Stayed here with my 8 year old son for the snooker Amazing location, totally perfect Lovely hotel, unbelievably helpful staff. Great room. Even the beer was cheap! Lovely swimming pool, also various games for my son to play which he loved Very highly recommended

« Very nice hotel,central to Sheffield, friendly staff »

I liked the room. Very minimal noise from other guests. The room was light and bright. There was another door inside the room so it felt cosy and seperate from the corridor. The view was of other buildings and I could see the winter gardens and the peace garden. The hotel is very handy for central Sheffield. The staff were very nice and helpful. As a woman travelling alone I felt safe. The only down side was the tv. It had poor signal probably because of the tall buildings all around. I would recommend this hotel.

« Lovely hotel, great location »

First week was in room 405 - TV, fridge and heating did not work. I was given an electric heater and staff were nice. Second week stayed in room 315 - much better. Although there seems to be a leak next to the toilet? On the whole the staff are very good and accommodating. One staff member not so. Often have to wait a while at reception to be seen. Pool and gym are great, often very quiet. If you are looking for ways to improve, the swiss ball in the gym is useless and needs pumping up. A few extra sit up mats would be helpful as I saw one lady just using her towel when the gym was busy.

I wasn't in the hotel much, but the staff were friendly and accommodating, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was nice.

« room good clean and every thing I neede to hand »

staff friendly helpful, a drunk /down and out/ intruder came in to the dinning hall during meal verbally nasty, dumped two large full rubbish bags on a table and up tipped the table cloth the guests were alarmed but the staff were swift and efficient in dealing with him. the table needed to be completely re set and fresh food brought out.

« OK but so not worth the money »

We stayed for the weekend so we could go to the concert at the O2, we picked you as you were closer than our last hotel, but sorry will not be staying again, the high score is because of your breakfast, what is with the extra door in the hotel room and the whole layout seems strange with the separate toilet, also I know the staff in the morning are busy but having to ask more than twice for coffee is a little off putting.

The hotel is a little tired and the step minto the shower too high for guests with limited mobility but the staff could not have been more helpful in overcoming problems, including overcoming the broken lift from ground floor to reception. I was disappointed in the menu on offer.

« Good, but could have been a bit better »

We arrived very late, due to travel problems. I went to make up the sofa bed and there was no bedding in the room. May I suggest that bedding is left in that type of room, so that you can make it up if required on the first night of the stay, and if it isn't used, remove it the following morning? We also had to put our room card in the slot by the door to get the lights to come on - could this be removed, as I've not encountered this in other Novotel rooms that I've used, it's very annoying when you have things in both hands and can't turn the light on! Staff very helpful, including the young man who brought the bedding up AND stayed and made the sofa bed up for me as well - very much appreciated at 11pm at night!

hotel room lovely ,hotel lovely,breakfast great,staff very good, but all the positives were soured on arrival we were allocated a standard room when we had booked a disability access room many months in advance,and upon arriving home found we had been charged for bottled water from fridge that neither my wife or myself ever drink at any time. what a cheek , i assume one bottle was removed on our last but one day when milk sachets were replaced by room staff. a great shame really because apart from these two issues i would give your hotel a top rating

Came with my husband as he was attending a conference. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff very helpful and pleasant, good facilities, excellent food a fab choice for breakfast. Will definitely stay again if we return to the area and thoroughly recommend
