Room was great. A bit hot particularly at night, window wouldn’t open much further and no AC or cooling facilities. On 2nd day, room was left untidied with beds unmade, no fresh toiletries or linen/towels n being with two kids, was not ideal. A sign was left on the door when we went into town to say it needed tidying but this was not done. Needless to say was quite upset n mentioned to Customer care on our return. He did send some fresh towels n toiletries but still had had an uncomfortable night Breakfast was great though n the kids enjoyed the pool

Nice clean room, and nice breakfast menu and restaurant facilities. However, it was a hot weekend, and the room lacked air conditioning, making sleep in the hot weather difficult. Asked the reception for a room fan, and none were available? Asked for additional bottled water and milk to store in the fridge (to cope with the hot weather) - and the request was ignored.

its just a too old hotel. The room is shabby given the price. Surprisingly there are no air conditioning... it made our three summer night stays terrible. There was a party one night and you could feel the drums and bass guitar sound even at 4th floor. Also the bed and pillows were not comfortable. Its quality is worse than any AirBnB. I used to like Novotel but decided no more of it after stay in this hotel. Only good thing was the breakfast.

The room was nice and comfy but too hot as there was no AC. It overlooked a busy road so opening the window resulted in car noise, closing it meant melting.

« Lovely hotel but uncomfortable nights sleep »

The hotel itself was lovely and staff were really friendly. However the temperature in our room was ridiculous! We had the system on it’s minimum setting and the room was unbearable. It was difficult to sleep because of the heat with both my partner and I waking up at regular intervals because of how hot it was. I appreciate the weather has been hot of late but this was ridiculously hot. It would help if you invested in a proper cooling system to make guests more comfortable.

I had a really good time at the Novotel, the room was clean, spacious and the bed really comfortable. Service at the reception, at the bar and the restaurant was excellent. If I could raise one point, I think the water bottle in the fridge should be free for your clients :)

« Clean hotel with great facilities perfect for a short break »

I stayed at the hotel with my friends for a catch up weekend. The hotel met our needs we make full use of the lesuire facilities games in the communal areas and bar at night. It was quiet and you did not always see staff but when ever you needed something they were there and very helpful, the breakfast was lovely and had a wide variety of options.

« was okay, beds could have been a bit more comfortable, no air con and too much noise outside »

Stay was ok, wifi was fast and easy. Room was fairly clean, but the bed felt a bit hard. The room was too hot and with no air conditioning the room was too hot, I opened the window but this let in noise. Nobody at reception even offered a fan.

« Staff lovely, room a little tired »

ROOM 233 The staff were helpful and friendly, the bed comfortable and bedlinen fresh and spotless. However, the room itself was rather tired for a 4 star hotel. There were patches of mould in the bathroom grout, a piece missing from the bath screen (allowing water to go all over the floor) and a loose socket amid the electrical fittings. Despite a thermostat on the wall, there was no aircon in the room. Generally, as I say, the room had been well cleaned, but my feeling was it needed a refresh - a new coat of paint on the walls and better maintenance.
