Room was excellent. It was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well appointed. Reception was friendly and helpful. Hotel well situated in Bordeaux to easily walk to the Christmas Market and Theatre district, and main sights of the City.

Excellent. The room was superb; clean, fresh and very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and adequate for our needs. Reception was excellent and the young ladies M. it were polite and very helpful. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice, expecially the hot items. Was disappointed there was no Maple Syrup to pour over the crepes; but was a minor issue!

« Hotel refurbishment made stay underwhelming »

Had to wait for room until 2:40pm. Later transpired this was because refurb was not complete on our room. Had we known we would have started to explore Bordeaux instead of waiting. Room was not complete - one bedside table missing and fridge until not wired properly. Absence of bar on ground floor meant a makeshift bar on second floor which was unwelcoming and without soul. Room comfortable nevertheless and manager did apologise by putting some additional points on our account.

« Adequate for the price. »

Room due for refurbishment and shelves in the room/ wardrobe would be useful as only hanging rail for clothes. Only one bedside table in a double room. No seperate shampoo/ conditioner in bathroom. Reception refurbishment Underway but not mentioned on website, though works weren’t in progreyovet the weekend. We didn’t book breakfast however two breakfasts were initially charged for on fast checkout. If I hadn’t examined my bill then this could have been paid. It was corrected but why did it occur, does it happen often and is paid without people realising?

Even though the reception area was under construction, it did not affect our stay very much. Guillam and Emillie were especially helpful in reception with future reservations and area hints. Location to tram services was very good. Breakfast gave many choices to include local cheeses and pastries. Good fresh fruit.

My company had booked a total of 5 rooms over 12 nights. We were not informed during making the reservation that the hotel lobby would be under renovation. The front desk is highly rude and doesn’t take the time to understand the customers need.

« Not very good! »

The room is ok, as are the rest of the hotel general areas. We loved the breakfast room. Unfortunately this was overshadowed by a really bad internet. I don’t know if having the last room at the end of the hall was the cause, but it kept falling away... The shower was clogged and very slippery and the bathroom wasn’t updated as the room itself. Having the cleaning staff shouting at eachother at 8 am wasn’t either a fun experience, so it will be a while before i book a Mercure hotel again.

our family like the stay at this hotel: we booked two rooms and these two co-located and it feel like a two bedrooms suite allowing family members easily walk-in and out without disturbing others. The breakfast was great. Great location to the center cultural places. we definitely want to stay this hotel when we are in Bordeaux next time.
