We got the room we wanted in location we wanted. 725 is smaller than the one we were last time (723 or 721), but we fit in and had a stay in absolute quietness, which we want.

Great hotel in excellent town center location.Staff were helpful in finding local restaurants.Room (privilege) was spacious and with coffee & tea making facilities. Bathroom was nice and spotless.Bar on 8th floor is pleasant and breakfast (1st floor) was great with ample choice.

« Very enjoyable and comforatable stay »

This was a treat for my daughter and two daughters-in-law. We were able to take our rooms from 11.00am, which we did not request and did not think that we would be able to do this, it was a real bonus with a baby in tow! All the staff were extremely helpful, especially in the Sky Bar where we were able to warm the babies night drink every evening, a very big thank you for this. The rooms (two standard) were clean and comfortable and both of a good size as we had our travel cot with us. I have stayed in Nice in the Mercure Grimaldi earlier in the year and this mercure was so much better for me. The fridge in the room was very much appreciated too. We didn't use the fitness centre but had a quick look, it had a good assortment of gym equipment and the hot tub really looked inviting. Although the swimming pool was closed this was of a good size and looked extremely clean. There was also a secluded large private garden area off the first floor. We took breakfast which had a decent selection of food but I can see how some would not rave about it as there was only mixed vegetables to compliment the sausage, scrambled egg and boiled eggs. However all was cooked nicely. There was a better selection of a continental breakfast and the breads and pastries were all very good. Oh I mustn't forget the pancakes. The hotel was in a prime position, walked out of the door and a few yards to the right you were on the main street. We took the bus 99 from the airport on arrival and walked to the hotel, 5 - 10 minutes, but on the return journey we booked a Uber Van 39 euro and very special! A lovely 3 nights stay and would recommend this hotel.

« Pretty good hotel in amazing location. »

The hotel was clean and good looking, especially the reception area. The location of the hotel was amazing, really close to everything. Room was clean and checked every day which was nice. But the rooms equipment very really defective. There was no real glass cups or cups for coffee. Only non-recyclable plastic cups and paper cups for coffee. And no champagne glasses. I recommend that the hotel changes that plastic rubbish to real cups and glasses. The room had bathtub but no bubble bath which was a little minus. The beds should have thicker mattress pads because the bed was a bit hard atleast for me and my girlfriend. Breakfast was something you might assume for a city hotel but the lack of fruits and vegetables was notable. I couldn't train at the gym because it wasn't open at 7am. Hotel gym should be open 24h in a day. Jacuzzi on the top of the hotel was pleasant.

We had a lovely break. We were able to check in early without any extra fee. The hotel was clean and functional. Breakfast was nice, all the usual food I would expect. The rooftop bar and hot tub/gym area was very nice. The swimming pool wasn't open when we stayed (October), but I'm sure it would have been great.

Good service, room and facilities. I have stayed in the hotel on three occasions and would hope to return in the future. However for a privilege room the bath towels are not large enough.

Mercury Nice Center Notre Dame is well located renovated Hotel. This Hotel situated in pedestrian area few meters from supermarket and many other shops. Mercury is very closed to most of Nice attractions and Central train station. Hotel Team is very helpful. Rooms are very clean and big. Breakfast price is unreasonable.

I, as a platinum member, stayed at Mercure Nice Centre Notre Dame in 2017 & 2018. Last year I arrived at the hotel around 11:00 in the morning but they refused to give me 1. early check in, 2. room upgrade & 3. late check out. After my complaint, the hotel manager gave me only the late check out. She apologized & said that they would not make the similar mistake again next time. This year I stayed again at this hotel. Before my arrival, I emailed them that I am sensitive to the cleanness of the room & I asked them to clean(make up) my room thoroughly every day including the change of bed sheets. But on Thursday, October 4, 2018, they did not clean my room as I requested. 1. they did not change the bed sheets, 2. they put pillows on the sofa (not on the bed), 3. they threw one sleeper inside the room & three sleeper on the balcony as the trash & 4. the tissue box in the bathroom was empty for three days. I was very upset & complained. This time again the manager & the general manager made an apology & promised not to make the similar mistake again. Three days later after my check out, I emailed them to add my status & reward point to my account. But they did not reply to me at all. After seven days , I called the platinum customer center to ask about my point. I heard that Mercure Nice Centre Notre Dame did not send any information of my stay & the customer center must contact the hotel to request my point accumulation. I do not expect a high quality of service from Mercure but, at least, they must provide a standard quality of service. And they must learn how to treat customers, especially the platinum customers. I am very much disappointed with them. I do not want to stay this terrible hotel again. I strongly request an apology from the general manager of this terrible hotel.

Our stay was very relaxing and overall comfortable. The hotel reception staff was friendly and helpful. Otherwise the staff did not speak very good English so it was quite hard to get service or help.

The group liked the location of the hotel and the hotel itself. The group did not like being annexed off into a separate room for breakfast (where the toaster didn't work) and being made to eat at the same time. They also didn't like being made to check out at 0900 rather than the published time of 1100.
