« Convenient location, welcoming and comfortable accommodation. »

Good location travelling from Eurotunnel to the Dordogne. Clean and comfortable room with good facilities. Welcoming and helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Only disappointment was that the restaurant was not open Friday - Sunday but we were made most welcome at the adjacent Courtpaille Grill (including our dog).

« One night at Val De Reuil »

An ideal place to stop en route to the Dordogne having travelled on Eurotunnel. Comfortable, clean and good sized room. This hotel is very dog friendly. The only disappointment was that the restaurant was not open Friday, Saturday and Sunday but fortunately the adjacent Courtpaille grill allowed our dog inside (with a 15% discount)

« Not a 4* but tries hard to compensate »

I needed a place that was equidistant between Deauville and Paris, this hotel fitted perfectly. I noticed straight away it has the exact same 70's design as the old Mercure in Beauvais, which before changing to a Ibis Styles was also showing signs of age. Accor cannot change this to an Ibis Styles as there is already one across the road. So they compensate by having very good staff, making sure it is clean and tidy and having a good breakfast. All for a good value price. It is very convenient to the A13.

« Excellent - and very pleased to have stayed in your Hotel. »

A very nice Hotel with friendly and helpful staff - and very comfortable beds. However, one adverse point (which does not reflect on the overall Excellent standard of the Hotel), is the Car Park security, ie. there is a 6 metre gap between the Sliding Metal Security Gate and the perimeter security fence and, also, one of the Car Park Security Lights was not working. The result of this was that someone simply entered the Hotel Car Park/Premises through the gap in the fence and stole one of my Car Wheel Hub Chrome VW Badges - and also damaged the other 3 after unsuccessfully trying to remove them. In accordance with the sign at the Hotel's front entrance, I had taken every precaution to secure my car. However, it does seem to be a little unfair that, in the circumstances, 'the Hotel Management is not responsible for any loss or damage'.

« A nice comfortable Hotel »

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Mercure Rouen Val De Reuil on 6 September 2018 - very friendly and helpful staff and the beds were the most comfortable we have ever experienced..Our only disappointment (which does not alter our EXCELLENT grading) was the security of the Hotel Car Park. The Hotel Car Park is entered via a sliding metal security gate with a security fence surrounding the whole premises and security lights around the car park.. However, the Security Fence stops some 6 metres short of the Sliding Metal Security Gate with the result that anyone can enter the hotel premises by simply walking through the gap and one of the security lights was (we later discovered) not working.On arrival, we parked our car immediately under the Security Light (which we later discovered was not working) immediately opposite the Hotel Front Entrance and in full view of Reception. The next morning we discovered that one of the Car Wheel Hub Caps Chrome VW Badges had been stolen and the other 3 were badly damaged after failed attempts to remove them.A sign by the Hotel Main Entrance states that guests should take every precaution to secure their property and that the Management is not responsible for any losses or damages. We took every precaution to secure our car but, unfortunately, the Hotel's Car Park problems sadly meant that our security precautions were in vain.

As it was a Friday evening the hotel restaurant was closed which was a shame although we knew in advance that it would be. Nonetheless, the staff were very helpful and friendly after a kind day’s drive from SW France. The restaurant next door was fine and only a short distance away, so we had a nice meal there.

« Clean room, very goo breakfast, bathroom needs attention. »

Stay was pleasant, room clean, easy access, good referral to a restaurant, breakfast had a good choice food and everything was plentiful. Except, the bathroom. In the corner of the bath and the bath-panel there was plenty of black mold. Also the strip at the bottom of the glasspanel was very dirty. This is a shame, as it does not take much to clean it, or at regular intervals have it seen to (replace kit and strip). Small cost but great impact on customer satisfaction.

We were provide with two adjoining rooms for a family of 5. The rooms were clean and comfortable for a one night stay. This Mercure doesn’t look too great from the outside and could benefit from some better outside seating areas.
