« Best for at least 50 years »

This was the best hotel I have stayed in for at least 50 years, of a kind I could never normally afford. We had a brilliant room on the second floor overlooking the sea. The service was excellent. After thinking we would not do so, because it would be too expensive, we ate in the restaurant twice and really enjoyed our meals.

« Fantastic »

We needed a nice place to stay on our return trip from S France and decided to stay here for a night although slightly out of our way. We were looking for a hotel with large comfortable rooms as we were accompanied by our two large dogs. Wow, did this place live up to expectations. Upon arrival parking spaces were full but the concierge said he would find a spot for us, which he did about 20 metres from the entrance. Upon arriving we were upgraded to a room with sea views. The room was fantastic, plenty of space and a huge bathroom/dressing room. The sea views were fantastic especially the sunset. All the staff were courteous, even providing special ceramic dog bowls and treats. I have to say that the bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in for a long time, especially appreciated after our long journey. I would highly recommend this hotel and I shall definitely return. One point, the hotel restaurant wasn’t open for dinner on Monday evenings but there are plenty of alternatives nearby.

« For Proust lovers but not only »

Nice stay, mostly for Marcel Proust lovers. A beautiful and comfortable "fin-de-siècle" Grand Hotel, planted over the sea, and bordered by a perfect Normandy style garden. We tried the "aquarium" (Proust reminiscence) restaurant and have enjoyed very much.

« An enjoyable Grand Hotel experience which left you with a calm feeling »

Parking the car was made very easy by an attendant who was excellent. The reception on arrival were extremely polite but failed to point out to me that breakfast was included in our stay. Again the buffet lunch was not explained well enough. I still do not know if it included wine or not. I did not like the gourmet experience. Some of the meals were well executed but others the meat was tough and just too fanciful. If I had been staying a week I would not have been able to eat in the main restaurant each night. I think time for a menu revue. More attention needs to be done to make sure the staircases and landings are always quickly vacuumed. There was a lot of sand near the lifts before dinner. These area should be checked regularly and kept pristine. Overall a good experience especially the beach attendants and the night staff.

« Great hotel overlooking the sea »

We really enjoyed staying in this hotel in a lovely, spacious room overlooking the sea. The service was excellent from all personnel. The range and quality of food at breakfast was very good. We had dinner in the restaurant on one evening and that also met our expectations. If we are in this part of France again, we will certainly stay at Le Grand Hotel in Cabourg.

Gorgeous view and sunsets from our extraordinary room. Family suite was extremely spacious with a huge bathroom. Service was top notch. Excellent dinner recommendations. My husband and 3 teen daughters felt like royalty in your hotel.

Having booked and paid for well in advance using the Accor website we opted for a south facing garden view room, which was enormous and contained one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. We found the staff extremely friendly, especially the chap on reception whom checked us in & out. The only complaints we have is that for the price we paid, we felt breakfast should have been included, having stayed in many 5 star hotels worldwide this usually the norm. Also, from your website it is very misleading in that it gives you the impression that the beach facilities are part of the hotel, when infact they are not, and an additional fee is payable for there use.

« This is a Grand Hotel »

We stayed lovely large rooms. One of them had a smaller bathroom. Both rooms were nice with a view of the square in front of the hotel. Would have been nice with sea view. The breakfast was quite good. But not up to mgallery standard. The staff was kind and helpful and the hotel has all over the Grand Hotel feeling of old days. Keep up the good work and we will certainly be back.
