I enjoyed my stay, overall... EXCEPT SLEEPINGI was disatisfied that Accor does not offer Feathers Quilt and Pillow as I am allergic to Synthetic Fabrics, which are very unconfortable to me...For such a Large Hotel Group, this is NOT ACCEPTABLE

As a gold member I was expecting an upgrade of the room bur wasn't offerd one. Also the welcome drink was not offered, which was a bit of a disappointment. The room was ok, nothing special. The staff was helpfull and the breakfast was what I expected.

« Rouen is a must »

A great start to our visit to a vibrant city. Welcomed very warmly by the reception team in English, we had attempted our French, and nothing too much trouble. Allocated a very clean and comfortable room on a higher floor overlooking the park at the rear. Without exception all the Mercure team at Champ De Mar .made us feel very welcome. We will visit again as soon as possible, without hesitation.

ideally situated for sight seeing & trying the local wines & beers.. The restaurant was first class & staff couldn't be more helpful at both breakfast & dinner service. . The best Bloody Mary for miles was served in the bar !

Pleasant hotel with rather dull rooms. Restaurant rather expensive and our fish and chip dish was spoilt by very poor cooking of the fish. A shame since previously we have had some pleasant meals at this hotel. Cost cutting?

Normal Mercure, good position with parking. This time I had a single room very disappointed, more like an old ibis room. bed was uncomfortable, floor was old in plastic. Amenities were the minimum. Towels quality very poor. only one big and one small. no minibar . It is not a 4 stars ! carpet on the way quite dirty. Need renovation ! Room service was good. staff ok.

Easy, simple, comfortable, friendly staff and decent location. Thumbs up. I don't have any real complaints, perhaps the car park you have to pay for and is very tight, however it is very secure. Would stay again for sure.

« Comfortable accommodation but not terribly well located »

The Mercure is a good place to stay if you are passing through Rouen and there are several good restaurants in the vicinity. On street parking was easy to find (Saturday evening) but the hotel does have well priced private parking if necessary. Staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms are a bit tired though. One suspects it will be shortly do for a major renovation. Breakfast buffet was good. The biggest problem with the hotel is the location if you want to visit the historic centre of Rouen - just a bit too far to call it convenient.

We thought that when a hotel had aircon it would be available all year round but not here as it is only available in the Summer months...therefore this is NOT an air-conditioned hotel. Paper cups and wooden sticks to make your tea and coffee do not belong in a 4star hotel. There was no fridge in the room. Although the restaurant served some excellent oysters the rest of the offering was poor and mostly cold. Breakfast was excellent.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in the Mercure Rouen Champ de Mars Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the hotel had a very nice atmosphere. There are other hotels closer to the centre of town, if that's your thing, but it's only a 15/20 minute walk and you're right in the centre of everything. Nice hotel and a nice few days.

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly and we enjoyed a good breakfast before we left in the morning. The hotel has onsite parking and it is in walking distance of Rouen centre.

« Great hotel and exceptional service. »

Check-in was superb and excellent advice provided on where to visit in the city. Very good room with comfortable bed. The hotel is very pet friendly, as is all of France. Of particular note is the excellent service provided by the very profession guy running the bar; although the customer care provided by all the staff was outstanding.

« A night in Rouen »

We arrived quite late but were delighted to find the on site restaurant was open until 22:30 and served a wide range of tasty, fresh food, as well as having a good wine list. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. All in all just what we needed for an overnight stay to break what was for us a short stop on a long drive.

Good hotel very easy to get to and away from with satnav. Close to the centre but away from the crowds. Standard breakfasts but close to good restaurants. We eat out in the old town on this trip but the restaurant has been good on previous trips.

« Beautiful city, nice hotel. »

Booked this hotel as we were visiting Rouen for Davis Cup tennis( France vs GB). As the hotel was along the riverside it was easy to access the stadium. Rouen was beautiful and it was easy to reach the town centre either on foot or by bus from the hotel. Hotel staff at reception were very helpful and provided extra tea/coffee when requested. Staff suggested an easy way out of the hotel to walk directly into old town. Rooms were a good size with ample storage space. Twinned room was booked - single beds were a good size. All areas of hotel were clean and well cared for. Ate in restaurant on the arrival night - good food. However as there were so many fabulous restaurants in the old town we often ate there. Only reservations - no safe, no nice toiletries( bring your own) limited tea /coffee/milk provided, no mugs/cups/saucers - one paper cup per person per day.

Bit tricky to find and rather unassuming from the outside but no complaints on the inside. Nice, helpful and professional staff. Underground parking. Room with bath perfectly OK. Bar snacks excellent as was breakfast. Would stay there again.

Good standard for Mercure chain hotel. Staff most welcoming . Hotel and rooms clean. Food acceptable. Good location for walking to old town.No problem with car park. All in all a good hotel within it's catagory.

Friendly welcome, nice calm room with balcony, confortable double bed, and also big for french standards. Location not very central but quite ok to be reached by bus. I also appreciated the boiler to make tea, coffee and the free bottles of water. Good price. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because we thought it was a little bit expensive.

Very convenient hotel for visiting Rouen, just a ten minute walk to the centre of Rouen from the hotel. Had dinner in the hotel and the food was very good, especially the L'escargot vol-e-vent, service very good as well. Comfortable bed and nice quiet room. The hotel could have been slightly better sign posted coming off the motorway!
