street Car Park essentially making the room 30% more expensive than it was advertised. Felt like it was a bit of a hidden cost.
