The hotel was convenient to everything I want to see and do in Lyon. The hotel itself is an architectual gem with an amazing lobby and breakfast room. Good parking and easy access to the highway, rail station and Metro.

« Taxi issue »

I came to your hotel around 19.00 and booked a taxi for 08.30 for the next morning during checkin and was at lovby at 08.25 for my taxi and have been told that my taxi will arrive in couple of min however after 9.00 (after my meeting started) I have been told that taxi is not coming and I missed my meeting which is the reason I came to Lyon at first place; it was my worst hotel experience

An old Belle Epoch hotel across from a railway station. This hotel is at best 3 stars not 4. Thin walls, small bathrooms, although the rooms have been renovated to a comfortable standard. A glass of redwine at the hotel bar costs an outrageous Euro 9,50!

Beautiful building but everything inside was extremely dated: furniture, carpet. The shower was dysfunctional. I was sick for 2 days since the breakfast did not propose any non lactose option for the milk. 100% of cheap hotels I visited recently did. This was closer to one star experience.

« Good accommodation, supporting staff but confusing payment model »

Very neat and undisturbed services. Hotel staff supports with maps and guidance for commute. Very few options for Indian vegetarians at breakfast. Salads can compliment. Confusing payent model by blocking huge amount in the beginning. We 2 stayed in a double bed room, and initial amount was taken from my card by saying only "Blocking" , however at checkout time it was clear that the amount will get refund only after few days which is really not fare. I was left with very minimal cash in my card which was uncomfortable for shopping at Lyon. If 2 people are sharing, initial amount can be shared between them so that one need not to get stressed.

« Perfect service, but room can be better »

We stayed a week for the SIRHA event in January, the service was excellent. People always smiling and answered very politely and fast. The problem was the rooms, we expected better for a 4*. The heater was not working really good, even at max, we still felt the cold. They send someone to "fix" it but it didn't change a thing. The thing to hook the shower was broken, so we couldn't hook it. No toothbrush (you can get at the reception), shampoo and gel shower are a 2-in-1. The power plugs are limited also and not easy to access, they are behind the desk for the lamp and the mini-fridge (empty by the way). So if you have to plug your laptop and your phone it is quite complicated. It would be nice to have a power plug on bed side.

« Nice hotel but very arrogant behavior in the hotel bar! »

The hotel was nice though I would be expecting in a 4* hotel real cups in the hotel room and not plastic/paper ones. Why I have rated you only 4 points out of 10 is because we had a very bad experience with the hotel bar! The waitress served us the drinks and tells us only after that she would be closing the bar in 10 min when we only started to drink and our glasses were still full! When we told her that it's only 22:30 and the bar is supposed to be open till midnight she responded that there is nobody in the bar (so I guess we were ghosts to her) so she took the decision to close it sooner.

« Great stay at warm and beautiful Chateau Perrache »

I was very pleased to discover Mercure Hôtel Chateau Perrache. The interior is beautiful, calm, cosy and elegant at the same time. The staff was helpful and very professional. Breakfast was great, and had some local touch. If I could give one advise it's to offer a more qulaitative espresso! We were welcome to sit and work at the bar, in the lobby and at the restaurant outside of meal times. During our stay the hotel hosted the team from a European film festival around movies with handicapped people. We were happy to learn that Mercure sponsored them by providing rooms for the people working for the festival, as many do so on a volunteer basis. A great heart-warming initiative!

« Not up to the standard we expect from Accor »

Our reception experience was disappointing, I am disabled and we could have been offered help to find the lifts, one of which was out of action, help with luggage, it was late and I was tired. I am a Silver member but no welcome drink was offered. My husband did go down and ask about this and was offered one as I was too tired to go down. The room was clean. it looked as if we could have made a hot drink but there was no kettle. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom ok. I had a shower in the morning but their was water everywhere, no shower mat. I could have slipped. Breakfast good, check out not usual standard, ordered a taxi, again no help offered.

« Nice location but noisy and smelly. »

The parking was a bug plus for us, persons at the reception were cold and quite lasy. The room was on the last floor, there was a hole in the frame of the window therefore it was noisy, the room was clean, but there was a humidity smell in the room. The mattress was really hard. Low chance for us to come back to this hotel.

« convenient location in Lyon centre, but careful as some rooms are 1 star standard »

As i arrived on the first night i was put on a room on the 4th floor that was not renovated. Experience was terrible on everything except for the bed. The door frames were worn down, the soap bottle in the shower was taken out and was on the sink (there was no other soap in the sink), the door lock was totally unsafe meaning i could feel the door could be easily opened from the outside. I slept so badly that i asked the reception to change the room. I was given a room on the 5th floor as it was in line with the hotel expectations then

« It was a lovely hotel but I had a cold night sleep the first night due to balcony door left open on arrival »

I arrived at the hotel after midnight, very tired so wanted to go straight to bed. I arrived in my room with the balcony doors open so my room was freezing and I didn't sleep well because of the cold. Im not sure why the balcony doors were left open but it was not the best first impression of the room. Breakfast was fine, I am gluten free so I had to ask for gluten free bread as there was none out but the waiter bought me a plate of GF bread and cakes which were lovely. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I slept better the 2nd night as I managed to turn up the heating in the room. Overall the hotel was nice, it was just a shame about the first night sleep!

« Very clean and friendly staff »

We had an enjoyable stay and the rooms were clean and spacious that was important specially with 2 kids. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only uncomfortable part was the parking being under construction so I had to park in the terminal next door that was a bit hectic to walk into crowed terminal with the kids.
