I found the hotel to be well situated for visiting the sites of central Bordeaux and the many excellent restaurants in the town centre. The hotel was comfortable and the room service offered good choices at reasonable prices.

« Worst Mercure I have ever experienced »

Poor management, worst security controls. Other people can use their room card to access your room in the early morning and the hotel cannot figure out what's going on in the security system.

« The room was too starkly decorated, the hotel too outdated, and the bed too uncomfortable for a 4-Star rating. It would be difficult to give it a 3. »

The walls were a bright white, with old posters of old movies and old movie stars on the walls that had zero decorative value. The bed was hard as a rock. I’ve stayed at 3-Star hotels that were nicer. It was overall a very disappointing experience.

« Room for improvement but not a bad hotel »

Nice hotel, modern, clean and quiet in the heart of the city. Disappointed by the complete absence of toiletries in our room on arrival... Not even soap to wash our hands! The room was a great size. I gave myself a second degree burn on the bedside lamp which has a metal shade which gets extremely hot. I'm also disappointed we were required to pay a €100. security deposit and a fortnight later this still hasn't be refunded to our credit card.

« Gloomy location but short walk from action. »

It is confined between ugly buildings, dont expect any fancy views from your bedroom. Action is 5 minutes walk from the hotel that is the positive side. Lobby is very well set, feels warm and has all commodities. Rooms all fairly new, nothing fancy but efficient and clean. Breakfast is very average. Quality of food not on top, staff not focussed on customers satisfactions, requests are hard to be satisfied. Coffee machines old style, no lattes no cappuccino. Only go there when price is low.

« Just perfect »

Our room is very clean and very comfortable. The staff throughout the hotel are very helpful and professional. We have eaten in the restaurant for the past three nights, and each night a wonderful meal. I have a serious problem with dairy products and the restaurant staff have catered to my needs. The location of the hotel is just a two minuets walk to the main town. A great place to experience Bordeaux.

« 'cold' place »

The hotel is on a good place regarding the center of Bordeaux. No problem with the rooms next to ours. But it was the winter and the room was very cold. No heating except the air co, insuffisant to reach a correct temperature in the room (problem also with the window). The situation was explained at the reception but no reaction. It was a 'privilege' room in an hotel **** : for 2 persons but except the bed, the installation was only for one person !!!. We ask for another chair (OK we have received it).

« Noisy night! »

Poor nights sleep due to intermittent loud noise from machinery outside our window, room 307. Complained to reception, the receptionist asked her colleague if she knew of any noises present, replied no. Sorted then! We must have imagined it. Never going back.

« A Brief Respite in Bordeaux »

Property was nice but room was warm and we couldn't open the window. Last day, we needed a taxi and reception called, no answer and we saw taxi stand outside. We told the lady we would go there but she pushed forward, then taxi from stand would not take us. Cost another 7 euro.

Good Morning, I thank you for your comment, and sorry to read that your entire stay has not retained full satisfaction. Regarding the heat of the room, I immediately inform our technician. Moreover for reasons of security we can not open the windows. A study is underway for change. Know that we work a clean taxi company at the hotel. taxis outside are paused and take no one. « Overall good but a few shortcomings that disturb the overall image »

Good location but - overcrowded breakfast place, which meant shortages in food, only one dubble Nespresso machine with one part that broke... - inconceivable that privilège rooms do not have any cabinet to put clothes (certainly for a 5 nights stay!!) - rooms were fully prepaid and still I was asked a guarantee of 500 (!!!) € which I find quite offensive.
