« Sofitel luxury in the heart of Paris »

We planned a trip to Paris to coincide with the Salon du Chocolat Paris as well as my birthday. I’m a Gold Accor member so was secretly hoping for some additional TLC during this stay. As they claimed to be fully booked, I did not get an upgrade from the booked luxury premium room. Regardless, the room was spacious by Parisian standards, tastefully decorated but in need of some refreshing as the mirrors next to the bed were tarnished (not sure if this was intentional) and the ceiling above the shower was peeling off. Other than that, the service was consistently Sofitel - good quality with five star standards. I did not get the friendliness and above and beyond that I’ve experienced in other Sofitel hotels in the world such as in London and Singapore, and also compared to the Hyatt Paris Madeleine that we’ve stayed in twice previously and the Park Hyatt Place Vendome that we stayed in during our last most recent visit. However, concierge was helpful as was the bell service. All in all, a pleasant stay in Paris at a location close to all the major tourist attractions, good food and high end shopping.

This is not an inexpensive stay but what you get for the money is perfection all the way. The rooms are beautiful, well-appointed and comfortable, The restaurant and bar are great and the entire staff is warm and attentive. This is the way to travel.

« We’ve been very satisfied with our last three visits. Only problem this time was wait for suite which was somewhat expected because of our early AM arrival. »

I have stayed with you 3 times this year, this is my 5th visit overall to this hotel. Check in was delayed until 4pm, overall the welcome was poor, arriving at 7am and having to wait and be told 2pm, then 4pm when I have paid 2500 euros for 3 nights is disappointing. Positives, was given, only when I asked a basic room to shower in at 2pm. Also generously 2 bottles of champagne were sent to my room.

« Great location but sub-par service »

The location of the hotel was great but the service (esp luggage storage and housekeeping) experienced was below satisfaction. We requested a twin bed which was not available for our class. The front desk offered to upgrade our room (to one that had twin beds) but indicated that the room was only available at 4. We returned to our hotel at 7 and noticed that the bed was still one double bed. We approached the front desk again and they arranged for housekeeping to attend to our room. Housekeeping arrived one hour later, changed the sheets and the re-arranged the bed setting. They have also, whilst taking the old sheets, taken the white Apple earphones that were on my bed. I notified the front desk and still, to date, they have not located my lost earphones. On the second day, a bathrobe went missing and on the third day, the toiletries were not replenished. On the last day of our visit, we left our luggage for storage. The man took our luggage and informed us that he will return with our luggage tag. I finished checking out and still the man has not returned. We asked him for our tags (after watching him chat with various guests walking by) and his response was "I've given them to you". We insisted that he hasn't, he left, and returned with our tags with an expressionless - "This is your tag".

Bar/Lounge area lovely and service superb Our room 415...... Bathroom looked tired . Taps on sink and sink seen better days.We are both quite able and had difficulty getting out of the bath!Heaven help anybody slightly disabled! Only one drawer to put clothes in....had to live out of the suitcase for none hanging items. Bed also not good.... one side which obviously had been sat on to operate the television was much lower than the other. I know we paid in advance and got a good rate but I felt we didn’t get good value for money and we have stayed with you many times.

The experience was wonderful. Everyday the employesss asked if they could help you. the doorman were excellent a few times we were in the lobby waiting for a ride because the street was block off the drivers were waiting at the end of the street and the doorman would walk down and find us our ride.

We loved our room, and it was always perfectly clean by the house keeping staff. Breakfast was delicious and the service there was excellent. The best part of every day was talking to the gentlemen at the front entrance - friendly, helpful, and even taught me a little French.

Overall very good. The staff is attentive and pleasant. The hotel has a very comfortable and elegant feel which I enjoy. I was on the 6th floor where the room has a slanted ceiling that makes it a bit crampt. There was a slight sewage odor coming out of the bathroom.

« Exquisite Elegance »

We stayed for five nights in October and found the hotel property and the staff to be some of the best we have ever encountered. Each staff person was friendly, extremely helpful and really cared about our comfort. A special commendation to the concierge who monitored our lost luggage so that we did not have to. Both restaurant recommendations that they made were excellent too. All in all it was a wonderful stay!

I enjoyed the hospitality displayed by the front desk staff, the doorman and the breakfast staff. The room was clean and nicely appointed. Comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Only issue for me was that someone had smoked in my bathroom (during cleaning?) and I had to breathe the stale air upon my return from work that day.

« Staff was very helpful directions for a problem with my phone, and getting tickets for the Venice show. »

I had the wonderful room, 416 and enjoyed the quiet and the extra space to work. Much appreciated the gift of the tea. As mentioned above, staff was wonderful in helping me with the phone problem. -Please list on my information/profile to have more 'black teas'---rather than green and herbal teas in the room. -Also please list to have the NY Times and Finacial times send to the room. I forget to mention this when checking in. -I enjoyed my dinner in the new restaurant and hosted a friend who also enjoyed it. And warm enough to eat outside. I will be returning to Paris about 5 times a year for meetings with Danone . I enjoyed staying at the Sofitel Hotel Baltimore a few times, but I prefer your hotel and location, so plans to be with you.

Air conditioning not working, room not serviced, 2 calls had to be made regarding each matter. Bags left with receptionist lost for a while. Hotel v busy but still should not have happened!
